Yes you pronounce Montego Bay Airport right. You're a gentleman and a calm person and that is nice you're not a pushing person. Wishing you all the best take. Have a blessed night.
HELLO Pojo, I see you passed thru Hanover parish and the town of hopewell. That was my mother’s birthday place, in fact you hopewell is the location for American designer Ralph Lauren ‘s villa, Round Hill hotel where Martin Luther King wrong most of his books content and “I have a dream” speech. As well Round Hill American president wrote his famous “Ask what you” speech there as well. Ricks Cafe is where the Jamaican Bobsled team was conceptualized resulting in the movie “Cool Runnings”. 1960 - 1970’s Negril the playground of the American and World hippies. 1 noted hippie, was the grandson of Helman’s Mayonaise founder. He dropped some serious $ and started a tent complex, eventually freaking out on some serious DR..s (not wee.). Eventually was deported by request of his family’s foundation. Bit of modern history 4 u.
I was filming at Ricks Cafe when I was there in June, and they said Nah but no one said anything after I entered. 1 Thing to note, they are expensive, price-wise, which is understandable because it's free entry. Also, I get what you mean with the whole commercial vibe, there were so many Hotels at the entrance of Negril, didn't feel like Jamaica in the slightest, which might be some people's vibe however it wasn't mine, so I didn't stay for long, maybe I'll try again another time. Another great Vlog again Pojo!🤘
Ricks Cafe same as usual. Was very different years ago before the major transformation into commercialism. But nice to see everyone enjoying it. Negril 7-mile beach again not the usual clean and clear beach with the debris from the see weeds washed up against the shore by the storm. Guess it will take a while to get cleaned up. Enjoy and stay safe.
I appreciate your videos. It is helping me to prepare for my trip in December. I am not a cheap person, and no doubt will support locals, but I also don’t want to be taken advantage of. I will be staying at an Air BnB in Ochi, and already experiencing the shenanigans and haven’t even arrived in Jamaica yet. Contacted this tour company to arrange for private transportation from MOBAY, and asked for the price, and was given a quote.Purchased tickets already, and checked back with this same tour company that provides transportation and asked the process for pre arranging for airport transport.I was asked to send my airline info and told I did not have to pay for transport until a week before my trip, again asked price. I knew what I was told the first time, and all of a sudden the price went up $45 more from the previous quote. If this is what I will be experiencing once I arrive, price switching, this will make me keep my money in my pocket. I didn’t go for the price switch.
When you get here you will have to negotiate that’s culture here i never negotiated in Asia but here i do because you can easily drop a few hundreds a day
🇯🇲 I remember as small child, when Negril didn’t have any large hotels, there was just handful of small hotels owned by locals. We would go to the “north coast” after staying with family in Kingston & Mandeville. Stayed in everything from small bed n breakfast as well as large all-inclusive. I know both Negril Tree House & Charela Inn are black owned.
Pudding is made with grated sweet potato 🍠 the one with the white inside you call it Boniato I think. With coconut milk sugar and spices it’s gummy and delicious. I like it warm with ice cream.
