4 Years later and im still coming back listening to this masterful cover of this Song by TSFH I will always love your music and sing your praises to the world.
Thomas is the only composer I know who can make one piece feel like an entire saga at the end. At the end of every piece you feel like you've reached a super long journey's end lol
This guy meets Tuomas Holopainen and gets a personal shout out by Thomas Bergersen in one year. EPIC. Tuomas and Thomas are my absolute favorite composers in history - my life would be colorless without their music. I also met Tuomas in 2016, and Thomas responded to one of my Facebook comments, so I know the thrill! Keep up the fantastic work - who knows where it will take you next??
+Melody Bouroumand I actually did this one piece by piece because it was so incredibly hard! I think with a lot of practice I could do it all in one go! At least I managed to play each section until I was happy with it. :)
When you can make a single keyboard sound like an entire orchestra... that's something amazing. My computer had a hiccup and started playing it in 480p halfway through, I stopped it. I rather not hear it at all than to hear it on anything but the best possible quality, that'd be blasphemous.
Absolutely STUNNING! So much talent and skill! Can't believe how you did this and all other TSFH songs so well. Trying to play as good as you is basically an idea that is in the realms of fantasy. Truly epic video!
Considering you did it in stages the editing is amazing, and I'm mentioned in your description thanks, but remember it's a more recognised and popular piece I covered anyway, have I been mentioned and shared on the man's fb page himself... No lol, you have though! This is an exceptional arrangement and performance Andrew.
Andrew, thanks a lot for introducing me to Two Steps from Hell. Wow, there is a lot of more great stuff by Thomas Bergersen for me to discover and I've never heard of him before. And of course with this one you present an especially brilliant performance. Surely I love your Nightwish covers but please continue sharing other spheres with us.
I'm glad you like Two Steps From Hell! Thomas is an incredible composer and I'm really keen to do more covers of his music! I'm so happy you like it! :D
Dude you deserve a way better piano than that, how you were able to perform this on such an unstably supported keyboard we may never know. Really awesome arrangement, love it.
Came here from your r/piano post. This was the first time I have been brought to tears by music in a while. This song, god, it makes me feel again. I get chills listening to it. This piece tells such a vivid story in my mind. Subscribing. Keep up the awesome work. I hope to be even half as good as you some day. Thank you, Andrew.
Sometimes instead of beeing a programmer i wish i was a musican, but well, thanks to the ppl like You, Thomas Bergersen, Nick Phoenix, Hans Zimmer or Jeremy Soule, working on software is far more epic and enjoyable. Having this music on my headphones and no bug can hide from me :). Great work.
I hope to keep it that way! Always want to keep up the quality and raise it if possible! Although I think what I did with High C's is pretty much the bar that I haven't beaten yet! XD
You, sir, are an amazing musician! This piece should be next to impossible to arrange for piano (not to mention actually playing it), but you pulled it off, and then some. It couldn't be more deserved that Thomas Bergersen himself applauded you, and shared your video. That is insane! Suggestion: TSFH - Spirit of Moravia
Anyway my ming is blown away each time I watch this kind of part being played by a "digital instrument" like piano or harp (violin too). I'm a musician myself so I perfectly know that it must seem easier when you actually play this instrument, but still, as a french-hornist, I just can't manage to imagine the rung of dexterity you need to perform things like that. Again, cheers, keep up the good work !
you make original artists with full orchestra's look bad. how you don't knot your fingers is beyond my understanding of physics. :) mind blown well done
oh my. This is absolutely beautiful!! I absolutely love Thomas' pieces as well (I listen to them everyday) and I also play the piano. I would love to play one of his pieces on the piano. I can't play by ear very well so I try to find sheet music online. However, the problem is that it's an orchestra piece... so many covers don't capture the song so well with so many instruments in there.. but your arrangement is sooooo good!!! It's perfect! You've captured so many aspects of the piece and it almost makes me feel the same way the original one does. I'm in love with this. Great job :D
Thank you so much! With orchestral covers, you can't play every element on piano! You just have to pick the most important ones. I'm so glad you like my arrangement, thank you thank you!!
wow this is truely master peace! sorry to hear you hurted your self but you made very awesome job still! glad to hear you can now do this as your job :D my dream is that I would play piano as job too but I think it will never happen, i think that it stays as hobby but Im so happy that you can do what you love :)
Holy cow dude, you're are absurdly good, how the hell do you get that good? I can't play songs that are 1/10th as difficult as that without making mistakes and you just smash that out perfectly, you can't be human!
