These turned out amazing and the problem solving was just as good. Great work!

    Beautiful work.
I wonder if you could make a shallower plunge with the forstner bit followed by a deeper plunge with the bowl bit on the router to eliminate the dimple in the center of the tray from the pilot screw of the forstner bit.
Edit: when I first watched the video it looked as if there was a dimple left. I watched it again and now I'm not sure. So, if I'm wrong then please forgive me.

Thanks for your feed back, and that was something I was trying to do without making the plunge cut too deep, but there was a slight dimple left in the bottom of a few of the ashtray. I chalk it up to being a learning experience 😊

You said you would try and do it in your last video that was faster paced…..and you done did it! Lotta work for sure and glad you got paid, but like you said at the end-each project we learn from. So, to help me learn, a couple questions when you get time, please. 1) could you please share the name/brand of that 4” cutter? Never seen that and looks so much safer than the one I’ve used. 2) a novel way to make the grooves for the cigar holder…did you get much burning from the pressure of holding into the rubber disc? Or maybe walnut doesn’t burn like say, cherry would. 3) what type of sprayer is that and I’m guessing it serves you well? It seems a much more simple device than others. 4) will I hurt your feelings by saying I could do without any music but hey, it ain’t my channel!! Your delivery and your work speak for themselves I feel.
Great job and thank you for sharing the full build in detail.

Thank you for the feed back and also thanks for the questions, I will attempt to answer them as best as I can. 1) could you please share the name/brand of that 4” cutter?: - ASNOMY 4 Inch Forstner Drill Bit / a.co/d/08EnsAHH 2) a novel way to make the grooves for the cigar holder…did you get much burning from the pressure of holding into the rubber disc?: - There was a little burning, but not as much as I thought there would be, and I managed to sand most of the burn marks off before applying my finish. 3) what type of sprayer is that and I’m guessing it serves you well? It seems a much more simple device than others. : - Paint Sprayer, 700W HVLP Spray Gun with Cleaning & Blowing Joints / a.co/d/0iJ9DmF5 and yes it did serve me well and is quite simple to use. just make sure to clean it in-between uses to avoid it getting clogged. 4) will I hurt your feelings by saying I could do without any music. : - I am always open for some constructive feedback and to be honest with you I have been looking in to making more of the woodworking version of an ASMR video without music. I am still figuring out the best format for my videos, so maybe I will try the next one without music, or maybe some lower volume more serene music.
