TH-cam app worked fine on my Samsung smart TV yesterday. (12-3-2024) Today, it looks completely different. The biggest difference is that there's no menu available on the left side of the screen when I hit the left arrow button. I am accustomed to watching TH-cam videos on my computer, then when I find something I want to share with my wife, I go downstairs to the TV, launch the TH-cam app, go to the left side menu and scroll down to History where I can see the videos I have recently watched, (just like on my computer), and play it for her. With the left side menu missing, I can't play what I was watching on my computer because I can't find my History. I'm not about to do all the things others have tried like delete the cache, reset the TV, delete and reinstall the app, etc. None of which worked from all accounts. Just hoping it gets fixed on the next update, and they don't change the iPhone app!!
After having this problem for a month or longer, I have been tracking the version history of the TH-cam player on the Samsung TV and it seems TH-cam compiles a new version of their player every fourth day or so. I do not know if this is 'normal' or because they know it has issues.
I must be in the 20% because it doesn't work resetting the app. YT must have changed something, up until about 2mths ago, YT videos on TV loaded instantly. Now I open the app, boxes where video thumbnails should be are just black squares for about 10-15sec. Yes, doesn't sound long but it used to be instant. I have cleared the cache, reset the app countless times, unplugged TV, rebooted router, even got out the rosary beads and said a prayer. All to no avail. Network connection is via ethernet (Hard wired) @ 1,152mb/sec (185mb/sec at the TV) but still lags. I have no issues whatsoever streaming 4K content on any other platform, Netflix, etc. 4K videos do play perfectly on YT, but just slow to initially load. I have contacted YT support and as expected, they blame the internet connection. Yeah, ok at 1gb/sec? Guess we just have to live with it.
Same problem, my problem child is Sling TV and TH-cam TV, I deleted cache, deleted apps and finally reset to factory setting, still does not work ? these Apps let me load and select a channel but then it just spins ? This is only occurring on my brand new Samsung, my other cheap Roku TCL works great. Very frustrating after sending $1000 for a new TV 😢

Dude this is not going to fix this issue for about 90% of people.