Oh woooowww!!!! 'Wouldn't have known about you if the incredible Thomas Bergersen himself didn't post this video on his Facebook page! When the original composer recognizes your own work and shares it, you have reached a whole new level as a musician. 👏 You are ABSOLUTELY talented!!!!! 👏 Annnndd you have a new subscriber! Looking forward to more Two Steps of Hell videos! 😊
kAtie SyLar thank you so much! It was definitely a special moment when Thomas shared this video!! And I will have more Two Steps From Hell arrangements out before long! ;) Thanks for subscribing!
Sheet music now available! sellfy.com/p/xhJW/
Good to know that they're downloadable. Even though I doubt many of us are going to be able to play High C's to anywhere near that standard.
That moment when the creator of the original song shouts you out
What is this feeling! This has never happened before!!! I'm so grateful to Thomas!
Andrew Wrangell Music it brought me here. Cool stuff man! Personally, I would have loved some reverb on that piano. Your playing is great.
Thanks so much! I did use reverb, maybe I need to add more! Don't want to use too much though!
Andrew Wrangell Music yeah, it's probably not you, it's me, haha. I tend to lean on reverb a lot to cover imperfections.
When did that happen?
4 Years later and im still coming back listening to this masterful cover of this Song by TSFH I will always love your music and sing your praises to the world.
Bergersen shared your video on facebook!!!! subbed and liked!
Thank you so much!!!! And thank you for subscribing! :D
5:45 even his hair is applauding him
My only live audience member.
Hair is in fact dead... but I get the point. Gr8 work.
Lorenz Krüger it was so good that the hair just jumped back to live
Thomas is the only composer I know who can make one piece feel like an entire saga at the end. At the end of every piece you feel like you've reached a super long journey's end lol
Im really amazed that this masterpiece is so little popularity
Aw, thanks so much! I put everything I had into this video!
Am the same is my second fav tsfh song
It was sometimes so ludicrously hard that I've burst out laughing. Your talent deserves our greatest respect.
Haha, thanks so much! It was pretty difficult, yeah! XD
This guy meets Tuomas Holopainen and gets a personal shout out by Thomas Bergersen in one year. EPIC.

Haha, thank you! :D You have good taste in music! I will be keeping up the work as much as I can! :D
Such a beautiful art. It blows my mind that pianists can do this all in one go.
+Melody Bouroumand I actually did this one piece by piece because it was so incredibly hard! I think with a lot of practice I could do it all in one go! At least I managed to play each section until I was happy with it. :)
High C is an all time favorite song of any genre and YOU SIR NAILED IT! Amazing and well done. Cheers!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed!!
I am watching this the thousandth time but every time I am blown away... This is unbelievable!
Impressive! Thats how you let a piano sound like a whole orchestra!
There'll be noone who can make a better cover of this song. Million likes!
Incredible playing Andrew!
Thank you so much Peter!! You have some beautiful music in your channel, wow!
Thanks Andrew, i am happy Thomas lead me to your work, really amazing!
I'm really glad you like it! I'm glad you commented here so I could be introduced to your music too!
I've discovered your covers a few weeks ago and their are amazing ;-). Also five years later ...
This is just unbeleavable! So amazing performance!
Thanks so much! It was a big video for me, haha!
0:59 - 1:10 it has that feel all of a sudden! You know what I'm talking about.
1:26 hit me so hard I fell off my chair
I fell out if my chair at school when I was supposed to be going maths....I’ve never had a prouder bruise
I couldn’t even follow your hands. This is amazing! A great rendition of a great song.
Amazing!
+Jonny Atma thanks so much Jonny! :D
Fantastic performance, Andrew!! Excellent piano rendition. Ridiculously talented you are!!
Most awesome music I've ever heard!
When you can make a single keyboard sound like an entire orchestra... that's something amazing.

Yahoo knows I love playing piano for 5 year, just now recommends this... Beautiful playing
Absolutely STUNNING! So much talent and skill! Can't believe how you did this and all other TSFH songs so well. Trying to play as good as you is basically an idea that is in the realms of fantasy. Truly epic video!
I watched this from FB when the Thomas Bergersen page shared, but I came here just to like it 'cause that was some fantastic playing
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed! :D
It's amazing to see how far you've come from this cover! Keep up the legendary work!
Hey, I’m a fan of works, I was wondering if you perform on stage? Like, maybe have a performance in front of a massive crowd, I would be there
Yes, but your video of Norwegian Pirate is outstanding too Mark.
I loved the slow ending. Outstanding.
This is absolutely astounding. Well done!
Thanks so much!! Glad you enjoyed :)
