    I am currently teaching on the whole book of Genesis. Planning to teach Genesis 22 in two days (Sunday). Even though I just realized that you have your contents on TH-cam, I have always enjoyed reading your commentary on Blue Letter Bible App. I would like to thank you for being a blessing to me and many others. God bless!

    I'm reading the Bible for the first time. I don't understand a lot. Now that I found you to guide me through these stories, I feel so informed. I may start looking for a church. ❤

    Abraham's faith is a such a great example. "Abraham knew that anything was possible but it was impossible that God would break his promise", so good.

    I know this is about Abraham’s extraordinary faith, but Isaac had some pretty good faith going on there too. Faith in his Heavenly Father and his earthly father.

    Thank you Pastor Guzik. Loving this Genesis Series. Do you have any comments on the fact that we see both Abraham AND Isaac go up Mount Moriah in verse 5, BUT ONLY Abraham is mentioned as coming down Mount Moriah in verse 19? It's almost as if Isaac "disappeared".... Then we only see Isaac mentioned again in chapter 24 verse 14.... when he comes for his bride, Rebekah, who was selected from the Gentiles in Ur.... Interesting.... Another parallel with Christ - coming back for his bride??

    Sorry I'm confused, correct me I think I misunderstood .. but isn't the Temple Mount, where Abraham was to offer Isaac? ... if so, how can it be where Jesus was crucified, seeing the Temple was over the rock? ... and Jesus had to die outside the city 🤷‍♀

    Can I ask?name of the mother of Moses

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question -
      Moses’ mother, Jochebed, was a Hebrew woman living in slavery in Egypt before the exodus. She was the daughter of a Levite, and she married Amram, another Levite (Exodus 2:1). According to Exodus 6:20, Jochebed married her nephew; thus, she was Amram’s aunt as well as his wife. We know that Moses was born several years after their marriage because she already had a daughter who was old enough at the time of Moses’ infancy to act as a lookout (Exodus 2:4). This was likely Moses’ sister, Miriam the prophetess, who is mentioned by name in Exodus 15:20. Along with Moses and Miriam, Jochebed had at least one other child, Moses’ brother Aaron (Exodus 6:20).
