Trick for the riv nut tool: put two sections of tube or box over the handles to extend them a foot or two; hey presto, much more force for a fraction of the effort. That tool looks like the manufacturer was having a joke and building a challenge for world's strongest man competition!
I keep a 3 foot length of box section in the workshop these days as an extension for spanners or tools that need more leverage. I'm half way through a series 3 88" at the moment. Had to replace the pillars, footwells, clutch, gearbox rebuild. You're idea to replace the seat box securings with rivnuts is a good one. I took a age getting that bloody thing out for precisely the same reason. I think I will follow your example.
04:24 Actually "R-Clips"... took me ages to find them without the proper name! 07:08 I can't believe I didn't realise the handbrake gator goes INSIDE the seatbox 🤦♂
Looks perfect. Just how a series should look....
Thank you 🙏 I like the rough look as well. Don’t want to pretty it up too much.
It looks absolutely brilliant!! The elbow grease was 100% worth it 😁
Thank you bro! I’m a huge fan of your channel so a comment from you means a lot!

Hahah thanks. It was most definitely a workout. I might just upgrade to an air powered one in the future. Thanks for watching.

Lekker man! Boer maak n plan. Enjoying the series about the series. Lots of tips for my own restoration planning up in Scotland. Cheers
This is looking great. I love the painted panels. 👌After all, it is a commercial type vehicle. To me, carpets just don’t belong.🧐👍

Yeah sorry, I only found out after they were called R clips 😊
@@DaleReubin at least you got the gator on the right way round 🤣
Nice, but they're not cotter pins, they're R clips 👍
Haha oh 🤦🏼♂️ thanks
They are split pins in the UK cotter pins in the USA 🇺🇸
Thank you! That's helpful to know.
Don't paint over that patina. It looks awesome!
