This is a DIY pond in country living/countryside life, a start-to-finish natural and wildlife pond building/sealing with bentonite clay transformation video, no liner required. We share our complete process using 3 tons of bentonite clay with just our hands and brooms to seal our 20-year-old natural and wildlife DIY pond in our country living here, showing before and after. Bentonite clay is the DIY secret to building a natural pond without a liner. Early this year, we successfully sealed two other ponds and decided to replicate the success in this big natural pond.

With the success of sealing 3 ponds and loving how natural they look, we would definitely use bentonite clay to seal again if we ever dig another pond. It is easy to work with and great for fixing leaky ponds, a must-use material in building a natural pond without liner. Hope this start to finish vlog will give homeowners, homesteaders, and country living enthusiasts ideas to build natural ponds on their and or backyards.

i recommend spreading the clay from the bottom first ans work your way up to prevent the clay chips from slipping all the way down the slope.

That’s a lot of work! The engineering mind in me would wonder whether it’s possible to sling the bentonite.. but I guess what’s the fun in that.. how did you calculate how many bags you need?

So far, so good. The pond is full and overflowing now. It's May already. The water level was never this high.
