14 days into owning the Jeep Meridian MT 4x2 Limited Option. Here are the observations:
1. Great Suspension. Glides over breakers. In a city like Bangalore is a blessing
2. So easy to handle and manouver. I am a Volks Polo owner as well and this huge car manouvers as easily as sedan/hatch. No problems at all driving in a congested city such as Bangalore.
3. No body roll for such a huge SUV.
4. Amazing safety features
5. The interiors look so plush. Every time i step into the car i get that wow factor.
6. The music system is A class.
7. The surround camera resolution and quality is top notch. Parking is so easy for such a big SUV.
8. Turning radius is good.
9. People often check out the car while it is on the road. The exterior looks and road presence is stunning.
10. Mileage is something i am keeping an eye. Currently it shows 7.5 but i have driven mostly in the super congested traffic at peak hours. This is improving and should dramatically improve when i take it on the highways and post first service.
11. Third row surely will be a bit cramped for a full grown adult but is perfect for small people and kids.
12. Braking even at high speeds is great.
13. AC is very good!
14. I am in love with the auto features such as auto wipers, lights, etc.
15. The gear box could have a bit more sturdy but it is Ok. I am used to the Volkswagen solidness and sturdiness.
16. Finally the whole experience from PPS Jeep in Bangalore from test drive to delivery to post sales is simply wow! Congratulations to the team there.
At this price point of 35-40 lacs looks like it is a great value for money car. I will keep updating over time.

Which is the best off reading seven seater or 5 seater car which you would say is value for money.
Being a owner of fortuner nd crystal,Toyota has charged way more for their QDR. For 45 lacs all I got is all hard plastic black retro type dashboard nd ambience in fortuner.
Those holes in your off-road driving section are man-made which ensures that your car's underbody shouldn’t be scratched or stucked while driving. But in real life off-road conditions the picture is different.

Jeep merdian s ground clearance is 201 mm where as fortuner s ground clearance is 225 mm secondly merdian houses the same 170 hp where as fortuner houses a 201 hp with 420nm torque

This car could be a great alternative to Kodiaq diesel which is discontinued now. People only looking at the power ratings are missing the point.

This should've been 200BHP with 450 NM+. looks to me like this may not stand along Fortuner and Gloster. Perhaps the build quality and ride quality is the only edge this has. very interesting to see how it performs in our market. BTW, good review...

Jeep meridian is luxury seven seater 4x4 with good fuel mileage 2ltr Diesel engine and it will be good handling and less body roll bcz height is bit low

Overall the suv is a beast but engine specs are not what we expected
and also very low to compete with fortuner.
Powerdelivery and use of power matter most.... And power delivery of fortuner is not good

There is no reson behind buying 170hp 5+2 overweight compass which will cost around 45 lakhs. I thought it would come with 200hp and my perception was totally different. I mean jeep has worked hard in differentiating in its looks.
Well, I guess they have tuned the engine a little bit (hopefully)
but anyday,changing the engine could be the best move 🤔

When that moment we realise a 28 lac Xuv has 185 and 200 hp
For 45 lakh this is not worth it. XUV700 has more power in less price
better go for C5 aircross

My choice in this price would be Kodiaq or Tiguan over Meridian anyday With better quality and German brand value and more powerful engine gearbox combination with proper polished features......
Jeep is at par with quality of Kodiaq. Though some parts are after better finished in German cars.
The main reason people will go for this is diesel engine.
