@@NotAScratchGolfer Once in a while to break thins up, I really enjoy your voice overs and explanations while playing. You and Golf Sidekick have breathed new confidence in my game, really looking forward to playing this season!
That's gotta feel special to card a 66 with your old folks watching. They must be proud, after seeing what you went through before your golf journey started 💙
Adam, this was such a great video to watch. So incredibly happy for you. What a round! I think what impressed me the most was that it wasn't perfect. Found bunkers and missed greens, but you were sinking putts and making smart choices and made some awesome shots. I started watching last year in the spring and you transformed my game. I always had decent skills but struggled with course management growing up. Driver off every tee, etc. Took a fifteen year hiatus and decided to get a membership this past year. My best ever in my twenties was 77 with a good round being around 84 and under, never had a 10 or below handicap. Last year shot a 73 and maintained a 7.3 handicap all season. Spent the offseason studying golf tips from the best, doing swing and putting drills while doing lots of swimming and yoga (winter here). I hope to see a 69 or lower this season! Anyways, just wanted to say a big thanks to you Adam because you literally changed my mindset, and I saw the results. If you're ever in Nova Scotia for some golf, I'd love to catch 18 with you somewhere.
Love to see it Adam. Well played. A (not a) scratch golfer clinic on course management and short game. No mistakes compounded, no 3 putts by getting too aggressive, no wild misses going for pure distance... After all the "he's a 20 hcp" comments, now you'll get the "he's a bandit off 6" comments. That's the reality of golf and why we keep coming back for more.
The birdie on number 1 was the most monotone excitement I’ve ever seen from you. Gotta stay humble I guess. Congrats on the round, that was great work!
This was some seriously good golfing! Hopefully gives you the confidence to go low again at other courses. I also loved the nice chilled out dialled back version of the edit, very refreshing
Hey Adam, love your videos. Your short game is unbelievable. Did you hire a coach? Any specific videos you watched? Or just a lot of practice. Thanks! I’m from Van too :)
Im all for it and you hit some fantastic shots out there, but DAMN this course is very short. 202 yard par four wtf. Again, short game looks incredible as always.
Congratulations!! Your short game is nearly always elite, but this video really really emphasises the advantages gained from drives in play. Well done!
Proof you don’t have to hit it long to go low. Way more important that you’re a boss from 120 and in. A few stats for the round he played a 5255 yd par 70 course (not a knock just stating a fact), his average drive was about 220 (240 if you take away 17), he hit 5 fairways, his average approach was about 120 (2 were from 230+), he hit 12 greens (incredible), got up and down on 4 he missed (2 were Sandy’s), so 2 holes where he missed a green and didn’t get up and down, and he had 26 putts….. Dude played tees that were appropriate for his ability, made a ton of putts and got up down. That’s where low scores come from gents….
This video mentally did me a world of good. Proves you don't need a perfect swing to earn a good score. There's hope for me yet!! Lol! Thanks for posting!
Missed ya Adam, nice round, i like the format but prefer your analysis voice overs, its very helpful when you break it down shot by shot. Also what course is this again?
When i saw your first shot i was like wtf is going on in his swing but the more shots i saw the more "normal" it started to look. and now when i go back and rewatch your swing doesnt look that wierd at all. (except the bunker shots they just look funky the way you hack in the sand yet the ball comes out nice) anyways good round dude keep it up!
Congratulations on your great round. Doesn't matter what a person's swing looks like if they can get the ball in the holes in the fewest number of strokes. Very consistent.
Adam shit! What a round! Dude I was so happy for you the entire video! Such a consistent draw shape with the driver/wood/hybrid! Man...I wanna be just like you when I grow up lol!
Great golf mate, good to see you get the job done ✔️ elite putting & clever course mgmt. Keep it up I'm learning a lot from your style of play, cheers👏👏👍
#9 was a great hole. an uncharacteristically bad chip, but goldfish memory, get tight to the pin and keep par. That's the hole that saves a good score.
What an awesome round. Just like you said. Kept it in play off the tee and super tidy within 100. Assuming the putter cooperates, low scores happen. Nicely done.
I remember commenting on your last video at this course as you were (once again) struggling with the 5th and saying "That hole is in your head, big time 😆Can't wait to see you finally get revenge on it and make a birdie there!" Well I'd say you got your revenge alright. Birdied it twice!! WTG, dude 👊
Thanks. I'm sure from a technical standpoint there are still 1,000 things wrong with it, but I do feel like my swing is more fluid in the warm compared to playing up in Vancouver.
Thanks! And indeed, I knew I'd have to catch fire with the flat stick to eventually break par at O'Donnell. Still left a couple of short ones out there, but such is golf!
@@NotAScratchGolfer yeah even every great round has it’s what if moments. All three of my 74’s I remember leaving some shots on the table (bad approach that goes into a bunker, putt inside of 6 feet missed) you always seem to leave at least 2 or 3 shots on the table to matter what you do. Your likelihood of breaking 80 goes up immensely when you avoid penalties. By my count I’ve never had a round under 80 with more than 2 penalty shots.
@@NotAScratchGolfer Not trying to be pedantic. But didn’t you get a lesson the other day? Your ball striking looked way better and combined with your great course management you played really well.
Great video, quiet, peaceful, with some ASMR sneaking around. Loved it!

Congrats, Adam, you made it 😀👏👏👍! Now, the most difficult task, I suppose, is to do it again !
Wow, great playing and nice videos. Goes to show you how important it is to keeping it in play off the tee along with solid short game/good putting.
Thanks, and this is exactly what I try to preach on the channel: keep it in play and be tidy inside 100 yards :)
