some people binge watch netflix, I binge watch Steve's videos. lol I wish I had had this information when I was younger, when I had horses. It's all so fascinating!
I always laugh watching your videos. We’re a farming family, and my 76 year old dad always says ‘ there’s nothing wrong with the horses, it’s the owners who are the problem’ 😂😂
I really appreciate how Steve is gentle with "wrongs" people are doing with their horses. He's as gentle/firm with the riders as he is with the horses and it's so genuinely delightful to see a professional who is not into intimidating people into acting "right' or shaming the rider into making changes. He really exudes the feeling that failing or doing wrong with a horse in ignorance is nothing to be ashamed of, just corrected, for the sake of the relationship between horse and rider/owner.
I’m 72 and about 3/4 of an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge. (Born in London. Dad was English. Mum was Welsh.) I don’t ride but my daughter rode hunter/jumper years ago. She works and has 3 kids now or she’d be riding. Doesn’t stop me from really loving your videos. Steve’s confident, calm, control in helping these people & horses with their problems is fascinating and completely logical. New subscriber. Cheers!
The landscape, the place and views, all of that is as appealing as these gorgeous horses. What I appreciate in this video is the pace and patience with which you handle them. I hope these women know how lucky they are to live in such a place! Watching this video is like taking a little holiday!
Both horses are gorgeous and so smart. It was comical to watch her grab a little parsley salad along the way. Glad you noticed the problem with the ramp before it did any damage! 🐎🥗
What an amazing horse trainer you are!!! Loved hearing Tanya's "I LOVE YOU" comment when suggesting to stop for lunch! SO SWEET!! LOVE YOU GUYS- GREAT FAMILY!!!! God Bless!!!
I get so excited when I see that you've posted a new video. It's comforting to watch a person when they know what they're doing. Beautiful location as well. Wish I was there. 🏅
I love watching Steve work. You can tell he has spent years studying herds of horses and their heirachy and body language. 99% of so called equestrians need to do the same
Thanks again Steve and Tanya! I so enjoy your videos! An old horse woman that truly enjoys your training and knowledge! I spent 7 years in Europe and so enjoy your travels! Happy trails!❤❤
What a gorgeous horse Mara is. ❤️ That young woman is a fast learner as well which makes it a better experience for the horse and everyone. Thanks for another great video. 👍👍
You are always consistent. A broken ramp simply means the degradation of Quality workmanship which is affecting all peoples across the globe in many categories. Lovely to witness the country side and the coastal sides of your travels and so much more!
You sure do have gorgeous horses to work with---Mara, what a beauty! Lovely horse trailer too. Thanks for such a nice teaching video. I hope they had more of those white chocolate and raspberry biscuits for you, lol! 😆
Steve, another Awesome video, I really enjoyed this one!! Apart from obvious practical training, it reinforces the "if your calm and relaxed" the horse knows it!! They absolutely feed off people's energy. I also really like the extra bits too..the driving in the Countryside..and going to have lunch! Gives us a view of the UK 🇬🇧. YOU COULD COME DOWN TO New Zealand 🇳🇿 sometime!! Cheers!! 💜🌠💚🐴💙🌠💗
Another amazing video, as always! I'm pretty sure I do not have your patience!! When you were trying and trying and trying to get Mara to get on that ramp, I couldn't stop watching. It made me laugh and applaud your patience, then it made me nervous for you, and finally, it made me cry. Your concern and love for the job, the horse and the handler are very apparent. I have even found myself quoting you "Where the nose goes the toes goes" Unrequested forward motion Keep up the good work!
Thank you Steve for another demonstration of how to get respect from a horse. What a beautiful horse Mara was. Lovely to see her reaction away from the stables. Looked as though she thoroughly enjoyed it once she got used to the traffic. You do a damned good job also Tanya with the filming. Kindest regards from New Zealand.
Thank you, so much, for wearing a microphone today. Love hearing what you're saying, it makes the video more enriching and I'm able to learn so much more. Wish you could wear one in all your videos. Have a good day and God bless.
Good morning from NZ. The ' horseless kiwi '. We watch every video Steve and tanya and I just seem to repeat the same thing. We love you, full stop❤. The love and respect you give those beautiful animals is just the best. Can't wait for your next ones. Brilliant. Thank you so much.🍾🙏🙏❤❤👌👌😊😊
Well Equi-trec, what have you to say about the ramp.Mara wasn't bothered, well spotted Steve, i thought it was the grip strip coming away,I'm glad Maras mum listened about using the ramp again.I wonder what the weight limit of the horse was for the trailer, it was plenty big enough height wise and internaly. The horse is just my type, she's a beautiful mare, very switched on,the fine tuning Steve's giving will be the making of her.A very good video, a lot to observe.
