Greeks lived in Egypt, Palestine Lebanon and historically they’ve been a huge community in Egypt, so yes it’s quite relatable.

Our cultures are very similar, us eastern Arabs and Turks
Most of these in anatolian Greek too especially pontic dance
Much of these movements are taken from the Turks when they ruled over the middle-east in the Ottoman empire. Well, not taken but rather gifted by way of the Khazouk...
Turk taken a lot from arabs like religion culture, architecture , and of course these kind of dance i mean even the Turkish language taken a lot from Arabic about 30% or 40%
