Yeah Family Guy is great and all, but the Stewie and Brian episodes are something else entirely. They feel like a cartoon made with emotion and passion.
I know Family Guy is just a cartoon comedy series, but this episode truly was a masterpiece. I mean, I love Family Guy, regardless, but this episode has now become a Christmas tradition in my family. Just spectacularly well done throughout. I’ll never forget the night this actually premiered. I was a senior in high school, sitting by the Christmas tree with my sister. We were just tuning in for a typical Family Guy episode and then this hit us. Incredible job from Seth and his team.
This is one of my all time favourites from Family Guy - it's got that classic sound and melody to it - the orchestra is just amazing - it's always up to a high standard on this show, but here it's at it's best.
Sometimes, I like to think that this song is based off of how hard the creators work to make an episode. I mean, God, I wasn't expecting a family guy episode where Santa really existed. So then I thought: "why else would they make Santa appear." Then I realized something: Seth is basically the Santa of this song because he works his ass off to put time and effort into this. And there might be times when he just gives up, but then Stewie's singing part is basically us, the loyal fans! We want him to see how much fun we have with each episode
It' not the fact that you believe in Santa, it's the fact that the Earth got more and more populated, and the toys became more complicated to make. All this has taking a toll on Santa, as the the scene was a satire on why so many people want a lot of these expensive toys for Christmas and that the person who gives these expensive toys get nothing in return. A grim parody on the joy of gifting for Christmas, without the giving.
MaddogSamurEye Ironically, I see this as a great symbol for capitalism as it is too. Many people, ideally, want to be as rich if not close to being rich as the wealthiest men and women on Earth and the problem also lies in our large population. It also does not help that EVERY country on Earth wants to have the same standard of living as the richest states in the USA. Replace the toys and other stuff with trees, coal, etc., the reindeer as trains, cars, and other transportation, the elves as unpaid workers in sweatshops and minimum wage workers, and Santa Claus as the Invisible Hand and this is exactly how I see the current world (minus the few countries here and there that are entirely communist or something similar). Oh yeah, almost forgot, every person getting presents might as well be the obvious consumers putting in their requests (minus paying Santa Claus). Unlike this cartoon christmas special though, I feel there will be lots of difficulty in convincing people that we ought to live within our means rather than strive for the American standard of living.
Ashley Earwig the numbers alone would do it; massive MASSIVE global inflation, and the overpopulation, even if each person only asked for 1 present like in this episode, it would still be billions of presents.
This is honestly my favorite song from any musical. Seriously, everything was done right, the voices, the lyrics, the message, and, oh, THAT ORCHESTRA.
I'm seventeen years old and I STILL believe in Santa Claus believe it or not. Starting this year 2013, I will makeup my Christmas list the way anyone would write a letter to Santa, except I will be addressing him as Spirit of Saint Nicholas of Myra when I write to him and I will speak as an adult who still holds the spirit of Christmas within his soul.
Cesar Barbosa I have already begun the work on it =) The drums are complete. Orchestra is pretty much done, need to add some things here & there but will be simple. I just need to record the rhythms & leads. X-mas is still 17 days away. It's gonna be epic!!
Funny thing is, these episodes DID air on the same night--December 12, 2010. And since AD typically airs after FG, that would be a seamless transition between this ep and the events of "For Whom The Sleigh Bells Toll". Good catch. ;-)
it just shows what Christmas is doing to the world, kids just want more and more, and that's not what it's about, its about giving and being happy with those you love
Here's MLP version. "Hearth's Warming is killing us!" The Cutie Map calls the Mane 6 to the most north of Equestria to solve "Father Hearth's Warming" (the reindeer)'s problem during Hearth's Warming Eve, since Ponyville get a lot of brush-off mails from "Father Hearth's Warming". When they arrived to his workshop, they saw "Father Hearth's Warming" turns out to be a sickly old reindeer, the elves deformed from the toxins and inbreeding in an attempt to keep up with the toy demand and the other deer are carnivorous monsters. When "Father Hearth's Warming" collapses and dead, Twilight and her friends attempt to make the deliveries themselves to save Hearth's Warming Eve. Song: "Hearth's Warming is killing us!" (sing by "Father Hearth's Warming", the elves and Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Applejack)
One of my favorite family guy songs along with the rose and all I really want for Christmas (Im not sure that is the actual name but it is at the beginning at the first part of the episode)
Answer to Johnathan O'Rourke: (I'm seventeen years old and I STILL believe in Santa Claus believe it or not. Good for you! :-D
At the end of Road to the North Pole, Christmas and Santa get better, so I'm assuming that the episode where Steve shot Santa chronologically took place the next Christmas after Road to the North Pole.
