Real-time U.S. EAS Nuclear Attack

  • This is a realistic mock scenario for a nuclear attack on the United States. This is possibly what you would see and hear on television if the United States is subjected to full-scale nuclear attack.
    ⚠️ Please note that this is a fictional scenario, and any resemblance to real-world events or situations is coincidental. The actual content and delivery of emergency alerts may vary based on the circumstances and official protocols in place at the time.

    • @PBMS123
      @PBMS123 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      @@42seven exactly, that is why this is not realistic. This is how a Soviet missile alert tech stopped WW3. Russia wouldn't launch 12 missiles. They have 6000+ warheads, 350+ missiles. They would launch at least half of them in an initial strike. It would be 200 missile launches with 1-8 warheads per missile.
      There wouldn't be this much detail either. Not to mention because the Russians have MIRVs like the US does, and HGVs, you won't be able to determine which cities will be hit.
      Those are also not the likely strike zones either. Counter-force targets for an initial strike and Russia has already told the world their retaliation protocol is counter-value, i.e. civillian targets, air and ground det for mass lethality, and mass nuclear fallout.

Also, companies that have contracts with the military, like Ratheon, my dad was a circuit designer for night vision, are in Dallas. Also, Garlnd makes munitions, and I found that out when my 10th grade English teacher told us about a student exchange she had in Moscow during college. She saw a big US Map with targets on them from the Cold War. Garland was apparently a bigger target than Dallas back then for munitions making. So fun little fact about EAS systems + if someone tries to 'prank' you with this-
    There's often times short beeps after the long beeps, or something like a sporadic/quick beeping. This is almost always found in any EAS alert because it's ensuring that the message is being transmitted and translated properly.

We were home to not one, not two, but THREE nuclear reactors (Cook Nuclear Power (2 reactors) and Palisades, all of which are functioning today, but discussions to decommission are underway). In the late 70's they installed the air sirens after Three Mile Island to warn of meltdown (and nuclear war). They tested the sirens once a month, and given the Cold War, even though they announced the monthly tests, they were still creepy.

    It's interesting that people tend to think large population areas would be ideal targets for nuclear strikes. This would only be the case in the event that a suicidal terrorist organization got their hands on some nukes. If Russia attacked us and actually had any goal of winning, they wouldn't go for our cities. Their goal in attacking America would be to prevent a counter attack, not kill as many people as possible. That makes the air force bases the most valuable targets, particularly those housing nuclear missiles and bombers, which for the most part are far from populated areas. The top three cities most likely to face a threat from nearby nukes would be Cheyenne, WY, Great Falls, MT, and Minot, ND. They probably wouldn't be big nukes; the goal of a first strike would be to take out the bases, not civilian populations. Cheyenne would probably be in the most danger, with the proximity of Warren AFB. The next targets would be the naval bases in Seattle and the GA/FL border, Whiteman AFB east of Kansas City, and Barksdale AFB in northwestern Louisiana. As far as major cities, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Omaha, DC, and Honolulu would probably face the greatest danger. But again, the targets would be the nearby bases, not downtown.
    Russia would need to hit all these targets pretty much simultaneously, without missing any or losing any missiles, to do serious damage to America's nuclear capabilities. But even if they managed to pull it off (and that's highly unlikely), it wouldn't be enough. America's silent subs would have nukes in the air within 10 minutes, and they would be going for the most valuable targets they could possibly hit to prevent further escalation. Russia would not survive a nuclear war against America. The number of nukes isn't the only thing that matters.
    The one thing that worries me is Putin's mental stability. If that man is suicidal, he may be willing to take the world along with him, if backed into a corner with no way out. In that case, who knows what would happen.

    • @Engelbird
      @Engelbird 2 ปีที่แล้ว +84

      I don't believe he's suicidal, only because he's known to be terrified of covid. Hence the "long table". He's become increasingly isolated. The thing to worry about is if he has a "dead hand" scenario planned.

