Trust nobody that you don't personally know. People have to earn trust. You have to earn the company's trust and they do yours. 3. Loyalty is a good one. The company expects loyalty from its workers but will drop you in a lightning flash. There is no company loyalty. It's a job even if you love it. 4. Speed and efficiency comes with being good at what you do. The better you are the faster you are and the more you can adapt to change the better the company will like you. 5. In my opinion here is how I hire, I may not hire for experience, but I do hire for personality traits, like: smart, independent, loyal, self motivated, wants to improve him/herself, wants to improve the work environment. During my business experience I have started a few companies from the ground up and raised millions $$$ through venture capital funds. I had no time to train and no time to babysit. I needed people that I can trust and they can pick up and run!
I have one guy hired. He loves his job, he educates himself, we build trust step by step. And he is fast. Now problem we meet is our customers and suppliers are very slow and can not follow our pace :D
