I am realizing that some might not understand what makes me tick and the theme of this channel . I made a promise to myself that as long as I'm doing daily vlogs I will make an effort to go outside and explore and attempt to either learn or see something I haven't seen before . It's a task I've stuck with for over 5 years . While I know they can't all be home runs and cater to each and every viewers needs I do my best to spread out the content to a wide variety of topics . History fascinates me and always has , even weird fast food history .
I think people are associating this channel with the AdamTheWoo channel and expecting you to go out and do the same type of things. One theme is "adventure" stuff the other is "daily life." The Daily Woo travel vlogs (which I enjoy immensely BTW) helps feed that confusion. Anyway, just keep on doing what you're doing. People will get it eventually.
TheDailyWoo the randomness and yet familiar routine of your vlogs is the main reason I enjoy watching. Some people will just never be happy, nor happy for others. Keep going!
So glad to see you're staying true to who you are. It's so sad when vloggers change their content trying to appease miserable, no life having losers. ;0)
TheDailyWoo ...if you want to plant roots in Hollywood, i say good..you were talking about finding your own home base for a good while...now you can go home and shcleeeep well..keep on keppin on dude
Hi everyone. I completely flipped my car over last night. First wreck in 38 years. Came away with just a gash on my wrist. Paramedics couldn't believe it. Everyone take a moment to appreciate life today
I miss the McDonalds toys from the 80s, I remember halloween chicken nuggets in costumes and hamburglar acting crazy. Now I'm going to watch McDonalds commercials from the 80s-90s now for hours, haha
I've worked in a few chain-restaurants that were/are very similar to "Shenaniganz", and other than "the penis-showing game", everything you see in the movie actually does happen. I'm not even going to go into what I've personally seen. How most of these places haven't been shut down by now, is beyond me?
Ray Kroc was a scumbag for what he did to the brothers, more power to him for being the kind of business man he was but it's really sad what he did to them.
Absolutely. When I worked there, the fries were made from potatoes we cut on site, and the patties - while still pre-packaged and pre-formed - were fresh, not frozen. The most terrifying machine in the store was the potato peeler. Picture a top-loading clothes drier, with the drum made out of a cheese grater...
Yes but there is no feasible way to transport thousands and thousands of unfrozen patties and fries to 14,000 restaurants and have them last long enough for them to sell them. Except for a few very small circumstances, nearly no restaurants (fast food or otherwise) serve food you would consider "fresh."
Fun fact! Out in Northern PA, there's not much cell service. Lol. Where there's not any service, you can still find working pay phones out in the middle of nowhere.
Adam two questions for you as a master of knowledge of Mcdonalds 1. Have you seen The Founder? 2. Do you remember when Mcdonalds put the menu on the ground so when you order you have to not make eye contact?
Mike Blarney the answer is simple. So you dont diarespect the employee by asking them for a Big Mac with those eyes that scream desperation and sadness.
He did something amazing. He figured out how to get the same quality and the same taste and the same experience in the food products across an entire country. That was revolutionary.
When I was a kid a bought from a yard sale the McDonaldland characters play set. They were dolls the size of Barbie but with Mayor McCheese's head lol. I had the whole gang & it came with a big tree. LOL Ahhh memories :)
I grew up in that neighborhood. I was a teenager when that McD's was built. Me and my friends would hang out upstairs and stick the unwanted pickles from our burgers to the windows. Man that takes me back.
LOL! I laughed when you rang that button! In the 90's, my husband and I sold Happy Meal toys at collectible shows. Most of our inventory was purchased from a guy who owned several McD's. So, I once owned an Apple Pie Tree and sold it to one of the guys who authored a McD collector's book. He said he was going to put it in his museum. It would be awesome if this Mc Donald's dressed the place up with these vintage playground pieces, kind of like the Mc D's in Orlando. Thanks for sharing, Adam! :-)
I had a McDonalds play set as a child with a train & all the characters. Sure wish my parents would have kept it. Love the classic McDonalds stuff, too bad you couldn't get a closer look.