I see what you're going at but I was thinking more on the visual part. I know that the clip only uses the soundtrack but I think we can all agree seeing the episode that it was creepy like Nightmare Before Christmas
fun fact: santa is old because it shows that its near the end of the year and new year's eve is known with a baby because it symbolizes how its a new year
It's more about the spirit of the holidays and giving kids something to believe in. Just cause your childhood sucked doesn't mean everyone else should suffer too. >.> I joke, I joke, I keed, I keed
All Christmas retail workers: please stand for your national anthem.
Soooo true lol
Lol true
KieRanaRan +10
And now to honor America with the singing of our national anthem.
i work at Walmart so i know the pain
This musical number was actually nominated for a Grammy Award. Seth Macfarlane truly is a genius.
Really, this song is such a masterpiece. Extremely underrated episode!
Love the song, and it sounds just like a musical
Yeah Family Guy is great and all, but the Stewie and Brian episodes are something else entirely. They feel like a cartoon made with emotion and passion.
One of the best versions of Santa ever created
Well.... at least one of the most true :)
Yeah my best scene with him is when you kill him in back to the multiverse
I know Family Guy is just a cartoon comedy series, but this episode truly was a masterpiece. I mean, I love Family Guy, regardless, but this episode has now become a Christmas tradition in my family. the lesson is learn to live with less and with santa's love christmas will be alright
I like how you just repeated what Family Guy explained at the end of the episode. XD

Seeing a beloved holiday icon on the brink of death would break your Christmas spirit if you were a kid.
This song really feels like something out of a musical
The Family guy team actually records live orchestra music
***** Wow...
DrCerebro family guy is a musical.... most of the memorable stuff is their songs, don't lie to yourself by saying its not. :P
Henry IV I never lied to myself about anything :) I wasn't sarcastic or anything i really meant that it felt like something out of a musical
x3 okay, and seth Mcfarlen (im sure i misspelled that) said he made every boy and girl a fan of musicals without their knowledge.
My favorite Family Guy song. It may be a bit depressing but it is still plays well to the ear as well as puts out a good message.
Yet another awesome song in a Brian and Stewie episode!!! Where would the show be without those two!!! The "Road to..." episodes are classics!!
Way to make people feel good about the holidays, Seth.
This song has a point every one shouldnt want everything in the world for Christmas it's not about the presents its about family and loving eachother
Seth McFarland is right on the money on this. If Saint Nick were real he would be dying or dead from all the stuff we demand from him.
Ashley Earwig the numbers alone would do it; massive MASSIVE global inflation, and the overpopulation, even if each person only asked for 1 present like in this episode, it would still be billions of presents.
One of the greatest song of Family Guy

How'd it go?
So I'm thinking of doing a Melodic Metal version of this for Christmas.
Do it
Tag me on it please! I wanna hear it if you do it!!
Cesar Barbosa I have already begun the work on it =) The drums are complete. Orchestra is pretty much done, need to add some things here & there but will be simple. I just need to record the rhythms & leads. X-mas is still 17 days away. It's gonna be epic!!
Can't wait :3
Dude awesome, tag me as well cause ill forget.
who else wants to hijack a mall radio on Christmas and play this very loudly
me
Funny thing is, these episodes DID air on the same night--December 12, 2010. And since AD typically airs after FG, that would be a seamless transition between this ep and the events of "For Whom The Sleigh Bells Toll". Good catch. ;-)
Great quality on this video! Well done! :D
This song was in my head when I have to work more on christmas
it just shows what Christmas is doing to the world, kids just want more and more, and that's not what it's about, its about giving and being happy with those you love
This sounds like a like a classic Disney Villain song
+Christian Johns Johns it does
Did you know the voice actor of gaston sings this
+Nathaniel Fernando I don't think that's true. Bruce McGill played Santa, Richard White played Gaston
Bruce McGill was Santa's speaking voice. Richard White was his singing voice.
I know.
I'll be with Allah soon . Best part in that episode
+Auron Xhani scary af tho lol
I love the feeling of theater this song gives me
Favourite song from family guy :D
China's new Anthem.
Would love to see a Viennese waltz to this on strictly ;)
🎵 Each bell would peal with a silvery zeal 🎵
Invisible lyrics, eh?
I thought so too, you have to turn on captions
Ah, that's good to know.
really is one of the best episodes
This is, hands down, FG's best musical number to date!!
Once you get over the message, you're right, it plays smooth.