    • @lesalbro8880
      @lesalbro8880 2 ปีที่แล้ว +45

      Agreed. The response to an attack of this nature would be a full scale retaliatory strike by the US. Therefore there would be no point in Russia engaging in a relatively small scale first strike against US civilian targets. If they engaged in a very limited first strike like this it would be to do as you suggested. Otherwise they might as well go full scale suicidal, because the response to that, and what is portrayed in this video would be the same.

Food production stops. Water sanitation will fail to stop the fallout from entering drinking water. Gas will be unavailable for cars. Good Scenario!
    Here are some things I noticed:
    You used Nuance Tom! Better that SitePal Tom if you ask me. (BTW Nuance Tom is on Weather Radio Canada.)
    The top white text that says “EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM” usually says “NATIONAL ALERT” for Emergency Action Notifications and Terminations, According to the 2011 National EAS Test.
    The “United States Government” would technically issue a National Alert. But according to the 2011 National EAS Test, that text usually says, “Primary Entry Point System”. I might let this slide though.
    The “Issued a” text would also say “an” for correct vocabulary and grammar. Some EAS Creators forget about that, so I’ll let this slide.
    I liked that you used different/custom screens for creative purposes!
    That map was cool too!
    I live in a 600-mile radius of Phoenix and Dallas, so I’ll be totally safe!
    W I R E L E S S A L E R T YAY!
    6:00 GOD DANG IT!
    9:00 Interesting… This screen Makes sense. The Emergency Action Termination text makes only a little bit of sense here. Wouldn’t the EAS not work anymore? Or did some people managed to get their Sage Digital Endec in a Fallout Shelter?
    9:05 I noticed that you added the “Primary Entry Point System” Text later on.
    According to the FCC, if there is nothing that needs to be transmitted right this second after the tones, The Tom Voice would say, “This is an Emergency Action Notification. All broadcast stations and cable systems shall transmit this Emergency Action Notification Message. This station has interrupted its regular programming at the request of the White House to participate in the Emergency Alert System.
    During this emergency, most stations will remain on the air providing news and information to the public in assigned areas. This is (station call name). We will continue to serve the (EAS Local Area name) area. If you are not in this Local Area, you should tune to stations providing news and information for your Local Area. You are listening to the Emergency Alert System serving the (EAS Local Area name) area.
    Do not use your telephone. The telephone lines should be kept open for emergency use.”

    When I served in the Air Force, I was assigned to a small little town out in the middle of nowhere North Dakota. Didn't know at the time I was going to go guard nuclear missiles. This was the stuff you only hear or see in movies or video games. We always talked about how it would go down and what we'd do since if they sent missiles then we sure as hell would be too as a knee jerk reaction. We had enough MREs to last probably 3 months out there and plenty of snow to get fresh water. It was unclear that if they were sent out that we'd stay there because we did our job or that we'd go overseas to fight whoever sent them.
    In all likelihood you probably wouldn't know it was going to hit you until it was too late even with it being broadcasted on every frequency.
    All I know is that our world and way of being would be completely turned upside down and you be back to square 1 without social media for at least 1 month if not 3.
    100% certain that we'd print money to help stabilize things for 2 years but that will also be the demise of our economy.

    Growing up when America had an actual Civil Defense department I have to say I doubt greatly that a impact countdown would take place. It would most likely tell everyone to seek shelter. So, let me ask everyone out there… Do you have a fallout shelter in your area? Do they even exist anymore? How about a sign showing where the fallout shelter is? There used to be signs designating shelters and shelters were equipped with food and geiger counters. I think the US is lacking in any preparedness in regards to the nuclear threat. Unless you do it on your own, you’re pretty much screwed. So if an alert of this nature takes place, go to the lowest place in your home, away from windows, centralized, pop a beer, whatever and hang on. If you haven’t prepared by now, its a bit late.

    This would be a sick way to ramp up tension in a finale of a superhero show. Having the camera pan to different families watching the warning on-screen with no music except the beeps in the background. and then finally it pans to the hero, who's waiting (probably at the top of a building or in the streets) and watching a portal open in the sky, all while the automated voice talks about the threat coming. Or it would make a good pilot scene for an apocalypse/zombie story.

