Coincidentally I started playing the Sabre/Mig sim for once. Was pleasently surprised at how quickly I adapted to it vs prop games. Hope that IL2's Korea gets a good playerbase size to experience it like WT.
probably only few weeks at start and thats it, ppl will go back to their WW2, especily with poor choise of main two fighter airplanes, F86A vs MiG15bis, its gona be one sided realy fast with all axis players flying mig15s with most russian players also
@@countzero7 The question you need to ask yourself is will the russians who make the game model the mig 15's flaws i'm willing to bet they won't although I know some they can't
Sheriff, any tips on optimizing VR in War Thunder? I saw your IL-2 tutorial and was wondering if WT had niche settings with toolkit or graphics etc that would optimize the experience. Thanks!
@@SheriffsSimShack Dont be such a fanboy, you yourself have uploaded videos talking about how hard it is to setup IL2 to have a pleasant VR experience. The Hardware Resources IL2-VR needs is wicked. War thunder on the other hand runs butter smooth on my old gtx 1080 even on high settings. The optimization work they have done for VR really shows when comparing to other flight simulators.
The engine is benign yes. However the rest of the experience is subpar. VR would profit from fully working cockpits where it isnt nessesary to read of from the hud. The pilot can also just stick the head through the cockpit in vr. "VR experience" Is for me more than just getting it to run. I played both and VR us more consistent in IL-2. And with new hardware it's also now high picture quality.
@@thatgoofyvrguy you talking about Il2 or WT? If IL-2 then that can't be true because I have GTX 1080 (which is much better than 2050) and Rift CV1 (so very low resolution) and I can barely run it at low (only runs smooth when there's no other planes around). My guess would be that your game runs at 45 Fps capped (due to ASW). For me personally, I get motion sickness when Frame rate drops under 90. But yes I have heard of people that are fine with 45. So I guess you just have a strong Stomach ^^.

"Your wing's off!"
"I've had worse!"
Only when two wings are off i call it a draw
Some call it Crusader style flying though ;)
Despite its flaws, war thunder sim gives consistent intense combat which really scratches the dogfight itch. U rarely see furballs in other sims
agree, I have il2 but i prefer WT sessions over it although sim aspect is definitely better in il2
Never will be
3:47 random ryanair approach and landing
good to see the Sherif on snail's digital skies!
Awesome, really enjoy your videos 😁
one of my fav planes to fly sim
3:50 butter
The p 47 watching this sabre: "i see you learnt well, my son"
Which p-47?
Jesus, that J29 at 10:15 got roughed up

Not really. I play war thunder with pretty much maxed out gfx and the same res as IL-2.
Well done ! 😃👍
Why do you fly the Sabre at slow speeds?
Schade kein prop, aber man nimmt was man kriegt 😄
War thunders VR experience is just sooooo much better than IL-2
Ehm not my experience.

@@kratzeni I’m on a RTX 2050, with barely 4 gigs of vram and run the game at medium settings in vr just fine.

What's the usual player count on flight sim WT nowadays?
Hard to tell but there are more now then 5 years ago. That is for sure
@@SheriffsSimShack okay, because back then (2yr ago) it was a very small count (5-10)
At least in my timezone I can pretty much play what I want. Every tier has games
now too shabby🙂

None. I clicked on join
The voices in this game are really annoying indeed.
Well no-one can claim you're too right wing.
