      There are a few things for solving blushing naturally
      1) Stop doing it by relaxing your body. When you blush, you can quickly help fade the redness by relaxing your muscles, particularly in your neck and shoulders
      2) Don't focus on blushing. Many people fixate on their blushing when it happens, worsening their social anxiety.
      3) Consider calling attention to it. If a person's on a date and they do something incredibly awkward, one way that they'll save the situation is by calling attention to it: Wow Bradley that was clumsy!
      4) Try rehearsing thought exercises. In order to help you feel both cooler as in physically colder, but also street-wise and to distract you from the blushing itself, try several thought exercises. E.g. having a fan near you
      (I discovered these and why they work on Zavrina blush treater website )

    Good tip. I'm in my 60s and still learning so this is good to know. Things I learned (sometimes a bit too late) is never pull your eyelids or under the eyes to apply eye makeup or during cleansing. It stretches the skin. Never wear a heavy moisturiser during the day - the weight of the moisturiser stretches your skin downwards (got that tip from the singer Lulu - she said it in an interview on TV). Heavier moisturises are better at night. Using a silk pillowcase is kinder to your skin as cotton extracts moisture during sleep. Lying on your back to sleep, is kinder to your face than facing downwards (easier said than done). And I am open to all new tips. So do share. :)

I think I'll try your ideas as any of mine spells disaster I expect. lol. I'm going to try this idea for blush and see what kind of a mess I can make. :) thanks for the help goss.

      when you’re applying skincare pat it into the skin instead of rubbing - and while cleansing use your middle and ring finger and use those fingers to wash your face instead of your palms because its more gentle

    Oh my goodness! Thank you! I've been doing this all of my "blushed life"! ....putting my blush higher on the cheek bone that is....I have an oval to longer face and I have always thought that blush on the apples just dragged the face down. However, I always thought I was doing it wrong! Thanks for validating my technique! 😉

    I've been doing this technique since I was in my 20s and I think it's always looked a bit more natural. I didn't need to apply blush to the apples of my cheeks since they were already rosy, plus that location makes it look a bit clown-like in my opinion. Applying to the cheekbone, also helped to give a contoured look without the use of bronzer and helped to lift the smile and your eyes.

    THIS!! I have been doing my blush how you had said ever since I started wearing makeup. No one ever taught me I just kind of did what I thought looked right. I've been watching alot of makeup videos lately and most of them tell you to apply to the apple. I always thought it was weird and didn't like it. This way just makes so much more sense. Young or older, it doesn't matter.

    oh so the cheek bone is only for those older. if your younger you dont have to worry about the whole droopy cheek look after applying blusher? then i'm fine. i've seen people apply blusher on their cheek bone but it look so unnatural as opposed to applying on your apples, because if you think of it when your angry, feeling hot or tired after running then when the blood circulates it rushes to your cheeks, and that's where you see the flush of colour; not on your cheek bone. so with most people they end up looking like clowns and completely unnatural with a blushed cheek bone!

    • @shantelkarisma
      @shantelkarisma 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree, I have huge cheeks and only my cheeks flush when i'm cold or angry so the cheekbone would just look a little unnatural to me . I understand though, why it would be good for older women tho.

  • @85Selk

  • @BerryTrekkin
    @BerryTrekkin 10 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    This really does make sense and will probably be good for when I'm older. But for now, I just love my blusher on the apples of my cheeks and I smile whilst applying it - maybe it does look bad, who knows, but I just love doing it that way. It's so much fun :P I'm naughty with blusher in general. I'm told what colour suits me, and then completely ignore it and go for nice baby pinks anyway. We should all stick to what we love, even if others may not agree :)

    Great advice as usual! Thanks so much! You always make me feel good! I have "you time" every night as I wait for my sleeping meds to take effect! My husband always asks if I'm writing my boyfriend! I always say yes and we both chuckle! I think that's a sign of a great relationship! We are going on 10 years now!

    Thank you for this video! I am in my mid twenties and for some reason have this same problem and haven't been able to figure out. Can't wait to try this new way to apply blush.

    Thank you. Blush is the one thing I have always struggled with. I couldn't find a color on my own, and have always felt unsure using it. I mostly don't, and when I do VERY sparingly. This video is super helpful. At age 42 and I might finally do it right.

    Thank you! I've always applied my blush on my cheek bones and had numerous people tell me that it's wrong (too high!) - but I love it "up there", and much just for the reason you tell: To give myself a lift!

    This is how I apply blush too! I always felt blush was the single most unflattering thing that ANYONE could put on their faces (yes, to me no one was immune to the hideousness of colour on the apples of one's cheeks, not even barbie dolls) until I saw a background character on a TV show (or an ad?) and noticed how shockingly flattering it was. This older lady had the colour more to the sides of her face and upwards on her cheekbones. I ran and purchased my first blush the next day!