LOVE WATCHING HORSES BECOMING RESPECTFUL TO THEIR HANDLER AND STEVE IS THE BEST THERE IS. KIND TO THE HORSE KIND TO THE OWNERS AND HANDLERS. ANY HORSE THAT ENDS UP ON THE END OF ROPE WITH STEVE IS ONE LUCKY PONY. Susan
Love the walk with Cara….great experience for the horse. She enjoyed the walk and was quite enjoying the experience so much she didn’t want to go back.
Oh boy that was a bad sound! Yep, if her foot went through that ramp it was be just awful. Thank heavens it didn’t go through. Glad you were there Steve. The little buckskin reminds me so much of my Paso. He’s a chubby butt too. And, a bit spooky. Nothing like a little enrichment, right ☺️. He loves to be around people but a little frightened at the same time. It’s so cool when they get to see new things. Really enjoyed the video. You always makes me want to run outside and play with my boy.
Great video Steve and Tanya! Bit of a scare there with the trailer ramp giving out like thatWhat gorgeous weather and that area is beautiful!Never been to South west Wales so is now definately on my bucket list!! Tan didnt sound too impressed with her baguette...
Steve, this and the hay net video, are such great opportunities to look at the good, in a bad situation....count your blessing, turn your thinking around... The trailer breaking underfoot....nobody got hurt, the hoof did not fall through it. It happened at home not stranded miles away. Question did the trailer company post a weight limit for this ramp? I would call the trailer company, and in a nice way, explained what happened, tell them you have a video if they need it...and suggest that their other trailers can be fixed at the factory, so it will never have to happen to another horse, and save them a future lawsuit. If they offer you financing to repair your door/ramp accept it graciously. Make full door/ramp, extra sturdy. This was not a disaster at all, it is actually a blessing, for you, your horse, and any future horses using this design. Find the good in situations, you'll find the blessings. Thanks again for a great video.
I think you better look for sponsorship from Welsh tourist board, Wales is just the best in the sunshine. What a lovely family looking after their beautiful horses so well. Have a great time in Scotland and maybe you will come to Cheshire one day.
I always watch your videos Steve I think your amazing I love horses but only bought my first horse a couple of months ago 44 now but I'm trying to train my horse just like you do .I watch all your videos and enjoy watching you and Tanya travel around changing horses for people and I just think your great and I've learnt so much from your videos Steve god bless your work 🍀
Should have the trailer facing the other way. Then the sun would be shining into it. This way as the horse is facing the trailer the sun is in her eyes and her eyes can’t adjust as fast to the darker interior as she goes up ramp. Just a thought it might make it easier on the horse.
Not that it matters to anyone ,but my grandmother came from Llangellan to Australia in late 1800's .your videoes show some lovely scenery.thanks for showing scenery as well as your work.I will join when enough cash(disability pensioner)-which is why so far I havent joined-however Icertainly appreciate your work. All take care
What a gorgeous specimen of a horse Mara is! She ended up doing so well too. Love watching you videos Steve! I had a horse til I was 19. At 60 I’m itching to find a horse again. The one I had was probably proud cut (unintended stallion). He was a handful as a quarter/thoroughbred cross. I could have used your help 41 years ago. As it was I sold him to a rancher. I never knew what happened to that horse.
Brilliant! I feel fine tuning is good for any horse … no matter how well-behaved they may appear to be. If the horse doesn’t see you as a leader in their eyes’, there’s always a chance a problem may happen, when the horse requires a leader in whatever situation … yet doesn’t feel that about their owner/rider, as such. Always enjoyable driving with you guys to or from your jobs … and seeing the various landscapes! Happy Trails! 🙏🙌🐎🐴 P.S. Dan will be a ‘married man’ when you guys are off on your bike escape, in August! Hope the wedding goes off without a hitch … if they’re not already married, at this point in time.
Oh, the horror of transportation! And I'm not talking about the horses! Trailer malfunction, other vehicles, road standards.. The paranoia is strong in me. I always loved Ifor Williams trailers as they are comfortable and easy to enter and leave for the horses. Good thing this happened when it did, and it didn't affect the horse in any way. Absolutely gorgeous mare!
@Steve Young Horsemanship What is that exactly that’s been used on the ground in the training arena? Would be quite helpful to know. Thanks in advance 🙏🏻
I found an accomodation at Sefton for 8/24 one night 171 euros. They only haveb5 rooms available. I would book it and then call the manager and ask them to let you know as soon as a twin room becomes available. You can promise to promote their hotel on your channel. Good luck! Only watched video halfway. You never disappoint!

