We had an infestation of tent caterpillars and used dish soap in the kind of sprayer that attaches to your garden hose. It worked great. It suffocates soft body caterpillars. Probably would work for you. Also, for the art studio. How about large bifold doors instead of arched doors. It will offer more light, and you can open them completely, enlarging your space by adding the space where your patio furniture is.