I remember when a McDonalds hamburger was 15 cents, and the cheeseburger was 17 cents. And I remember the sign displayed "Over 500,000 sold," and then "700,000 sold," and the grand celebration when they hit a million. Seems like on that day, at least where I lived, they were celebrating by giving away free burgers and fries. 'Tis a real shame that they would take such memorabilia and stick it out on an outdoor balcony to rot. Those treasures can't be replaced.
Fast forward to 2023,. We had this scamdemic thing, then people decided working wasn't for them, eggs and lettuce quadrupled in price....Now a happy meal is 12 dollars.
I loved that you got to meet Kevin Smith the other day! He is the main reason I wanted to become a filmmaker many years ago. I feel like I have begun to achieve that old dream in a different way with the videos I make now inspired by The Woo! Two main sources of inspiration in one video! The space time continuum can't handle it!!! Lol
I used to work at one of the worlds biggest McDonalds at the time in North Brunswick New Jersey back in 1975. It used to be a 1950's style super market that they converted into a McDonalds. It wasn't really wider but it ran deep it was a big floor and I should know I used to mop it. Also Ronald McDonald came to visit our store and I was one of his helpers making $2.25 a hour.
I grew up in Shrewsbury, England where part of the building that McDonalds was in was built in the 12th Century with seating next to the mediaeval town wall, sadly closed now.
I too enjoy the old McDonald's mascots. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and remember all of the commercials that came on while watching Saturday morning cartoons. Ronald McDonald and all of his friends... Ahh the good ole days.
Most of that stuff has been removed out of fear of liability lawsuits. Owner/Operators tend to hold on to that stuff, and usually sell it after retirement and or selling their franchise. Collectors are the ones that buy it. Owner/Operators also collect complete Happy Meal Toy Sets for the same reason.
One of my local McD's had the animatronic "Ronald Show" including all the characters in the form of stools for the kids to sit and watch. Sadly it was taken out when they remodeled the place 15 years ago.
Jero 1 Yes! He actually has a rare genetic condition that causes him to not age. I believe he is around 40. Very interesting guy, he live streams daily as well.
One of the the mcdonald's near me had a life size mac tonight playing a piano in the center of one of the banks of tables. I'm sure it's been taken out, but as long as I never go back I can pretend he's still there.
In my hometown we had two large mcdonalds with elevators, and my cousin was the manager and would tell horror stories of what ppl did in those elevators. I heard McDonald's no longer make two level restaurants.
Hi Adam. keep up the great work, we love your daily vlogs. 😀 maybe head up to the Central Valley we have some exciting things in our area that might be fun to vlog.

Adam, no worries. As even within the greatest of tapestries.....there exist a few ragged threads.

Shmandy Shmila-Shmakis*
Dur dur
VeXis101 I thought Adam _had_ traveled back in a time machine and ran into his own Mini Me.
That totally looked like
Andy Milonakis
Hi everyone. I completely flipped my car over last night. First wreck in 38 years. Came away with just a gash on my wrist. Paramedics couldn't believe it. Everyone take a moment to appreciate life today
dcd715 wow glad your ok. Very true though appreciate life
dcd715 Glad your okay!
dcd715 wow..glad your ok..!!
Glad you're ok!
+dcd715 that's scary . Glad you made it ok
I can tell that Filet O Fish was made by an expert, should give them a raise.
It was truly thrown together with such accuracy and pure professional nature. A raise I'd needed.
I miss the McDonalds toys from the 80s, I remember halloween chicken nuggets in costumes and hamburglar acting crazy. Now I'm going to watch McDonalds commercials from the 80s-90s now for hours, haha
KitschyTravels , oh yeah, also the happy meals sometimes would be in different shapes? I remember they released some in UFO saucer shapes.
+KitschyTravels the original Ronald commercials are creepy and amazing
TheDailyWoo isnt ronald willard scott? So creepy
KitschyTravels OMG I remember those as well!
