So I tried something different with this video! I tend to overthink, so I wanted to test my hair conspiracy. Again, this isn’t a fact, this is an experimental video. Before leaving your hate comment, watch until the end to hear what I learned from filming this video. The message of the video isn’t what you think until you watch it all the way through. I live in the same town as the twins and they’ve been on our local news and in local magazines so people do know them, just not older people. I will also say I had purple hair and I was judged quite a lot. Having piercings too. I even had a woman confront me and tell me I should hide my tattoos because it’s indecent for children’s eyes to see. It’s bad. Also I’m 100% sure Kenny and the camera confused people a lot and garnered a lot of attention. If she could somehow do a secret camera or Kenny filming from far away or something.

I am a mom, I go into “Mom stores”, I go to the mall and I go shopping. But I Also do not look at someone with different hair color and think “I don’t want my kids to do that to their hair” I am probably looking at you thinking “gosh I wish I was that cute and young again and could pull off that hair color”

I’m a young mom and I feel like A LOT of moms are sooooo judgmental and rude sometimes lol. I have a nose ring, bright red hair, and lots of tattoos and I get judged pretty much daily by other moms. Honestly, I feel like they were looking at Kenny and not at you.
Most people aren’t used to seeing a boy wearing makeup, especially in a conservative town as you described it, and give them weird looks because of it (sadly).
I’m sure you have gotten responses about your hair, but you walking with him might have changed the results of the experiment and you couldn’t really know if it’s about you or your friend (or the camera man behind you).
This is not hate, I want to make sure you don’t think I hate you nor him, actually love watching your vids and I totally support Kenny.
Also you walking around with a camera man filming you can cause people to look at you in a weird way as well, as I said, people aren’t used to seeing that.
Just wanted to say that so you know in the future, if you ever do an experiment again, to think about that kind of stuff..
I live in the same town as the twins and they’ll get stares no matter what they do here. People wear sweat pants to work and clothing from Macy’s is considered fancy. The way they go all out with makeup and nice clothes would have everyone here confused I know I’ve experienced it haha. Kenny being his super extra self also is very different here. Not bad at all just not the norm here.

When I see someone with fashion colored hair, I usually do take an extra look. Same as someone with a beautiful balayage or icy hair or red hair (which I have). I think it’s just me looking to see how well they do it, sometimes it looks amazing, sometimes it doesn’t. I guess I’m just admiring, and I love color theory so just like someone with bright eyeshadow, I’m curious to see if it goes with their skin tone.
I wonder how Kenny felt as an African American gay man who wears makeup, listening to niki talk about the stares she gets because of her hair color, did he think she was extra? Did he feel no different? Did he just empathize as a friend? Not being mean at all I really just wondered what he was thinking the whole time

Perfect example of social anxiety at the beginning (I’m not hating, I legit deal with this too) but when she had her “normal hair” on and the girl forgot to give her the card back, Niki thought it was because she blended in so well that the girl “forgot about her”. I work at Dunkin and we usually have to hand out the drinks first while the card is processing because it takes a while. The girl probably just didn’t want Niki to drive off without it, (the card is usually the last thing you hand out). That whole interaction literally had nothing to do with Niki as a person. Also just a tip to anyone reading this, when ordering a drink at a coffee place, always say the size first. Otherwise everything you say after that is useless because they don’t know which cup to write on 🤷🏻♀️ I just figured I’d mention it because she did it twice in this video 😂

Lmaoo my mother was a Karen. I dyed my hair an unnatural shade of red (cherry red) and my mother forced me to dye it black. First thing I did when I became an adult and got my own house was go turquoise with purple roots!

Tala and Zahras world jaber: I have colored hair (it's purple) and I get a lot of compliments, I very rarely get negative comments. My male friend who was very openly feminine wore platform boots, bright makeup, and drag queen shirts frequently at school and was always judged and stared at. My comment was to show Niki that her hair wasn't always the reason why people stared or glanced. Whenever I was with my friend people always stared at him then glanced to me since I was with him. His makeup looked great and her hair is so pretty but in that type of area his makeup wouldn't be as appreciated by certain people.

Can I just add, that you were going to get stared at regardless because you were walking with a tall black man with make up on. His make up looked good, but like people are going to stare at the two people who are different and vibrant on the outside and also with vibrant personalities. Some of us just carry auras where we attract people to stare and look , maybe for a little bit longer. I’m trying to take it as a compliment that I’m turning heads and creating people to talk wether it’s bad or good. omg, i wanna tell u a story that's related to this a little bit. so i have this friend named jaliyah and whenever she hears a song that she knows she would sing it out loud in public and i would always ask her, "aren't you embarrassed?" and she would say no and i would always think in my head "why don't i sing in public?" and now that i've watched this video, i think i don't sing in public because i think other people would judge me or i think that people would be waiting for my voice to crack or something like that and jaliyah doesn't think that, she thinks that no one would judge her no matter how bad her voice is. when she sings, i would kinda act like i don't know her beacuse i thought she was embarrassing me but now i think other people think that i have a fun friendship with jaliyah and they might be jealous and want a friend like her. and now.. i sing my lungs out in public with jaliyah. :) (thank u for reading if u did read
I tried to sing in a Walmart and I ran into a stand full of apples and they went everywhere over the the floor......
I don't sing out loud because frankly I am too lazy to deal with people hating on me and my friends while we are singing

Video idea: this may sound weird, but I think it would be so cool if you got your hair died or wore a wig that someone picked without knowing what color, and then go out in public and live your normal day without looking, and then guess if it’s a fashion or basic color based on the way you’re treated!

raelynnhuffaker its an EXPERIMENT, so she needs to control her variables. If she’s testing how people react to “abnormal” appearance, than a man with makeup (no matter what u personally think about it) will skew the results.
It’s not about being personally uncomfortable, it’s logic and good scientific practice ....

I can honestly relate,
when my hair was purple everyone complimented me and talked to me and gave me so much attention, but when I got my brown hair back it was like I was invisible, no one talked to me, the workers didn’t make any eye contact to me got no attention. It’s so weird.
