    Hmm ok so here's the thing: Professional Astrologers who use Synastry and Composite Chart methods, start by looking at each person's individual Natal Chart and getting a grasp of what each person is like individually, before even looking at Synastry, Composite and other methods. They are additional tools, to gain added insights that you might otherwise miss, and imho they have their worth.

    Studying Synastry from the family perspective and especially from the ancestral perspective, is quite amazing and healing.

    I'm an astrologer and I love Synastry but not in the way you were describing. What I look at is the overlay of house placements, conjunctions and oppositions. This does nit predict compatibility nor longevity. It simply gives a feel for how connections can play out. I do agree that before I attempt a Synastry chart I look at the Natals beforehand. Yes, we are all on our own journeys and I honor that. People will come in our lives for different reasons and seasons. Synastry is NOT a crock! We are all here to both teach and learn. Twin souls and soulmates is not a concept I put much importance in simply because we evolve and grow. Sometimes that strengthens the couple other times we grow apart. This is life.

    I love how refreshing this is! The desire to ‘want to know’ and like Cat said ‘seek approval’ from our spiritual modality instead of letting it be as it is can disrupt your own peace before the relationships has even truly begun. Discovered you Acyuta-bhava through Reydient Reality at the May full moon eclipse. Your ways of sharing this wisdom and knowledge is so refreshing and grounded. Looking forward to learning and seeing more of these videos. Thank you :)

    I used the natal charts of my sons to help them see the merit and necessity of qualities in one another that were bothering the other one immensely. They both thought the other could just change, but was refusing, and after many yrs of mediating and having discussions about what we all thought and saw was happening, their sitting with their charts made all the difference. One was unsurprisingly hard about it at first, but then softened after a week of contemplation to have compassion and give his brother the space needed to be the way he is. And the one who was immediately relieved to have this laid out so clearly immediately integrated it into his part of the relationship and waited for his brother. They get along so well now! Previously, it was always feast or famine in their affection and respect for one another. Now they've modified their own part of the interactions, respectively, and conflict has nearly ceased- just normal and non-harmful or urgent, minor conflicts. It's been several months. They've always had a tight bond, but it was difficult to maintain, and now it is so much easier for them. I hear them being fair and kind to one another about things they fought about before. They're both teenagers. I don't know about composite charts, but I can't see how that would have been useful, to take a statistical and archetypal average of two brothers, when they are two different individuals who need to know themselves and the other and make decisions within their relationship in accordance with this. I prefer this way :)

    An astrologer friend of mine called each of us a walking transit when we interact with each other...
    I have used composite charts and found them reliable, if not impossible.
    It's interesting to me that I can experience transits that occurred before I was born.
    Yes to basing everything off ones natal chart first and foremost!

    A curious and somewhat risky line of argument to me. I mean wouldn’t the same logic apply to individual birth charts? Almost every critic of astrology says you can’t tell who a person is or what their choices will or should be, therefore what their life will be like, based on a chart. So what’s the point? 🤔

  • @LorenElara
    @LorenElara 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Love most of your content and astrological diagnosis. But you can tell pretty easily that you’ve viewed synastry analysis in contempt from the get go. I don’t think you really gave it a chance, and thus have an uncharacteristically slanted view. For example, the assumption that astrologers who use synastry don’t initially diagnose the individual natal charts for context first and foremost. Also, it’d feel like short charging a couple by just doing a horary chart for them.

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you do that it's rare compared to how I've seen most people using synastry...again no offense to those who use it sensitively...I haven't seen this from most people..hence my cynicism!

    And yet composite charts seem to work, if you know how to interpret them, seeing the individual first, then seeing how they relate to other, and then finally, the composite. In timing, the composite shows real impacts.

    This is so timely! I just did a dual birthchart reading for some friends of mine who are cohabitating partners. It's so valuable for each member of the partnership to hear about the other person's chart from their perspective. Then it becomes a deepening of an ongoing discussion rather than one person sort of objectifying the other as if they don't also come with their whole life and birth chart and experiences, etc. I notice synastry points between 2 birth charts as well and also don't see the value of the composite chart. So glad to have my feelings on this justified by someone with much more experience than me. Thank you!

    I agree with looking at each chart separately. What I found very puzzling was, that when I tried put name Asteroids into Synastry of long term happy couples I know, it was always the female name exactly conjuncting male Venus. / in some where I could also find maiden name of a woman, it as well shows as conjunction to male Venus/.

    Can't any chart be compared to another? Natal v Progressed? Natal v Current? Natal v National? Natal v Astrocartographic?
    If you have your Natal and then compare it to 5 years later, which would be current at that time, why wouldn't that be valid. Why then is someone born that day, that you happen to meet 20, 30, 40 years later, not valid?
    I agree don't get carried away but l can't help think why is it not valid?

    • @Polaris333
      @Polaris333 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed. We overlay transits on a natal chart and extract a description of what we may experience; why wouldn’t it be valid to do it with another natal chart? Looking at dynasty Doesn’t mean I’m making life decisions based on comparing two charts, it just adds a layer of understanding.

    I have to agree about composite charts. It also assumes you can just "average out" time and space. A birth time and place is a sacred event. Composite charts seem to sterilize/neutralize any real chemistry. Plus you dont see red flags as well. I married someone with a chart that was basically one huge neptune square natally but in composite it seemed like a grounded, honest relationship. Very inaccurate.

  • @heathermcvey9660
    @heathermcvey9660 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Disagree on this one.
    I use the separate natals, synastry, composite, and the first meeting chart at least.
    It sounds a lot like you're dismissing highly insightful techniques. You've managed to class a large group of people as using astrology in a less superior way.
    Synastry is profound, just take a look at family biwheels.
    Many of the best psychological astrologers use synastry and demonstrate the immense value in their books, it is also common for professional psychological astrologers to look at their synastry with a client before their meeting to understand where triggers may be and if the client may benefit from a different astrologer. John Green from MISPA talks about this on The Astrology Podcast for example.
    Liz Greene talks about synastry often in her books on client work, especially in family dynamics.
    That being said, I'm still a big fan of you and your valuable and often brilliant astrological insights. Just not this one. 😄.

    Y’all are talking about it from ONE perspective , not everyone uses Synastry or composite in the way that you guys are discribing it. Other people effect you just like transits do. And yes you should consider the relationship without reading too much into Synastry or comp but thats astrology in general you should consider yourself more than whats on your natal. Not everyone is that delusional or obsessed. And its not gimmicky because some people use it that way, its there to help you understand how certain energies interact with eachother. And ever heard about compatibility? Yes some people just like to know just that, if they’re compatible or not...

But what if you used these in an existing long term relationship facing significant life changes like career or a move (choosing location) or facing a choice of 2 decisions; timing of starting a family. Because my perspective got CRAZY, huge, quantified, filter unbattened, no chill, no off, but i don't have any person that i can talk to about it, no partner, i do have invisible friends which is weird but it's the only interaction I have, no clarity on anything, and i can only manifest 3/4 of anything and never a final result. Someone's destroying my existence and receiving the benefit and im transmuting a ton of other people's stuff. I have no money or any way to get clarity, only gaslighting.