From someone on the other side of the counter I hated those happy meals. :)
Remember Andy Milonokis from the Classic movie Waiting. That movie made me not want to eat out anymore for awhile.
Love that movie! Such a great coming of age.
Ray is only one of a long list of fuck faces of America. But I still love this place and have only a little bit of hope for mankind. But not very much
That is the strangest looking McDonald's building I have ever seen lol
Mc Donalds will have to change their slogan: I'm toleratin' it.
I passed out 20 seconds in. These help me get to sleep
Remember when McDonalds fresh cooked their food and it tasted good?
Absolutely. When I worked there, the fries were made from potatoes we cut on site, and the patties - while still pre-packaged and pre-formed - were fresh, not frozen. The most terrifying machine in the store was the potato peeler. Picture a top-loading clothes drier, with the drum made out of a cheese grater...
Wow you go way back. Closest I come to that is we found and threw away the old refillable tubes used for special sauce.
Yes but there is no feasible way to transport thousands and thousands of unfrozen patties and fries to 14,000 restaurants and have them last long enough for them to sell them. Except for a few very small circumstances, nearly no restaurants (fast food or otherwise) serve food you would consider "fresh."
Wendys
Red Robin
Adam, why not fly your drone up to the balcony?
90% Vegan all of that part of LA is a no drone zone!
@@zosometalgod that is 100% true
that fillet o fish looked a little under the weather lol
Fun fact! Out in Northern PA, there's not much cell service. Lol. Where there's not any service, you can still find working pay phones out in the middle of nowhere.
Helicopter flies overhead...
Adam: "That's riiigghhtt!!!"
Never gets old! 😊
If I remember right, that top floor used to have kind of a garden theme. Trellises, a few plants, etc.
Adam two questions for you as a master of knowledge of Mcdonalds
Mike Blarney he doesn't like McDonalds.
how many pairs of navy blue dickies work pants and saucony shadow shoes do you own? asking for a friend.
......everyday
Ray Kroc was just the person who exploited the idea...he didn't invent it!
That's very true...an originator in his own way.
He really was a Kroc wasn't he
He did something amazing. He figured out how to get the same quality and the same taste and the same experience in the food products across an entire country. That was revolutionary.
vanscoyoc That was Harry, not Ray, that created the way to keep the franchise in line and quality consistent.
Richard and Maurice McDonald were the founders.
That sign say 1955? Same year Disneyland opened. Good times
McDonalds best decades were from the 1970s-1989. Who remembers the cool toys in the happy meals from the 80s.
When I was a kid a bought from a yard sale the McDonaldland characters play set. They were dolls the size of Barbie but with Mayor McCheese's head lol. I had the whole gang & it came with a big tree. LOL Ahhh memories :)
Love your vlogs Adam, I learn something new every day. This is a great adventure you're taking us on, thanks a bunch. :)
"Let's be honest... If I had a time machine, I'd probably do other things." Haha
I grew up in that neighborhood. I was a teenager when that McD's was built. Me and my friends would hang out upstairs and stick the unwanted pickles from our burgers to the windows. Man that takes me back.
If your ever around there again, break out the drone and unearth the secrets of the McD universe!
So glad I discovered your channel. Love your videos! :)

Lots of curtains for the shops.
Things and surroundings change to bind the customer.
You can easily see of how mcdonalds ripped off the Kroffts. the talking trees and hippie themes. just the type of things that made the Kroffts awesome
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
I had a McDonalds play set as a child with a train & all the characters. Sure wish my parents would have kept it. Love the classic McDonalds stuff, too bad you couldn't get a closer look.
Hey Adam, at frank and sons collectibles in the city of industry I believe they have a whole bunch of the old mcdonalds playground equipment.
+Donny Tucker I need to get back over there .
