I always look forward to your videos, but this one was special. There was an intimacy present in a way that i rarely see in other "chateau" vlogging. There's a sweet respect and kindness shown for one another, and I'm very inspired by you. Maruca is creative in such a refined way, that one would expect her to be giving workshops of her own. As she was leading us down the enfilade to the Mexican tree, in such a casually elegant way, I couldn't help but think about the confidence she projects. In fact, all of you are role models for young women. You are all working so hard to reach your goal. And it's beautiful to watch you doing it as a family. So hard to believe it has been three years!! Your chateau looks beautiful for Christmas, and yes, cozy and comfortable and ready to embrace your need to relax and recharge. As I was cleaning up a very messy kitchen this evening-messy because I’ve made cookies and a gingerbread cake today and no space is spared-I was thinking about how much work it is to clean up after a week of guests who fill the chateau during your retreats. Who washes all those sheets and towels and makes up the beds and refreshes bathrooms and toilets? You all give so much of your creative selves during the retreats and I wonder how much time you have to recharge yourselves between them-as important as doing the domestic chores. From afar, I can hear your fatigue and your need to wrap up in blankets by the fire, take naps, drink cocoa, read a sweet book. Thank you for getting this video out before Christmas-as a viewer I am grateful. As a mental investor in your process, I hope the remainder of the year is a special time for just the five of you and your animal family. I recently downloaded a book to help me focus on being quiet and reflective for a time this winter, titled Wintering by Katherine May.
