I'm still deciding between a Bad Boy and a Toro. The professional landscaper who's cutting my lawn now told me that Bad Boy is a good mower, BUT their spindals have not kept up with the power of the newer engines and they tend to wear out faster. He said that Toro has evolved and their spindals can handle the newer motor's power a lot better. I'm still new at all of this, but his comments seemed to align with your discussion. Thanks for the video.

As a dealer, Toro is a no brainer. They are everything anyone would want from a manufacturer.
As a end users, we recommend finding a dealer that is close to where you live and passionate about what they do. This means they will have happy and competent people and good parts in stock to make owning your mower easy.

@@mainstreetmower Sounds good and thanks for the solid advice. It's the same as I've been hearing so it must be true! 💪 My dealership sales both the Bad Boy, Toro, and Husqvarna. The Toro Myride and Bad Boy are leading the votes. 🏆 Thanks again. 👊

I own both a Toro Titan Max & a Bad Boy ZT Elite, and the Toro is a much better machine hands down. There is no comparison for fit, finish and ride-ability. On paper, the Specs are similar for both machines, however the toro is smoother, faster and more agile. IMHO the Bad Boy is simply the value proposition as it is the cheaper machine.

Interesting video. The greasable spindles on my 2013 John Deere Z915b have lasted 10 years and 1400 hours of commerical mowing, 100% mulching with a mulching deck, often cutting 5-7 inch grass/weeds on a 200 acre site.

Fascinating, thank you. Im just replacing the bearings on my Wheelhorse. From 1976, so they've lasted 48 years.

Sealed bearings last longer than the greasable spindles. I never have delt with a mower that uses the cups / cone bearings. One advantage with them is they are adjustable by compression.

Great video, I've got a 2005 zmaster with the oldest spindle you showed. I've never understood why it takes so much grease between greasings. After watching your video I still don't see where that grease is going because there's no way for it to get out. I bet I put 1/3 tube of grease in every spindle when I grease every 20 hours or so.

I have a 2015 craftsman and i replace my spindles at least once every two seasons.

They want you to replace the spindles that's the reason they don't put grease fittings on the spindles !
