@James Link I'm sorry to hear that you or someone you know had a negative experience working for Walmart. Employee treatment and working conditions are important issues that should be addressed by companies, and it's important for employees to have fair compensation, benefits, and working conditions. 😌
The no long checkout lines rule is definitely not followed in a lot of the Walmart stores in my area, and the biggest cause is not enough cashiers on duty at any time.
@anotherguyTN Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It's possible that the "no long checkout lines" policy may not always be followed in certain Walmart stores, especially if there are not enough cashiers on duty to handle the volume of customers. While Walmart may have policies in place to try to ensure a positive customer experience, staffing and other factors can sometimes make it difficult to consistently meet those goals. 😁

Most stores have undercover security. Remember working at a grocery store years ago and one of them was hiding behind the counter of the coffee shop I worked in waiting for someone to "make their move" towards the exit.
@Joshua Ortiz Yes, it's common for many retail stores to have undercover security or loss prevention agents to help prevent theft and ensure the safety of customers and employees. These agents may be dressed in plainclothes and may blend in with customers in order to observe any suspicious behavior or activity. While these measures may be necessary to protect the store's assets and ensure a safe shopping environment, it's important to also respect customers' privacy and avoid any unnecessary or invasive measures.🕶️
@Based it's important to note that different stores have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and what works for one person may not work for another. While Walmart may have many strengths, such as a wide selection of products and competitive pricing, it's important to also consider factors such as the company's labor practices, environmental impact, and overall impact on local communities. Ultimately, the decision of where to shop is a personal one that depends on a variety of factors, and it's important to do your own research and make informed choices. Thanks for watching bro!🤗
You do realize Walmart did raise its average store wages to 17.50 hour. So you're wrong. As a matter of fact some jobs in my area at Walmart DC start as high as 25.00 an hour. Facts.......
@Fake Jeep It sounds like you're frustrated with the checkout experience at Walmart, despite the presence of both self-checkout options and manned checkout lanes. While it's true that Walmart has been increasing the number of self-checkout lanes in their stores, they also typically maintain a number of manned checkout lanes to provide customers with a choice of checkout options. 😊
@SuperAwesomeMovies Yes, that's true. "Made in China" is a label that can be found on many products sold in various stores, including small businesses or mom and pop shops. This is because China has become a major manufacturing hub for many different types of products due to its low labor costs and high production efficiency. However, it's worth noting that not all products made in China are of poor quality. Yes, they should raise employee wages, but it's not like the employee is locked out of getting a piece of that $20 billion shareholder dividend. Buy company stock.
@Joshua Ortiz While it's true that employees may have the opportunity to purchase company stock, it's important to note that this may not be a feasible option for all employees, particularly those who are struggling to make ends meet on a low wage. Additionally, owning stock in a company does not necessarily guarantee financial stability or security, as stock values can fluctuate and may not provide a reliable source of income. Raising employee wages can have a significant impact on the financial well-being of workers, particularly those in low-wage positions. It can help to reduce income inequality and provide workers with the resources they need to meet their basic needs and support themselves and their families. It can also help to boost employee morale and productivity, leading to greater job satisfaction and retention. Ultimately, it's important for companies to balance the interests of shareholders with the well-being of their employees, customers, and communities. By taking steps to support their workforce, companies can help to create a more sustainable and equitable business model that benefits everyone involved.
@BabbleTop , of course, buying company stock doesn't guarantee financial stability, nor is it feasible for everyone. But it is an option for people trying to climb out of poverty rather than waiting on Walmart to do something.
@Joshua Ortiz Furthermore, buying stock may not be a viable option for many workers who are struggling to make ends meet on low wages. Even if an individual can afford to buy stock, the potential returns may not be enough to significantly improve their financial situation or help them climb out of poverty.👌

I got tired of 'mom and pop shops' because of poor service, old inventory and excessive prices. I needed a TV tube once. A local shop wanted $14.00. The suggested retail was $3.95. I usually bought them for 39 cents. I would order things from local stores, that they never even tried to fill, while I had a customer waiting for a job to be finished. I ordered supplies by the box, bag or bundle, unlike a lot of competitors, and even then I sometimes was ignored. There are at least six Walmarts near me, and thousands of small businesses.
@Michael Terrell I'm sorry to hear about your negative experiences with mom and pop shops. Poor service, old inventory, and excessive prices can certainly be frustrating for customers. One local grocery store chain has been through at least two bankruptcies, and they have gone from over a dozen stores to just a couple in the last 20 years. A lot of the issues with large chains is local or regional management, not corporate issues. I recently saw a video of a woman bitching that the only Walmart in her area didn't have the brand and type of tire she needed in stock. She lives in the desert, and it was a very expensive off road tire that only specialty shops would stock. The owner had built the business, an he was retiring. I've known him for over 25 years, and he spent most of his day on the phone, (or later online) looking for specific tires. It's not fair to blame all shortages on the stores when there simply aren't the goods being made. 'Just In Time' manufacturing caused some of this, where the manufactures keep only days worth of raw materials, and little or no finished products in stock.

I find many of these unsurprising, some very surprising. I do believe that the US government should intervene as it is obviously a monopoly in retail, but our government is currently as useful as mixing oil & vinegar. I’m truly saddened by our current state of affairs, and long for the days of the 70’s & 80’s. I suppose each generation thinks that their generation had it the best when they were young…
I think it's terrible that Walmart Employees Aren't Aloud to Voice their concerns Or Opinions on Anything Employees and People in General Should Be treated Fairly and with respect and Paided Good, and to be able to Receive good Benefits to for they're Hard work and Dedication to the Company as a Whole it's Time to Stand up for our Rights
@Awesome Sauce 2.0 I understand and agree with your sentiment that employees and people, in general, should be treated fairly and with respect. It's important for companies to create a safe and inclusive work environment where employees feel comfortable voicing their concerns and opinions without fear of retribution. However, it's also important to remember that all employees have a responsibility to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to adhere to the company's policies and procedures. 😁
Wait… they have microphones? Everyone, start making moaning noises like you were being f***ed in front of the microphones. Lol.
@Unknown Person I'm sorry, but making inappropriate or offensive noises or comments in public places like Walmart is not an appropriate way to express dissatisfaction with their services or policies. It's important to treat others with respect and kindness, even if you're unhappy with a particular situation. 😌
Everything proven people are so lazy now days at your store
Some interesting facts, but far too much politics.
@Geoffrey Montegriffo I always strive to provide accurate and informative responses to your questions. We have 3 Walmart stores in my home town, including the largest on the West Coast by sf.
One of them closed several checking lanes, and created 16 self-check-out lines.
Why don't we get a % Discount bc we customers do the work of a cashier... ???
FOR THEM.
Walmart sucks I do not go there
@Xman B I'm sorry to hear that you've had negative experiences with Walmart and that you choose not to shop there. It's important for individuals to make decisions based on their personal preferences and experiences. While Walmart may not be the right fit for everyone, it does provide affordable products and services to many communities, and employs a large number of people around the world. 😉
