    Finally a demo of a dumble amp with some dumble kind of hair and light fuzzy overdrive. All the demos i saw were super clean and similar to a two rock. I already have a traditional clean so i dont need one, i need a dumble and these are great

      Exactly correct. Every Dumble ODS video seems to be uber-clean with single coils. If you want that go get a SSS. Glad someone did one with humbuckers and a bit of overdrive

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The amp does have a master volume as do all Dumble ODS styled amps. However this amp needs high volume in order to sound at its best. Both volume and master on 5 or 6. I recommend that you buy a C-Lator in order to attenuate it.

    Could you please advice about the difference between your Two Rock Classic Reverb Signature and this Ceriatone OTS? I would be really interested in listening to you playing the Ceriatone clean channel with a strat and the duellist...to compare! thanks a lot in advance! ...I am thinking since long to buy a ceriatone...but no valuable demo available!!

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alessandro Dallocchio hey man. The cleans could be really similar. Both based in blackface amps. But that’s about it. The classic reverb is a single channel amp. It breaks up a bit with the FET gain, but very different. The OTS is a dual channel amp with the overdrive that you hear in this video. I can try to do a video with a strat and the Duellist, and you will see I get a similar sound. The classic reverb can be dialed in in many more ways though. You can open the sound much more because the circuit is designed like that. You can play a guitar with humbuckers and the neck pickup will sound open and full of air and tone. Maybe the problem other amps have is that the tone EQ is a bit limited and thus sound kind of muddy you know what I mean?

      Fede S. Kajganić Hi Fede! yes I know...I was really wandering if I need to spend all that money to obtain the nice tones you showed in the past videos with the two rock or if a ceriatone could be a cheaper solution! I have seen that they also have a JM model...do you know about that? thanks for your answers!!! cheers!!!

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alessandro Dallocchio I have not tried the JM model. But I’m sure it’s pretty good. I’ve owned a ton of two rocks (around 10) and they have something special. I’m not going to lie. The structure of their amps is simply perfect. Those amps sound good with anything you throw at them. The Ceriatone is awesome as well, but what I’m trying to say is that they are different. They have some things in common, but the rest is pretty different. The classic reverb signature is much more tweak-able but that’s its nature. If you like Dumble style overdrive and also the tweakabikity of the clean tones, check out the two rock Bloomfield drive (or custom reverb for its predecessor, which you can find used for good prices).

    How does it compare to the Two Rock CRS you have? Very different? Can get much more overdrive. I have the Two Rock CRS as well and love the crunch tones out of it.

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Reggie Andrade the classic reverb signature is a single channel amp. Crunch tones are limited. It’s basically a cleaner platform. The OTS is a dual channel amp. The second channel is the overdrive channel and it gets pretty hairy if you want. But it’s very dependent on high volume (around 5 or 6 on both master and volume).

    • @reggieandrade4098
      @reggieandrade4098 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@argbluesman Thank Federico. I have an attenuator so volume is not an issue. I've minimized my pedal collection and started to collect amps. I much prefer amp drive over pedals.
      How's the OTS 50 core tone compare to the Two Rock? I take it your still happy with the OTS and build quality is good? I'm intrigued now on the Ceriatone line for it's price point being point to point handwired. I've spent enough cash on new amps like the Two Rock CRS, Matchless DC30, Marshall custom 1986 Bass build (Dr. Dan) and a used Mesa Dual Rect for high gain fun. The first three amps mentioned were well worth it though....quality sound and build.

    • @reggieandrade4098
      @reggieandrade4098 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see you have/or had the Two Rock TS1. The Ceriatone OTS 50 is similar then tonewise? See that you use the C-Lator as well.....your toughts on it
      thank you

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Reggie Andrade the build quality is outstanding. Absolutely amazing. The core tone compared to the classic reverb signature is similar in some ways, because it’s very blackface. But of course the classic reverb signature can be tweaked more because of the gain stages and all.

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Reggie Andrade yes I owned both. They are both amazing but I wouldn’t buy the TS1 again. The OTS is just as amazing. The clator is a must if you want to use pedals through the loop or want to tame the volume again. But I have the universal audio ox so that solves my problems. I don’t use the loop.

I own a Two-Rock Classic Reverb Signature and I’ve seen a lot of your posts with your Classic Reverb and your Kingtone Duelist and you pull some amazing Robben Ford tones from that combination. Do you find that combination more flexible than the OTS or your TS1? I ask because I have enough cash saved up for a Duelist or an OTS kit, just trying to make up my mind and you have lots of experience with the gear I’m looking at.

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheD33pthawt hey man, thanks for the kind words. My main rig includes the CRS and the duellist most of the time. That’s where I feel at home. The TS1 and the OTS are outstanding amps. For the Robben tone, I would say that any of those two would do. That’s the kind of overdrive Robben is known for. The duellist is different because it’s a Tube screamer and a blues breaker. Another pedal that you could consider is the JRockett The Dude, for that Dumble overdrive. I have a few videos of that one played through the CRS. Check them out!
