The MTA should give the Guardian Angels use of some of those now abandoned retail spaces in many stations around the city. They can set up shop there, organize, dispatch, stock up on supplies, train, etc. These Guardian Angel Precincts can also serve as a quick drop in point for the homeless to obtain some basic essentials as you see here, or as an access point to find & obtain city related social service programs. Or for anyone in general to report to for help within the system, emergency first aid, etc. Also to improve communication amongst all the members around the city, give them a place to freshen & use the facilities, and so on. And as a staging center for other non for profit or charitable organizations looking to help the homeless cause & drug addiction throughout the system, but with guidance and vigilance from the Angels for safety. And of course, to drive up their numbers. Just a thought.
I agree. Sometimes low income people need a sandwich, some juice, a snack. There can be a non patrol department of the Guardian Angels that distributes food to those in need on the subway. Hunger is also a problem in our city. I'm sure New Yorkers would be willing to donate to this noble cause.

I saw the unedited video of that poor woman burning to death and not ONE person stepped up and tried to save her. It was heartbreaking to see. Then to read about all the stabbings that take place is unreal. Thank God for these men who decided to step up and try to do something. New York needs to step up and vote for people that are going to be tough on crime and clean that city up. Until then, tourists like myself will stay away.

No one springing into action to help a fellow Human Being is totally unforgivable!!! We have to do better than that. We have to come together, and help one another. It appears that the subway trains have been subdued buy homeless people suffering from mental illnesses. These people need help, but we cannot allow them to harm others. We have to support one another with protection. You'll never know if you will be the next victim. We need Unity and color has nothing to do with it. We need Unity! I promise you, if I'm ever on the subway train and I see you in danger I will help!!! I would never turn away and act as if I see nothing. Only cowards does that!

Over the years I've taken N,R,Q,W,F,1, A, C, E......... all those years I only saw them ONE time and it was right after a big news story about them. Lots of bad stuff happened on those trains over the years. To be fair.... I hadn't seen NYPD on the subways for decades either. They would remain at the station. Not even hang around on the platforms.