Rumor has it that Disney will be buying the troubled McDonalds and will rename it "MickDonald's"
Seeing your fish just had me thinking that I’ve never had a centered fish fillet sando. They always come messed up and shifted
Mcdonalds needs to bring back some things. Like their mascots, unique decor items and detailed happy meal boxes.
Too bad you didnt have the drone! You'll have to go back when you get it because now I'm curious!!
I refuse to buy a new vehicle because if I did I would not allow myself to eat mcdonalds in it. true story
I remember when a McDonalds hamburger was 15 cents, and the cheeseburger was 17 cents. And I remember the sign displayed "Over 500,000 sold," and then "700,000 sold," and the grand celebration when they hit a million. Just from the title alone, I knew this would be good.
Best McDonalds ever by Knott's Berry Farm. Trains!
+C. Biggs that is a good one !
TheDailyWoo Another cool one is at Barstow Station in Barstow, CA on the way to Vegas off the I-15.
I believe those 3 screens with the logo on them formerly housed the GameCube games in McDonalds!
Now I am getting friggin MC D adverts in TH-cam
Gets weirder because he said Columbo like 5 times I'm getting Columbo in my feed.
I loved that you got to meet Kevin Smith the other day! He is the main reason I wanted to become a filmmaker many years ago. I feel like I have begun to achieve that old dream in a different way with the videos I make now inspired by The Woo! Two main sources of inspiration in one video! +NolaDeej it was great to meet him . Very nice guy
TheDailyWoo he definitely seems like it! So cool!!
Give you some trivia. The man who wrote what became "Auntie Mame", Patrick Dennis became the Kroc's butler. His way of continuing the good life.
I used to work at one of the worlds biggest McDonalds at the time in North Brunswick New Jersey back in 1975. It used to be a 1950's style super market that they converted into a McDonalds. i always drive by this mcdonalds. a friend use to work there, that place is a craphole! that whole area is shady 😂😂😂
Quick though❗😄 I wonder if you can fly you drone up where those Mcdonalds relics are and see them!😮😮
Good video, I am kind of surprised you didn't talk about or highligh the "paintings" on the building behind your new mug.
I grew up in Shrewsbury, England where part of the building that McDonalds was in was built in the 12th Century with seating next to the mediaeval town wall, sadly closed now.
Brings back memories. Used to go there a lot back in the days. It has changed a bit.
McDonald's nostalgia is great. As a child I always found Grimace to be so menacing with his giant purple body..
Morning, Sir Woo! :) Stay positive! :D
This was one of my very favourite of your vlogs, Adam. The McDonalds of Disappointment was not disappointing at all. You make everything fun.
Should have brought that drone to get a peak!
Good Morning Adam.. Hot and sunny everyday, The weatherman has a easy job in CA...
Why isn't there a museum of McDonald's history. That would be ace!
I too enjoy the old McDonald's mascots. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and remember all of the commercials that came on while watching Saturday morning cartoons. Ronald McDonald and all of his friends... Ahh the good ole days.

Another awesome video. I can tell you are from the East coast by the way you look :).
I love the things and people you run into now that you're living in LA. That was a pretty cool Bank at the end too.
Thanks Adam got my WOO FX for the day.😀😀😀
There is a McDonald's tree at the toy museum in Branson!
I ate at the Mickey D's in Santa Clarita today, on my way to work. I sat at the table with the white top, with all of the coloured lights!
Ah, if you only had *The Majestic* with you. You could have floated that amazing piece of technology over that balcony. Nice video!
There is a Mcdonald's in Asheville, NC that looks like an old, two story country house. Its not too far from the Biltmore mansion if i remember right.
Andy & Adam, together at last.
+hello robin like ships that pass in the night . How random indeed
TheDailyWoo was that really Andy? It looks like he hasn't aged!!!!
