Adam I saw my office building as you were landing. (like on the runway) I work within walking distance of DCA in VA. Every day I'm on I walk on this path where the planes fly right over me. It's SO COOL!

Over the years as an aircraft mechanic, I was tasked to go down the list and refurbished and or do some sort of maintenance on every single 737 they had in the fleet throughout the country that was scheduled for regular maintenance by my crew. So I probably worked on that plane unless it's a fairly new one added to the fleet since I did that.
I have notes to myself on cities(ballparks) I want to visit. There's a hotel overlooking the field , I think. Were you guys driving northbound to Philly out of DC?

I once had to pass through DC to visit family in South Carolina. I will always say that DC/Virginia traffic is the WORST! There was like a grid lock stop every two minutes.
That is normal traffic for these parts. Lots of commuters and lots of cars on the roads. Too bad you got stuck in it. But, you got the authentic taste of the DMV.

Buddy, you MUST learn something about the iconic cherry blossom history( hint-Japan) and visit the Tidal Basin! People plan their DC visits around the blooming of the cherry trees!The story of the cherry trees is iconic! No wonder the Japanese Ambassador is there during the blooming!