Here's MLP version. "Hearth's Warming is killing us!"

Song: "Hearth's Warming is killing us!" (sing by "Father Hearth's Warming", the elves and Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Applejack)
Gets me in the Christmassy mood
One of the best musical numbers they've done I reckon.
BEST CHRISTMAS SPECIAL EVER
Im not even going to lie...I love the musical composition of any original Family Guy song
This is one of the best holiday songs since it addresses the commercialism and greed of the holidays, something most specials shy away from.
Just watched this on TV love this episode.
Probably the best family guy episode ever!
One of my favorite family guy songs along with the rose and all I really want for Christmas (Im not sure that is the actual name but it is at the beginning at the first part of the episode)
my favorite episode of family guy is the one when brian and stuiew get trap in the bank there it show the relly friendship of two wired pals
Best song in Family Guy! I love it!!!!
I love family guy songs
Even though I resent the show’s modern era, this Christmas episode is one of my favorites.
A great song nevertheless.
Why thank you very much sir. :3
*puts on manly man-belt of manliness*
This episode is now a Christmas tradition for me! 😂

Good for you! :-D
I want this to by ringtone for the holiday season
this is my favorite family guy song by a mile
This is the best song I heard from Family Guy!
Congradulations, You got the point =D
The part when he said that the elfs are on crack is hilarious.
Such a pleasant song.
Best Santa Ever
"I'll be with Allah soon."
yes, another power critic from family guy... awsome.
At the end of Road to the North Pole, Christmas and Santa get better, so I'm assuming that the episode where Steve shot Santa chronologically took place the next Christmas after Road to the North Pole.
Huh....never thought of it like that. Good job Skylar
all seths songs should be put on an album and downloadeable
Yay, its like Nightmare before Christmas all ocer again
I see what you're going at but I was thinking more on the visual part. I know that the clip only uses the soundtrack but I think we can all agree seeing the episode that it was creepy like Nightmare Before Christmas
I love this song allot
I'm having trouble finding a song to follow this one up in my playlist, because of the tone and tempo of the song.
Wow, Santa has a really nice voice. =D
I'm watching this :b great song, episode, and show.
new favorite song
even so it dose actually make alot of sense
You may think I.. look.. great.. but I'M TWENTY-EIGHT! ♫
best Christmas song ever ^w^
Love this song; I have to admit, the feel of it rather reminds of of Nightwish's "Scaretale."
THIS is my Christmas song. lol This shit is hilarious!
if you like this kinda christmas songs try search the night santa went crazy on youtube! :)
This is probably one of the most genius things Seth Macfarlene has done.
Santa is a TIME LORD!!!
THis song makes alot of sense, the growing population plus rise in technology would make, making and delivering presents a living hell.
Yes I'm looking this up right after the song played on TV. Who else???
I think this is the best Family guy song they made. But of course they made a lot of awesome songs. but i like this one the best.
This is amazing. Reminds me a bit of 'Madame Guillotine' from the Scarlet Pimpernel with a touch of something uniquely Seth McFarlane.
Actually, Copyright prevent them. They had several of vids but was taken down.
santa got a reality check lmao
my new fravrit x-mas song
Child innocense of work being yelled at what work is actually like
fun fact: santa is old because it shows that its near the end of the year and new year's eve is known with a baby because it symbolizes how its a new year
this is a great song
fav episode :3
Are we getting the lyrics for Christmas?
Turn on the captions, dumbass.
@welzen try saying that to the millions of fans who thoroughly enjoy this show to the bone
maybe it's just me, but I think I hear Gaston singing
+Mikasa Gaming its his voice actor singing
how is he only 28?
extreme stress and lack of sleep causes premature ageing of the skin making him look old
Wardog261291 I don't think you got the point of his question.
Alexei Strife his question was basically how is he 28 since he looks old
Wardog261291 No, it isn't. Actually read what he said.
"HOW is he ONLY 28 year old?"
what if he is born on a leap year and only celebrates his birthday on the leap year leap day
Don't give in to the peer pressure XD
Christmastime is literally killing me.
Christmas used to bring us cheer but now we have nothing but greedy people wanting more and more...What have we become?
SANTA is old and pissed, the ELVES looked crack addicted, and the REINDEER r like a pack of cubacabras. although they r solitary
It's more about the spirit of the holidays and giving kids something to believe in. Just cause your childhood sucked doesn't mean everyone else should suffer too. >.>
I joke, I joke, I keed, I keed
So catchy!!
this song is very haunting...
what if... the lyrics are written in invisible ink?
*cough*captions*cough*
cough*didnt think about that*cough
