Dispersion of minus signifies (AP) armor piercing. The lower minus the more AP. A positive number is for impact rounds like hollow point. It has nothing to do with accuracy that is the MOA (grouping) of the rifle. At least you got the velocity right.
@@Martonic No worries. I spent 20 years as a U.S. Army EOD tech with 6 combat deployments to Iraq/Afghanistan so I know my firearms well. Just thought I'd help you get the right info out was all.
@@scipher99 I'm not going to argue with you as you have all the credentials I'm just going to say that I respectfully disagree with you and here is why: I think the game does interpret dispersion as an accuracy(MOA) modifier , all the muzzle attachments has dispersion modifiers in Gray Zone. Notes: 1) As you probably already know AP usually has stricter accuracy (MOA) requirements compared to HE/other in military applications. This may explain why AP ammo has less dispersion that hollow point etc. 2) Dispersion in some parts of the world always refer to accuracy (MOA/Mills) and not performance after impact. 3) I'm not saying the devs are right and wrong in their implementation but dispersion in game refers to a accuracy modifier. @@neil5587 Damn, my dude what a very nice write up. After talking to a few of the Devs on their Discord I think they were leaning towards how you explained it, but they oversimplified it IMO. So easy answer Is Dispersion with minus values have higher penetration and plus values are like HP rounds where they dump all of the kinetic energy on impact. Accuracy is tied in but has not been fully implemented in game yet to dispersion. It is exciting to watch the game develop in early access and to be a part of it. Again, thank you for the amazing info I enjoyed exploring the links.
Hey, at 6:08 you say sabot shoots a bigger round, this is wrong. So a normal slug fires a .68 to .72 caliber projectile, a sabot fires only up to .50 (according to the description ig, I know 12 gauge is about 50 caliber.) So sabot from what I know, fires with a plastic piece that makes the slug spin, giving the slug less mass but making it more accurate since it is spinning. Might be wrong tho.
Dispersion=Spread/Expansion, as hollow points have the highest spread after they hit the target, as they mushroom and shatter when they hit soft targets, but have terrible penetration. Soft point rounds also spread, but not nearly as much as hollow point with low pentration still. Armor piercing (depending on the hardness of the jacket or core) has the least dispersion because it penetrates after initial contact instead of spreading. Nearly everyone I've seen try to explain dispersion has gotten it wrong. Your gun accuracy is related the MOA stat. Go check out videos of the actual rounds being used on steel targets.
In real life yes. In this game dispersion is tied to accuracy. The attachments modify dispersion so that Is why he explains it this way. But real bullets I won't concur with you.
Find any real world test on “dispersion” and it’s measuring the accuracy of a round or how shotgun ammo spreads. In game muzzle devices also give +/- dispersion which would indicate it does not refer to how a projectile expands on impact. Your rifle can be X.XX MOA, but the ammunition you fire out of it has its own accuracy characteristics.
@@walterwilmoth8390not even in real life. In real life almost everything I’ve ever read about dispersion when discussing ammunition has to do with where shots land on target versus point of aim. Also, shotgun ammunition. Dispersion is used to describe how the pellets patten/spread over distance.
@@RealEyesRealizeReelLies barrel MOA is its “dispersion” characteristic/ stat. Just spend 30 seconds to go google “ammunition dispersion” and I guarantee almost everything you are going to read is discussing the spread of ammo hitting targets versus point of aim. Tons of data analysis with statistics, standard deviation charts, etc… I’m not sure why so many people want dispersion to be related to how projectiles expand or fragment when hitting a target. It would be nice if the devs put something in the game to satisfy yall, but it’s not dispersion.
I have very limited playtime with that weapon and it's pretty terrible! Would recommend just going with the 5.56x45mm caliber and using weapons like the M4A1, works great.
Great work on the video. Just want to correct something. Dispersion is how much the bullet "breaks up and deforms" when it his the target. An armor piercing round wouldnt deform, therefore it goes through the armor, but does less internal damage. A "hollow point" deforms a lot. Meaning it wont go through the armor, but it will do a lot of damage to the body
Dispersion isn’t related to how a bullet expands or fragments on impact. Dispersion is related to how accurate the ammunition is or in the case of shotguns how the pellets disperse. This is why muzzle devices in game have +/- dispersion as well as ammunition.
This is categorically wrong. Dispersion is armor penetration value. MOA is what affects the accuracy and that's based more on barrel length and weapon type than anything.
Leave a like and subscribe for more! Thanks for watching.
Thx, mate ❤
5.52, Gunny, LVL2 at my place: You can pick between SP and FMJ. Take care. LVL3 seems out of sight and unreachable.

Trying my best over here mate! We do not have firearms in Australia so it's a little difficult 😅

Would love to be a gun guy irl but we don't really have firearms here in Australia 😅 Only way to experience them for me is through video games! 🫡

Skorpion is the most useless gun in the game, a shirtless guy with no footwear wont die with 3 mags of skorpion

I think it should be a secondary weapon. I do know you can get upgrades for it and better ammo but I haven’t tried to put 1 together and see how it is
Awesome dude...thanks for info
No problem, hope it helped! 🫡
did the delete the 7N1 Ammo? got Artisan Lv 3 but only 20 items not 22 like in ur video
was the sr ammo removed from artisan? becasue i have her level 3 and cant find the ammo neither on her nor turncoat
After the patch 1 update, the items which vendors / traders sell has been altered.
That chart shows that the game needs more armor as u get m855 really early and it goes through the best armor in the game
M855 Green Tip is very good but M855A1 is even better! There needs to be NIJ Protection Level IV armor in the game, one day.
The dispersion happens inside the body my guy not before
