Geoff can do anything. He is absolutely my favorite singer, although all of the other members of Voiceplay are a close second.

Such a delight and brings back so many hours of Jim Croce's albums from over 50 yrs ago.

Actually - you got it backwards. Both songs were written by Jim Croce, and he released this one in early 1972, and Bad Bad Leroy Brown came out afterwards in 1973 (the same year Croce died in a plane crash. Both charted, but all of his work got a huge bounce after his death, and I don't remember how that played out in the charts.

huh, I always thought that leroy brown came first lol. well I never thought to look it up but both songs are great either way.

@@griffinsreactioncorner As I recall, he became bigger after he died, and both songs happened pretty close to the end. So - quite possible that a lot of people were intro'd to them in reverse order. Still happens today. After a song breaks it always brings new ears, who might hear the next ones without ever knowing the earlier work. I don't mean to imply his death was sensationalized and caused his popularity, it was just incredibly unfortunate timing. He was gifted. We lost a lot from his early death.

Since you asked about "Lean On Me" by a bass, Avi Kaplan covered it a few years ago.

Was just going to suggest the same. Avi does such a great cover.
