Greetings from Italy. It's always interesting to see pictures of Australia and reminisce. The price of coffee has certainly gone up since we left but the train from Syndey to Gosford still takes an hour and a half! Autumn on Lake Como is our favourite time of the year. The forests are turning golden, the tourists have all left allowing the locals to take back their villages and the lake to rest again. Life returns to normal until next year. Despite all the traditions and reputation we've found that coffee can be a bit hit and miss. We have our favourite places. If you're ever in the Sudtriol then we reckon Torrefazione Kuntrawant makes Italia's best! Of course you can't beat a home made stove top coffee. We are fortunate to be able to access organic raw A2 milk from grass fed cattle which graze in the Alps. And we have our favourite roasters from which we buy our coffee. It's a perfect Autumn day for one right now (with a touch of Grapa) ! bw Maria e Rowan
Ciao Maria and Rowan! So lovely to hear from you and such lovely images of autumn life in your beautiful part of Italy! 🇮🇹 Yes prices here are crazy in comparison for everything and yes the trains are the same but the stations are much better than they were. I still prefer the Freccia Rossa any day! ♥️ Australia does have a huge coffee culture so in general coffee is very good but just costs a lot. We tend to make our own at home! We are looking forward to seeing how our renovations now speed forward over coming weeks … this is when the fun really begins with finishing touches. We can’t wait! We are so grateful that you’re coming along for the ride. Sending big hugs your way and stay cosy! 🤗🌸🥰💖😘🫶🏼
