I strongly recommend reading both Grandmaster of Demonic cultivation and Heaven Official's Blessing novels, they are amazing and will help you understand the donghuas better since a lot of the things aren't explained in detail and you could be quite confused until you understand what's going on. And also - the HOB donghua is very far away from finished, so you might as well read it while you wait for the next season (hopefully there is one).
Wait till y'all discover Throne of Seal, Battle Through the Heavens, Renegade Immortal and Swallowed Star.... The 3D animation is on another level now....Not the CGI they use in bad japanese anime.

I know the title is underrated anime but for me, these are the best chinese animes: 1. Battle Through The Heavens 2. Swallowed Star 3. Doulou Dalu (Soul Land) Nothing can match these animes once you get past the awful animations AT FIRST. I found myself waiting for the next ep more than the recent jap animes I've been watching. These animes are on par with Bleach, One Piece, One Punch Man, Mob Psycho, etc with the animation. And, it's not just that! The story lines/plot are also very interesting! Imagine watching japanese anime but 50-100% more fight scenes!! These are a MUST WATCH. Can't stress that enough.
Yeah bruh its really cool .the one i got into first is scissors seven and it funny fun and its a gintama style of being dumb...but when it does action/drama its top notch
I also highly recommend Dragon Raja if you're looking for good donghua fight choreography. It's stunning - not just the visual effects but the audio effects too.
I just decided to give my first Chinese Anime a try. It is called All Saints Street. After into and outro the show is only about 4 minutes long, but that 4 minutes is so good.

Battle through the heavens and Throne of seal are amazing. They are CGI but it's amazing quality. The first season or 2 for Battle through the heavens is older so the quality isn't as good but the newer seasons especially the 5th one is excellent

If you're talking about Donghua, you can't said without mentioning about Perfect World, BTTH, Martial Universe S3, and Renegade Immortal. The animation in those series are off-the-charts.

Yes, there is romance in Heaven's Official Blessing between Xie Lian and Hua Chang, and there's romance also in Grandmaster of Demoniac Cultivation between Wei Wuxian and Lang Wangji, not explicit because of Chinese censorship but you'll have to be blind to not notice it. Also, if they ever decide to adapt the past arcs of HOB we're in for a world of pain and sufference for Xie Lian, the author went really hard on the poor guy

Don't watch hitori no shita. I have watched it, and the only good fight was the one shown in the video, idk why the animators decided to drop the best fight sequence of all time in a anime that is not much promising. Just watch the fight video, rest of the anime doesn't have such scenes. PS abosolutely watch King's Avatar, I always get goosebumps whenever mc shows why he is the king of the game.
I love how Chinese anime and storytelling doesn't shy away from creating well written badass gay characters. It is so refreshing and Japanese anime needs to take notes although this is a very controversial topic
in china it's illegal so they have to censor homosexuality and they make it bromance instead of romance.... which in a way kinda works even better, because it's like brotherly love which most guys even the straightest manly men can relate too brotherly love
@GrowingDownUnder I've seen multiple Chinese anime and I wouldn't call the undertones mild you can usually see what they are trying to hint about the characters feelings towards each other. Also usually in the source material those characters are couples which makes those undertones all the more apparent
@@JTAEKOOK4EVRR I've seen a lot of chinese anime too and example would be Mo dao zu shi, a lot of people call it boys love but there is no boy love in that anime lol. Even the undertones are very mild and at most they're just close friends... some people hated this but I preferred it like that because it wasn't romance just like caring for each other as close friends

Yes, there is romance in Heaven's Official Blessing between Xie Lian and Hua Chang, and there's romance also in Grandmaster of Demoniac Cultivation between Wei Wuxian and Lang Wangji, not explicit because of Chinese censorship but you'll have to be blind to not notice it. Also, if they ever decide to adapt the past arcs of HOB we're in for a world of pain and sufference for Xie Lian, the author went really hard on the poor guy

Don't watch hitori no shita. I have watched it, and the only good fight was the one shown in the video, idk why the animators decided to drop the best fight sequence of all time in a anime that is not much promising. Just watch the fight video, rest of the anime doesn't have such scenes. PS abosolutely watch King's Avatar, I always get goosebumps whenever mc shows why he is the king of the game.

I love how Chinese anime and storytelling doesn't shy away from creating well written badass gay characters. It is so refreshing and Japanese anime needs to take notes although this is a very controversial topic
in china it's illegal so they have to censor homosexuality and they make it bromance instead of romance.... which in a way kinda works even better, because it's like brotherly love which most guys even the straightest manly men can relate too brotherly love

@GrowingDownUnder I've seen multiple Chinese anime and I wouldn't call the undertones mild you can usually see what they are trying to hint about the characters feelings towards each other. Also usually in the source material those characters are couples which makes those undertones all the more apparent
@@JTAEKOOK4EVRR I've seen a lot of chinese anime too and example would be Mo dao zu shi, a lot of people call it boys love but there is no boy love in that anime lol. Even the undertones are very mild and at most they're just close friends... some people hated this but I preferred it like that because it wasn't romance just like caring for each other as close friends