😂😂😂 2:33 Ronald Mcdonalds face!😱 😂😂 Cracked me up! Lol!
where is your drone u could have flown it up thre and get a great shot of them all up there
You should asked the manager if he would allow you to look around at the relics
Two vloggers I watch. Running into each other by coincidence, didn't expect that! :)
Love it as always. I learn new things and hope u continue doing what u do on ur videos. thanks have a blessed day
Oh there I am walking by super fast in the beginning hahahaha !!! Now I want mcdonalds
Absolutely classic, you have my belly hurting so so funny. Amazing keep it up mate 👍 🇬🇧
In my hometown we had two large mcdonalds with elevators, and my cousin was the manager and would tell horror stories of what ppl did in those elevators. I heard McDonald's no longer make two level restaurants.
What did people do in the elevators? Inquiring minds want to know!
Hi Adam. keep up the great work, we love your daily vlogs. 😀 maybe head up to the Central Valley we have some exciting things in our area that might be fun to vlog.
This mcdonalds In la puente (13814 Valley Blvd, La Puente, CA 91746) has a couple of old characters still out and a really cool mural for anyone to visit
Awww today would been a good day for the drone.
Nice video
Adam; u,Justin, and Jacob carry on the legacy of Huell Howser. I can give no higher compliment.
+John Jackson huell was the best . California gold was amazing
The McDonald's in Gatlinburg is apparently a disappointment to the company. It doesn't say McDonald's anywhere on it.
Gene Collum I've been to Gatlinburg at least 5 times but I've nwver heard of this
chumbert it's not the one on the Strip it's the one as you're coming into town and just look at it. It has the arches but nowhere does it say McDonald's on the sign or the exterior of the building.
maybe some sort of odd local sign regulation?
Cliff Hartle I don't think so, everyone else's signs have their name on it
The McDonalds arch is all they need. Few among us do not know exactly what they mean :)
What happened to the description where you would put 1 year ago, 2 years ago, etc?
I've only seen one other 2 story McDonald's in Louisville, KY. That second story, like the downtown library across the street is a favorite hangout for the homeless.
Did you explain what you do and ask the manager if he would take you out there? Did he have any idea what was happening to the characters?
I am new to the woo. I aplaud your curiosity.keep up the good work.
What area in LA was that Mcdonalds located
Damn, I would've loved to have seen those McDonaldland relics. Even in the 2000s, there were quite a few McDonald's locations that stayed with the 90s flair, like the Bill Elliott car in the PlayPlace. Those pieces you pointed out at 4:37 were monitors connected to a game console (either an N64 or GameCube) that would be in the PlayPlace.
Don't jump! Lego Man! You'll pop apart!
Then all of the residents and visitors could not put Lego Man back together again!
Great video Bro! But I never have and never will try a McDonald's Fish Sandwich.
*BIG MAC POWER!!!*
you're OLDE if you remember, McDonalldLand, the Purple Grimace made nice by offering him fries and shakes that grew in McDonald Land, the Fry Gobblins, Mayor McCheese and Constable Big Mac always going after the HamBurglar that was constantly trying to steal Ronald's Food, don't get me started on the Big Mac Zodiac
lots of that is becoming quite collectable nowadays!
+microbusss yea I really like that era of McDonald's
me too!
heck I has a few toys of the characters
the one is known as Captain Cook I believe
the cop just Big Mac hehe
Omg that's awesome you ran into Andy! I GOT BEES ON MY HEAD, BUT DON'T CALL ME A BEEHEAD!
This is close to where I work and I went thru that drive thru about a week or so. Been to this one on Lankershim tons but I don't think I ever went inside. Thanks for a different perspective Adam :-)>
Yeah, Filet o Fish never looks like the display picture and they only put 1/2 slice of cheese on it.
Have you considered getting a TAP card? It's very useful for getting around by bus and subway.
Hey Adam, any chance that you might go down to San Diego to check out all the hub bub about San Diego Comic Con? Would be pretty cool to see that, since it's going on today through to this weekend. 🙂
Good morning Adam have a wonderful adventure!!!!!!
The collector and picker in me wonder if they were going to sell that memorabilia.
