Your restorations are awesome! I remember you were the first channel I found that did them back when I was in middle school. After watching your content, my interest in this field only grew more
Ah, very smart! And it was exactly this kind of thought process that made me make this video. In many restorations I've replaced handles or blades, so I've thought it would be a nice joke to replace an object completely, part by part, as I restore it. Now I know the name for it. Cheers!
Great work, mate. Looks very nice. I just love how the video was so tongue in cheek about the restoration and replacement, that the joke ended up flying over people's head. Absolute gold level of comedy. Smelly-vision? Of sawn antlers? No, mate. Thanks. Cheers.
Just beautiful. I was thinking the stink of that antler must be fierce when the "smelly-vision" caption popped up! Thanks mate, that was an inspiration.
So actually a replica rather than a restoration, liked it. Glad the other was put back together too, it is beautiful as is. I have no idea what shaved antler smells like.
That's neither a transformation nor a restoration, it's making a replica. When I have a pocket knife and I replace the blade and the handle, what remains original?
wow that fake rust is really effective i agree with other people down here though that this is more of a recreation than a restoration. your work is still great!
There was absolutely NOTHING restored in this video. All he did, which was really nice, is simply make a new knife based on the looks of the previous ruined knife. Great work, dude, but this is NO restoration at all.
I'm not happy with this, this isn't a restoration. you MADE a knife rather then restoring the knife just like how you RE MADE that cleaver into a knife.
Waste of time.
Just like writing your comment 😒
Your poor time management skills are not our problem.
@@eubie67 That was gentlemanly brutal. Well done.
Then don't watch it, @aleyanoorani! Simple as that!
No it wasn't. You product an excellent reproduction that any knifesmith would be proud of.
Very cool. Not so much a restoration as a recreation, but neat.
Very nice work, and a great showcase for the little anvil. Thanks and cheers!
Thank you very much!

That is awesome!
Theseus' Medieval Pocketknife
I came to the comments just to say this
I must be getting old, cause I don't get that reference...
@@TheSmallWorkshop It's referring to the Ship of Theseus Paradox.

Belle restauration et bonne idée pour le bois de chevreuil, bravo.
Very cool! Love the use of the antler, my kids and I love your channel ❤
Thanks! Hi kids!
Great work, mate. Looks very nice.

Smelly-vision? Of sawn antlers? No, mate. Thanks.

Cheers mate! Glad to see some people got it.
i L.O.V.E the restoration videos!
🤣🤣🤣 That opening was 💯! So well done! Yet another gorgeous restoration from the master. I love this channel so much. Keep up the great work, sir! 👍🏼
Thank you so much!
Just beautiful. I was thinking the stink of that antler must be fierce when the "smelly-vision" caption popped up! Thanks mate, that was an inspiration.
Thank you!
I like it very much regardless of how much of a restoration is or a new build.. 👍
Multumesc Andrei!
Love it. Love the idea for drilling through the handle utalising the square washer.
Thank you for another video!
Thanks for watching another video! :)
Dope AF results, @TheSmallWorkshop!
Jokes aside i have that opinel knife and it is awesome. it takes an edge so well.
Very nice work 👍👍
A great Triggers broom resto.
That was FANTASTIC!
I really enjoy watching your videos!
Thank you for the video!
🗡️⚡️🌊🔥🗿👊😎🗿🔥🌊⚡️🗡️
Thank you!
It looks great and you did a wonderful job restoring it as well!!!!
I enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thank you very much!
Nice recreation excellent work, only thing I can say is you gotta invest in a dremel tool watching you file those pins was like watching grass grow
So actually a replica rather than a restoration, liked it. Glad the other was put back together too, it is beautiful as is. I have no idea what shaved antler smells like.
Like burnt hair
@@TheSmallWorkshop oh!
After working 47 years at the city waste water treatment, I would think of it as air freshener !
Great work. Do you sell your creations?
No, I usually keep them or gift them to friends and family.
Excellent!👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
what in the fuck. HOW did that blade go through sawblade so easily? HOW
The metal in a carbide tipped sawblade is VEEEERY low quality. The blade will never hold up.
Bravo ❤
whats the brand of the metal cutting blade?
Pilana, an european brand, very good.
Beautiful work, dude! It looks fantastic! 😃
Did you heat treated the new blade?
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Yes I did, thanks!
Damn! Now who the hell makes that hack-saw blade!?!?! I need a few of those in my tool box.
Muito bom. Porém fez uma peça nova com base na antiga. Ficou ótimo. Parabéns 👍🏻🇧🇷. Porém..... NÃO foi uma restauração.
More like a Ship of Theseus rather than a Restoration.
This knive looks cool but won't work to actually cut something. There is no stopper for the blade so you can't put any pressure.
So, it's not a restoration but a replacement :D you've made a new knife actually
that fake rust really did a number on that opinel knife.
Restaurado canivete 🔪😉
how is this a restoration if literally every part is new
Jesus, what a bunch of precious flowers in this comment section protecting the sanctity of the word 'restoration'. Y'all are pathetic...
That's neither a transformation nor a restoration, it's making a replica. When I have a pocket knife and I replace the blade and the handle, what remains original?
It is a reconstruction, not a restoration.
wow that fake rust is really effective
i agree with other people down here though that this is more of a recreation than a restoration. your work is still great!
But like triggers broom off fools and horses then 🤣
There was absolutely NOTHING restored in this video. All he did, which was really nice, is simply make a new knife based on the looks of the previous ruined knife. Great work, dude, but this is NO restoration at all.
Agree, also the final result doesn’t look like if the original was cleaned. It’s just a different knife.
Seriously people. The whole knife of Theseus play was genius. He shouldn't have to explain the joke.
People not getting the joke, then going in the comments to draw attention to their inability to understand the joke.
Not a restoration
what is the type of brush you use to make the mirror finish ?
It's called "non woven wheel" or "non woven nylon wheel". It's just like the back of the dish sponge.
So I can replicate this effect with the back of my sponge ?
It needs speed to work, if your hand is fast enough... :D
This steel makes a knife like a bullet made from shit.
definitely not medieval, more like dated from the 1700's
Реставрировать нож которому сотни лет и делать новое лезвие??!!! Там каждый кусочек нужно было сохранить! Вы, батенька - варвар!
I'm not happy with this, this isn't a restoration. you MADE a knife rather then restoring the knife just like how you RE MADE that cleaver into a knife.
Yup, sadly that's my style... repurposing, reshaping, reusing... sorry!
Who the F are you to be so butthurt over this? Are you paying for this content? Unsubscribe then, doubt if he'll care...
