Werter Herr Cooper! Mein Sohn war vor drei Jahren in NZ und hat Bilder von dieser Bahn mitgebracht!
Daher kannte ich diese Bahn schon! Beste Grüße aus Österreich!

Loved it, glad you edited out the Otira tunnel, it's a bit boring. I found the music relaxing, for the nay sayers there is always the mute button.

Nice scenery, but find the music distracting.

Wow, talk about isolation. Halfway through before we saw a person or a moving car, three-quarters before we saw a habitation of any kind.

Good vid, but don't like the background music, rather hear just the train sounds.

Relax, it will merely be whatever he was listening to on the built-in sound system in the locomotive cab. Before I retired just over a year ago, I used to listen to everything from classical to hard-rock to jazz while hauling Wairarapa passenger trains. It just depended on what I felt like listening to on any particular day. While hauling the first trainload of commuters from Wairarapa to Wellington each day, I used to listen to Radio NZ's Morning Report (apart from inside the Remutaka Tunnel where there was no broadcast radio reception). Other times I'd listen to Radio NZ Concert, or The Rock, or stick a CD into the system. In earlier times during the 1980s and 1990s when I was working out of Gisborne, often through to as far as Napier and return, I'd have loved to have had a sound system in the locomotive cab for those long hauls up and down the many hills on that line, but the locomotives weren't so equipped back then, so I just had to listen to the bloody noise from the locomotive all the way through each shift.

Its impossible to please everyone! I did try to compromise in this video with the added music

@@samocooper9070 I was okay with the music but in the beginning and somewhere part way through there is a lot of irritating noise which I thought was from the track but might have been wind noise. Was the camera outside the cab ? Thinking more the horn was very loud so maybe that might explain it. I have listened to a lot of train videos and never hear this noise before. I though it might have been noise from the wheels rolling on the tracks but decided it wasn't that.

@@chrissybabe8568 there was a fair bit of wind noise and screeching of the wheels on the track, my apologies, it was just a camera on the windscreen
