Did you use a board warmer to help pre-heat the logic board? Is the Micron brand better than the Hynix? Thank you 😊 how or where did you find out about changing the resistor?
How does it perform? Did you put faster speed modules? Would that matter? Did you have to install macOS differently or did it immediately recognize and adjust? Considering taking mine and my friends to have this upgrade done
Performs better. Fastest if not mistaken is 1600MHz ram, but you wouldn't feel much difference between 1333MHz in every day use. No, macOS stays intact and memory is recognized, however, if not again mistaken, pre-2015 models do need BIOS modding e.g. memory pairing, meaning, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 models. The pairing is more cumbersome as it requires finding, changing and writing memory values and would def increase cost.
Hello! I just got a 1.3ghz 4gb of ram Mbar A1466.... its so SLOWWWW .... How Much would it cost to send you my logic board and have you put on 16gb of ram?????!!!?????? ( I was going to buy a 8gb ram logic board with anything faster than 1.3ghz.... but if you can put on 16gb of RAM for a reasonable price... I would extremely grateful. (also.... I have a 7+17 pin SSD from my 2012 retina 15'' MBpro ( I forgot to disconnect the battery before removing the ssd... so I fried the mother board, and on that 512g ssd... I have ALOT OF pics and videos of my now 7 year old Labrador when was puppy, as well as lot of pics and video's of life in my 20's.... I would really like to connect that SSD directly to the logicbord, instead of a external USB adaptor. any advice? Let me know how much for the 16gb of ram?!
No. Generally speaking, very few computers could accommodate two different types of ram, haven't seen capable retail computers for quite some time now. Ddr memory controller in the CPU can't be changed.
@@autorennengaming 2016-2020 Macbooks can be upgraded via soldering too, albeit my 2017 Macbook pro 13 inch has ceramic capacitors very close, can't remove not moving them out of place also. Tedious job and both motherboard sides have memory chips. Now, new generation M chip laptops have CPU and DDR memory on one chip, making replacing memory extremely difficult, not only because of different thicknesses where temperature warps one of the CPU base or something else, but also because Apple T security chip is embedded into CPU itself. What that means is Apple can render any changed memory capacity useless if not already. Without software or hardware bypasses, or both concurrently, very difficult to achieve. Not the case with SSD memory which can be upgraded, but costly. New Apple products have also parts serialized making repairs difficult. Anyway, would suggest anyone buying new Mac to choose the correct capacity upon buying.

Tengo una Mac air la cual le remplace chisp SKhynix por chips marca samsung. coloque las RAMs tal cual indica en el esquema y configure las resistencias correctamente para 16 GB, pero lamentablemente enciende y me indica que solo tiene 8 GB de memoria RAM aun cuando coloque las resistencias para 16 GB debo realizar otro procedimiento? De antemano muy agradecido por su respuesta.

O mie de scule, un milion de operatii, desfacutul placii de baza si remontatul ca-n filmele mute, pe repede inainte, cand ai de pus o mie de suruburi, cabluri, etc.... In plus, cum nimeresti bancurile de memorie pe locurile alea? Ca nu vad vreun ghidaj... Iar rezistentele alea de la final, sunt de vise rele... Repet, fiti seriosi!

You should use opencore patcher to install Sonoma or maybe even sequoia!
