Sorry for late response. Hope not too late. Thank you for watching and your lovely comment. It means a lot to me. For elastic waistband, use the hip measurement at the waist instead of the waist measurement. Meaning, you will have a straight line from waist to hip.

Thank you @ Akinwande Modupe. To place double darts on the back block, you will have to divide the block (waist and part of the hip) into 3 equal sections and the two division lines is where you place your dart. They don't have to be vertical, you can angle them for better fit.

Thank you for this tutorial, please I have a question, what if I used half of my thigh measurement to get the crotch curve for the front pattern, how do I get the back crotch curve without dividing the 1/4 of my hip? I am asking cos I would prefer to use 1/2 of thigh rather than dividing 1/4 of hip to get the crotch curve. Thanks
Let me spare you the mathematics. If thigh measurement is used in front, 3" is often added to 1/2 thigh at the back for an average woman and 3.5 for an XXL. Don't forget the 1.5 to 2" back pattern increase and seam allowance by the side.❤️