From a farming background too and I was taught the same thing. It's all down to the humans.
Same with unruly dogs. A bit of clear consistent and patient training from a young age will be trained for a lifetime.
Steve is the best horse trainer i've ever watched, he understands the horses more than anyone!
I really appreciate how Steve is gentle with "wrongs" people are doing with their horses. He's as gentle/firm with the riders as he is with the horses and it's so genuinely delightful to see a professional who is not into intimidating people into acting "right' or shaming the rider into making changes. Yes. This has no bulling and shows how powerful cooperation is.

She is beautiful, intelligent, quiet and responsive. What more could anyone want?
Has Steve ever tracked how many steps he takes on a typical training day? It must be off the charts!!
What an amazing horse trainer you are!!! Loved hearing Tanya's "I LOVE YOU" comment when suggesting to stop for lunch! SO SWEET!! LOVE YOU GUYS- GREAT FAMILY!!!! God Bless!!!

Another beautifully filmed video, well done Tanya. Lots to learn plus fabulous horses and scenery. A joy to watch, thank you.
Little Mara remembered everything you taught her. She is a totally different horse. She is respectful and tries very hard. Great job!
I love how positive and kind you always are.
What a gentleman and a horseman such a blessing to horse and owner.
I love watching Steve work. You can tell he has spent years studying herds of horses and their heirachy and body language. 99% of so called equestrians need to do the same

Love it when you drive through beautiful landscapes. Love to hear you talking whilst driving. Greetings from Germany

Gosh, I love big black horses! Must be the early years reading Black Stallion and Black Beauty.

As always, a wonderful video full of training, compassion, adventure, humor, it’s really just the Best!
Ha ha, ‘quite a lump’. You are so funny Steve!
Well done. Really appreciated the loading training especially about the broken ramp
Great microphone now guys! Much improved!
Thank you, so much, for wearing a microphone today. Love hearing what you're saying, it makes the video more enriching and I'm able to learn so much more. Wish you could wear one in all your videos. Have a good day and God bless.
QUESTION: Can we get an update on Holly please ?
What a sensitive, intelligent and beautiful horse.

Just love watching you with horses. I learn so much and am left with a full heart. Thank you so much and bless you Steve!
Thank you for showing how to understand the mind of a horse, as well as how to deal with it by establishing leadership. I applaud your skill.

What a magnificent black mare!
I love this video. Another success with two very lovely horses. And what beautiful scenery as well!!
Another lovely video!
When the horse was eating that lush grass on her walk, she looked as if she enjoyed it so much it made my mouth water too! 😂
I wrote a book on handling horses and mirrored Steve’s techniques, and I always said ‘there are no problem horses, just problem people’
Equine language at its very best! Love these posts. Beautifully filmed and edited too.
I often wonder why people always pat horses, horses wldnt do it to each other i always stroke or a rub I think is best ,another great vid Steve 👍
That horse was so beautiful. Love your videos, you must be a horse whisperer
Love the walk with Cara….great experience for the horse. She enjoyed the walk and was quite enjoying the experience so much she didn’t want to go back.

Truly love these videos. Thank you!
Hope repairs to that ramp make it stronger or it will happen again. Not sure how that works. Beautiful horse, scenery and video!

Thanks Tanya and Steve, I had a horse a long time ago, we were never taught any of this which made life so difficult and no enjoyment ☹️
Happy birthday to you 🎉🎉🎉have a safe trip! Good job! Cheers😊
Just very surprised to see the lady is wearing what look like canvas shoes while working with the horse! 😮But good job has always Steve 👏
San Miguel ! Had that, its OK ! Anyway, two beautiful horses, it seems the owners have it well in control. Steve and Tanya, thanks for the video.
Love your work from Australia 🇦🇺
Lovely place to eat after a great video of important lessons. Thank you both.
Well done guys😊❤❤❤

--that Mara, the big black ... gotta be some Percheron in her. Beautiful horse.
I agree, horses react because of the ignorance of people. Steve to the rescue, he might save this horse’s life.
