Anyone else notice the Thrall steps in the sand, is Arthas walking the snow. Then Thrall kneels down and touch the sand like Arthas kneel down and touch the snow. You hear Anduins father "My son" like Arthas hears "My child" Anduin stands up and draw his sword in a pointing stance like Arthas. Then you see the sword in the planet, like the sword in the ice that was also aimed at someone.
Oh, I've forgot about the touching of ice by Arthas 🤦♂As I said at a previous video it is also similar to the Scourge ending cinematic in WC3 where Archimonde kneels down and touches the sand. BTW The music is so much like the music in the new Dune movie. Anduin plus the setting also have a little bit of Star Wars Tatooine vibe for me.
I think we all picked up the curated Anduin vs Arthas vibes in SLs. It’s absolutely brilliant writing, as it will make Arthas’ story all the more poignant. It’s well-timed, too, since WotLK Classic has been out for sufficient time for newbies to get onboard. An karanhir thanagor!
@@ericmats4662 There is an obvious link between Arthas and Anduin, since Arthas corrupted, broken soul was used to dominate Anduin, so it is clearly made on purpose and as artistic choice to raise this question in the viewer, as it is also what is tormenting Anduin: as he said to Sylvanas, a part of him had felt joy about this power and violence, that's the real issue, not what he was forced to do, but the doubt about himself, if he failed to resists the domination in the first place, because he was weak... or worse. He didn't really do much (likely because Zovaal wanted to keep Sylvanas in the shadow of his true plan to free mortals by getting rid of them and of course there was overall no need to much more anyway, it was all about getting the keys and his full power back) and in the end even mangaged to break free, what is far more than Arthas was ever able too or tried and that without such level of control (very likely that Light helped him there and that the images of his father and Saurfang were created by the light to remind Anduin who he really is and by that give him the will to break free). But the fact that he had such feelings inside him, that's what haunts him. The fear that he could become such a danger again, that he could be corrupted, like so many others - including that other human prince, who had served the light... But he shivers. When he raises his sword against Thrall, it's not in hate or rage, but in fear. And Thrall isn't confronting Anduin's blade with his body. He stabilizes it. He makes it and by that Andruin stop trembling, giving him hold.. He's doing what Uther and Jaina didn't do and scolding themselves for: he doesn't leave, doesn't let Anduin fall, what likely could indeed happen without that. Anduin isn't Arthas, but you can be sure that Uther and Jaina think about it over and over again: if they could have saved him from falling, Uther likely even more, because he indeed not only failed to stop Arthas first fall but he LITERALLY let him fall a second time, where he had all the power and Arthas soul in his hand.
@@clogs4956 Sad enoug, no, many didn't pick that up. Sad as it is, but good writing is often too subtil for people, especially for those who are used to bad writing = characters just explain everything via exposition and even the antagonists just tells his whole plan. That's why people also think that Zovaal was a bad antagonists. He was simply too realistic. He was exactly what a manipulator would be and he of course didn't tell people his plan or speak with those he does not care about. What was the main thing that made him the villain: he didn't care for mortals, he saw them as a waste of needed energy. That's the whole point of him. It simply would have made zero sense that he would talk to mortals all the time. SL also managed to use the long WoW story to show how manipulation works. Many stories can't even do that well by their limited time alone. SL upgraded all the manipulation in WoW massily, because before SL the dread lords seems like stupid idiots who pretty much always fail with all what they are doing, since every time you see them, they of course kind of have to lose for the game to go on. To show, how they got this giant network running and how all these little plans weren't even that important, but just part of pushing everything furthe and further, step by step in their direction, that's exactly how it works. People rant about "omg, everything was a plan of the Jailor". No, it wasn't. He simply hid in the back and pushed and pulled here and there, to get closer to his goal, little by little. And that wasn't ONE plan, but thousands of little things, here and there cummulating into bigger things, but in the end it was a giant war with thousand of little battles and it didn't matter how well the single battles worked out for him, as long as the overall war went in the wanted direction. It was well done showing that - but most peopel don't understand it. What is by the way the same reason why so many people fall for real manipuation. They don't get it.

Did anyone notice that Shalamayne core didn't glow ? When Varian had it, Shalamayne's core was orange, when Anduin wielded it it was yellow, now it's nothing, like it's disabled or he's no longer worthy of it.
In the Legion cinematic where Anduin visits the place where Varian died, he finds Shalamayne in its non-powered state. Then he has a vision of his father and during that vision the sword gets a glow from Andiun's determination. So I think Anduin just needs to find his worth, selfconfidence and determination again. Find himself, as it were.
I think Anduin, as Everyman, will master both Light and Shadow. Technically, he’s already mastered Life and Death. All that’s left is for him to bring Order and Disorder back into balance. Remember da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man? A bit like that, but with cabalistic intentions. I also think there might be Naaru incoming…
I was always interested in the lore of the game even tho i have no interest in playing it. The last few xpacs killed it and the lore theory channels. Glad to see it might be making a comeback!
Maybe it’s gonna be a new titan of the void so that they can finally tame it. If sargeras was a titan who fell because he went crazy then why not a titan of the void? Plus if you put all the new expats together you get “ A war within midnight, the last titan” maybe midnight is the name of a new titan representing the void to join the pantheon and can’t be born without azeroths help.
