Very helpful video Paul. This is the only video I could find that explained how the adjuster worked i.e. turning CW (looking from above), slackens the cable.
Clear concise instructuon! I appreciate the hell out of you! I am learning to do the maintenance on my bike (minus rear tire lol) and rely on clips like yours.
Shortcut on having to loosen the clutch cable. You can use a rag and a crescent wrench or channel locks to disengage the clutch at the pulley and easily slip the cable out of the pulley's housing. There will be enough free play in the cable to service the lever end of the cable as well. Repeat the process to put the cable back into the pulley's housing after servicing. Though be sure to adjust the clutch cable afterward if needed.
One really important tip for those who haven't ever done this is to put extra emphasis on holding the pin that holds the CLUTCH lever down firmly... The first time I did this the top of the pin spun inside the housing and I had to buy a replacement lever; it SUCKED! Just wanted to mention that and save one of you my mistake lol
Paul great vid and most should understand you ment clutch leaver early in the vid without being children and making a big deal about it. Keep the great vids coming.
+russ osley Well that all depends on who you ask. The owners manual says to lube it every 10,000 miles (16,000 kms), but other owners that I have talked to says to do it every oil change 5,000 miles (8,000 kms). I do it once a month or two just because I like keeping my bike in tip top condition.
Yeah it's funny... I watched this video a dozen times while editing and I never realized I was saying brake lever until someone pointed it out to me. I can't believe that I did that. I am going to have to make a blooper video :)
I just cleaned and adjusted my clutch on a 2012 kingpin. Thank you for this great video.
Four & a half years & 70k miles later & I still refer to your how to vids, love them & you, thanks for the great info Paul, ride on!!!!

Great video Paul!
Very easy. Thank you
Great video! Very informative!
Thanks for this video!
Great video Paul! Do you service your throttle and brake cables also? Thank you.
No, just the clutch cable, but now you have me wondering if I should :)
@@PaulPomerleau My new video notifications are turned on just in case. Lol!
@@PaulPomerleau you have brake cables? Thought they were both hydraulic,
Great video!
Thanks for the video, every rider should know how to do this
what about lubing the cable inside the cable housing? should that be done?
+mtbrider2006 I have heard that some people do it, I don't. Also, the owners manual for my 2014 Victory CCT states to only lubricate the barrel ends.
how often should this be done

Maybe instead of being pedantic (picky to you) you could learn to spell.
"Brake" "Lever"
Never lubed the cable!!
Great video - thanks very much!
