I am a sansei (third generation, Japanese-American), from Los Angeles (Rousu). My late father spent his childhood in Shiga. I have visited it a few times. I have family in Otsu. They operate an inn, "Mameshin." It is located near the eki, train station. I hope to visit Shiga again.
Does it snow in Otsu urban area during winter?
I'm in Michigan and would love to move there. It's so cold here! I'm tired of snow 😆

I’m actually going to take a 2-day trip to the Kansai area this weekend. On Day 1, I will visit Nijo Castle and Kiyomizu dera. On Day 2, I will visit Mangetsuji Ukimido and Hikone Castle. ❤
