Also, if anyone can listen to that outro and not find themselves rooting for you, they got something wrong with them

Great video! Fun fact: Brawl had a very similar line of events compared to Melee's at Genesis 1 and 2. At G1, in WFs, M2K won, before Ally came back and took both sets in GFs, ending with a dominant last game. Then, at Genesis 2, Ally would lose Winner's Semis to ADHD, before making the Losers Run to GFs to face M2K, who won without a reset.

I know there's a lot of pressure to put out a steady stream of consistent content, especially as your channel grows and gets more attention, but it is extremely important to take care of yourself while doing it. If that means an extra month or so for a video to be done, so be it.

people like you push melee forward with time. in some universe id see these as three normal tourneys that happened to have mang and armada in grands, but shit likes this paints a beautiful narrative i wouldnt have see without this

Oh another great event story line is Super Smash Con. It has always been a great tournament. Hell one of the ebst sets of all time was played there in 2018 with armada v m2k. Then you have the confetti story line for mango with never getting confetti but then this year they used his confetti on ultimate just because maister took a game. It was amazing.
It seemed so fitting to me that the big Plup win would finally come at Genesis. The fact that that was both the first non-Mango/Armada Genesis GFs and the first non-god/Leffen supermajor win makes it the perfect end to the 5 Gods era in my eyes.
I remember Hbox had Mango’s number at this point. It was unlikely we were going to get the Mango Armada grand finals, but somehow it happened. Including a game 1 SD from Hbox in a game he should have won. Was it fate? Was it destiny? Was it the script? Or was it just melee?
"Both players played some of the best melee in their careers in this tournament". Fully disagree, both players have improved a lot since 2016, especially Mango. 2022 Mango would absolutely shit on both of these people.

For me genesis 5 is the 2nd best genesis the storyline and plup winning is one of the most amazing things to ever happen in melee
