I love how he tried to attempt the same trick... also, the fact they named him after one of the most powerful beasts from Monster Hunter makes me smile.
Independent of the interesting magic trick, is the orangutan trying to make the card do whatever he thought the magician did, by tapping it with his stick. It's the intelligence that I see in these miraculous, endangered creatures that moves my heart and soul. And the Magician's smile when he watched the same thing is good to see. It means he too appreciates the human aspects of our near-family members whom we better keep treating me like family and give them great in-and-outdoor habitats in which to live and enjoy their years and families.
That wise man covered in fur who lives in the forest and knows the secrets of the universe cannot seem to figure out how that magic trick was done ... and neither can we.
Nice one :o) At 0:23, when he presses the card towards the glass, the "heart" is "the right way up", but when on the other side of the glass the heart is upside down - and the card on the outside slides down his shirt sleeve. Cool trick though... I can't explain how the other card ends up on the other side of the glass... thumbs up :o)
try watching the video by hiding the magician with your hand and take a close peak to the mirroring in the glas. he takes something away, I bet the card was there before. he just found a way to hide it. i don't think it's cgi, this magician is known for live shows.
He has a card pulling mechanism in hi’s right arm u can hear the click. The card was taped on the otherside with mylar and fishwire attached by the zookeeper :)
Seconds 33-35 playback speed 0.75. look VERY closely at the reflection in the glass by his right wrist and you can see a white rectangle shape (which to me appears to be the shorter edge of the card) and it slides right up into his sleeve! Reasons for my theory: 1. Notice when he puts the card on the glass he consciously places it slightly tilted over to the left (people without an agenda would subconsiously place the card vertically as that is our natural way or 'default' way' to show a playing card 2. His hands are on the glass and covering the card for quite a while, this is because he needs to manipulate the card from the 'slightly tilted to the left' which we last saw into an almost horizontal positon. He does this so the card is its thinnest and at a much better angle for him to be able to manoeuvre it up and unnoticed, past the tricky cuff and into his sleeve. 3. Notice that he doesn't move his hands much after taking them off the glass and he seems to me to slighty stiffen his right hand/wrist
Seen this trick several times, always thought the individual on the other side of the glass has to be in on it somehow. No way an orangutan could act in such a duplicitous fashion.

Ive only ever seen this done when theres an accomplice hiding behind the glass. Maybe the Orangutan is in on the trick!
This brings back so many memories, I loved Rajang and actually kinda cried when he died. I hope to see Tiga and the others doing well this Sunday

Easy ‘’magic’’ tricks that can only be pulled off on camera and can even be done by a 3y old