    My kids played this warning message over our surround sound inturupting a movie my wife was watching and she absolutely freaked out beyond anyone's most wild imagination and completely losed it . She started running around the house yelling to my kids that we were under attack and we had at the most 15 mins to find a underground bomb shelter somewhere in the neighborhood and to grab a warm set of clothes at to get downstairs immediately then started screaming at me to hurry up and find any important documents while she got the dog on the Leash . Then she proceeded to run out side to warn all the neighbors if they had heard what was going on and the get in their cars and get out of the area right away we were under attack missiles had already been launched just freaking out . And luckily a buddy of mine had played the warning message to me about a week earlier so I knew already that it was not real .. at this point I knew it was my kids who had played it and we're trying to prank us . And let me tell you they sure we're . At least my wife that is I already knew. So I figured I'd just let the entire thing play out for a few mins . And that few mins I never should of . Because again my wife went from completely calm watching her movie totally in her own world to freaking the eff out I'm about 1.2; secs.and was not very easy to get her to calm down for even a sec or two and explain that it was all just a prank that our kids had played on us and that we all good n safe there were no nukes already flying in the air towards us. I must of told her a good 10 or 15 time that it was a prank before she finally realized what was happening. . Wow was that the most incredible most messed up to prank certain people with like my wife being one of those people because she was really concerned about the family and pet trying to get us all to safety and I love her that much more for that. But after that she was absolutely furious and not a happy camper. She put my kids on restriction for a month. Lol no comp. No phones .no I pads no nothing . . Please if you actually have read out entire experience that I have written on here . Take in to consideration before pranking certain people and what their reaction might be before doing so . This literally could kill somebody with a bad heart or something. . Although I still this it was hilarious and still laugh about it everyday ((laugh inside myself quietly)) that is . My wife if damaged from it and is still pissed . Thanks for reading .. have a great day . 🤘😎🤘💯

The kids are the ones who mastermind it and the timing could not of been more perfect. But then again she mad at me because I didn't stop it sooner than I did but instead decided to let it play out .. it really has affected her . If I would of known I would never of let it play out . This is a good one. I love having an actual video of our current Sec of Def and then going to the alert. A few comments. The person talking after CNN goes off says "Play close attention". I agree with others there would be more missiles fired. I would not go with 1000, but you could say 200 and have them hit our bases and silos before our cities. Also you cannot know they are nuclear, you can say ballistic missiles possibly nuclear. Also you could say you don't know where they are targeted until they start to descend. I am not sure we can tell where a missile is going on the way up. It must hits its apogee and start descending at a certain angle. That is at least my opinion. I like the shooting down portion. Another item is each missile can have multiple weapons in them, along with some fakes to confuse our missile defense. Thus 200 rockets fired could be 1000 warheads. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. It may be the best I have heard!!

      I recall reading that the Soviet Union in the 80's had multiple (well over 10) missiles (SS-18) each equipped with either 1 - 20MT warhead, 4 - 5MT warheads or 20 - 1MT's: all targeting the Denver area, as it hosts the second largest/most numerous critical US government complexes after DC.

    I doubt we would get that much intel. Also, most modern ICBMs are MERV, meaning each missile has 3-5 (sometimes more) independently targetable warheads. A single missile is likely to target several locations within a region, with overlap. That means a given target could easily have more than one detonation.

      Not to mention Russia made a new Hypersonic ICBM that can reach the UK in 5 minutes and reach the American Continent in 8 minutes meaning that NORAD will NOT BE ABLE to intercept a Hypersonic ICBM

    • @annalorree
      @annalorree ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@danielpetrucci8952 all ICBMs are hypersonic, that just means they exceed Mach 5. The achievement Russia has attained is a hypersonic glide re-entry vehicle for their warheads that give them some ability at evasion during the re-entry phase after release from the MIRV. Aside from that, yes Russia has had a hypersonic cruise missile since the 1980s. The US researched the tech back in the 1970s, but abandoned it as not beneficial. Just as we dropped the B1 (super fast and low altitude) as a nuclear bomber in favour of the B52 and the B2 (and now the B21) which are all slower, and more manoeuvrable, we opted for slower than hypersonic cruise missiles. Russia decided speed was better than manoeuvrable.
