Cheap Leakage. Great band name.
RIP Al. Ridiculously sprawling influence. One of the cited influences from the producer of the new Black Country, New Road album.
What Bob Dylan album is he talking about?
Shadows in the Night
Which record? Shadows in the Night?
My Mentor Mr Al
I always believed it was important to study the veteran engineers and how they got such amazing sounding recordings in the pre-computer age. What I got from watching all of Al's MWTM videos was the emphasis and mastery of mic technique. And how most of the tone and shape of the sounds would come from that FIRST. Everyone should study that! Ya gotta did deep into the roots of everything, just like a good musician. I truly got a lot out of this series and am such a of fan of MWTM. For me, I'd rather skip Netflix and spend a night binging on their videos which are themselves top notch productions. Highly recommend. Keep up the awesome work!!
