Why are so many Christians divided across the world? I don't know! Did you "talk" to any of them? What did they say?
No, no...not what you say...what they say!
Oh I'm sorry I spoke out of line.

If we were meant to have all the answers and know the mind of God, then the Bible would not have evolved as it has. He wishes us to search the scriptures, listen for the Holy Spirit, and pay attention to the important stuff. Love God, love your neighbor. Listen, learn, live, and obey.

    • @Fred-Phelps
      @Fred-Phelps 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

yes so true but we also fail to obey the commandment to love one another which refers to our relationship with other Christians instead we are divided by denominational ties.
however many of these churches are just offshoots of offshoots and are not worth attending. we don't need any more denominations.

  • @grybnyx

But doesn't EVERY denomination believe it has gone to root of the New Testament and discerned the true meaning of Jesus' message? Never answered is the question of why any god would allow such confusion to prevail among the little clay creatures he made and supposedly loves so much.

As a Christian I don't think we are fragmented, different denominations have more essential beliefs in common than differences. Besides we can have our doctrines in check, if some denomination starts to deviate, we can call them out, unlike the Catholic church.

I've been taught that the many denominations keep evil on the run, the confusion serves a purpose. The Word is the same everywhere, always, regardless of people's choices or interpretations of how to follow the teachings of Jesus ❤

Division is caused by human nature. Everyone likes to be right. But from God's point of view, all followers of Jesus are united belonging to the same Jesus. They are united whether they like it or not.

Watched this program on Prime. A cleaver web of lies and trickery. Jesus healed like a physician that understood the power of the mind. Mary Magdalene was Jesus lover. Wow. Wow. Wow. What was missing is Jesus the Son of God. Read Mark 12:1-10 for that. Jesus came to die for the sins of mankind and will come again to judge the wicked. As the apostle Paul said all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It is through Jesus sacrifice and our accepting Him as Lord and Savior that we are saved.

I started watching this series and found it amazing that the host can tell us exactly what Jesus was thinking, why he did various actions and that he was not the messiah…honestly this was made to strengthen Christ deniers and put a seed of doubt in believers…if they buy this narrative.

The essential teachings of Jesus' ministry...
Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day."..
On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”...
Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you?"..
From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

The claim that there are 40,000 Christian denominations is a bit misleading. The source of this number is the World Christian Encyclopedia (WCE) or the World Christian Database, which counts denominations separately for each country, so it would count Spanish Catholics and French Catholics and Italian Catholics as three different denominations. This leads to a count of more than 200 Catholic denominations. The same is true of each of the main traditions - German Lutherans and Swiss Lutherans are counted separately. The WCE counts about 300 major traditions, so I would put the total number of Christian denominations somewhere between the two numbers to account for differences between different branches of the major traditions.

Oh yes the life after death promise of course, which is generated by the human arrogance and need to believe they will never die but will live eternally if they only have faith. The reason for so many sects of christianity is because each group interprets the Bible to jive with there own understanding and prejudices.

Jesus didn't get his start on the shores of Galilee. Jesus was first the Cosmos, or universe. Jesus was the cosmic being. It was lonely for Eons. Then he turned in on himself to view what was inside himself. That is when he began speaking with Nebula and galaxies, then taking a closer look, started speaking with planets and stars. Then a closer look at life forms on planets, and a closer look to atomic life and sub-atomic life. Then exploring all the galaxies and planets and stars speaking with every level of life. Taking on many forms of life. Travelling across the cosmos planet to planet taking on new forms and creating new shapes and figures. Until 2024 years ago landing on Earth by spaceship and walking the Earth for the next 2024 years. After descending from the cosmos, the largest form of life, to the second lowest form of life, just above sub-atomic life, human. Jesus still walks the Earth, just goes by a different name. Jesus existed as a celestial being for a time, but there were few celestial beings in existence. It was lonely even as a celestial being. Jesus didn't start the ministry, David did, the buddhist monks, the Jewish and the muslims did. Jesus just spoke, and taught, and learned, and painted and performed music, and built buildings and furniture and trinkets and gadgets and stuffed animals and wrote and travelled and made food recipes, and drew. All of the bible was writen by David and by James, hense the King David Bible and the King James Bible. The Bibles were spoken by a few people, mostly John, also known as Jesus, given many different names in the bible, such as Genesis, Exodus, Michael, Luke, Jonathan, Matthew. Most of the names in the bible were names given to Jesus. There were a couple of other people, such as Moses, David, and James. Most of the books Jesus wrote himself, were medical textbooks, poetry, story books, botany books, books on newly identified animals with names, discription and pictures, Psychology books and instruction manuels. Jesus was Yahweh, Yeshua, Buddha, Leonardo Divinci, Ludwig von Beethoven, Niccolò Paganini, John the Baptist, wolfgang Amadues Mozart, The Count of Germain, Franz Liszt, Vincent van Gogh, Frédéric Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn, Claude Debussy, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Richard Wagner, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Carl Orff, Antonio Vivaldi, Edgar Allan Poe, George Frideric Handel, Maurice Ravel, Joseph Haydn, Hector Berlioz, Antonín Leopold Dvořák, Edvard Grieg, Gustav Mahler, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns, Gabriel Urbain Fauré, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi, Sandro Botticelli, Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, Artemisia Gentileschi, Orazio Lomi Gentileschi, Agostino Tassi, Claude Lorrain, John Constable RA, Caspar David Friedrich, Nicolas Poussin, Jacques-Louis David, Ferdinand Victor Eugène Delacroix, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Jean-Louis André Théodore Géricault, Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, Marquess of Dalí of Púbol gcYC, Georges Braque, Franz Gerhard von Kügelgen, Johann Sebastian Bach, Jon Esquire Jones. I have never read the Bible. I wouldn't read the new testament if I never read the old testament. The new testament wouldn't make any sense especially if you want someone to believe in its stories. Reading the Book of Mormon without reading the Bible would make no sense to Mormons. You can't tell someone to skip the stories that the other books are referred.

you said : culture, politics divided Christians,; then you said to heal this divide we ought to go to the very teaching of jesus. i think you missed the target or intentionally you ignored the root cause of the differences.
......first of all it is not politics or culture that divided us. it is bible versions , for example , orthodox Christian got 81 books bible. yours is 66 books ., Catholics got 72 books.
...... therefore, different version means different perspective . To suppress the different perspective , one tactic employed by the west is a negative campaign to bible's which are not diminished to the 66 books.
    ,,,,,,,second, over the
years the west published so many kinds of 66 books bible. These publications are under different titles i.e. new standard, the geodeon international, the revised version bible, kj bible, American standard bible, copland bible, etc , even some of the bible said this is a correct version from the previous one.
The existence of All these versions means , you correct bible to fit with your preaching and to fit with your changing social values. So unless one is a fool there is no one to belive this or that is a genuine or orginal bible. Hence , already you loose common ground.
----you guys teach jesus is all knowing. Yet. In a bible there is a verse when jesus asked about that day of jdgment , he replied neither angels nor i know about it. ...keep that answer in mind.
I hear Pentecostal, evangelical and you saying : we ought to follow what jesus thought. If that is the case , would you say jesus dont know everything?
.......Remember ,He had said no angel nor I know the judgment day. So would you say jesus is not all knowing...... i dont think you will say that .
......so here you are ignoring his teaching.
.......my conclusion to your point of view is that no common ground for Christianity.
