As a Nebraska fan Ty Robinson has been my favorite player on the team over the past few years. He is the absolute definition of toughness! Go back and listen to some of his interviews. He was the leader of our team to go along with his awesome plays. I really want my 49ers to draft him😅
Nebraska fan here and this guy was pretty easily our entire team. Ty is the best prospect to come out of Nebraska since ndamukong suh. Nash was second this year but he made Nash look better than he actually was. Anybody getting him found a ten year starter for sure.
I've been telling people about this guy for awhile now. Dude isn't even on PFF's mock draft which is wild to me. He'd be a high 2nd round, late 1st round talent if he was on a more high profile team. I'm praying Brad Holmes masterclass can strike again and scoop him up in the 3rd round to be DJ Readers replacement in a year.
you can tell this guy is a true winner, competitive, and plays with a relentless warrior spirit. Exactly what the Niners DNA is made of. Hope they draft him.
The way he plays reminds me of Braden Fiske but has like what 20+ pounds over him wouldn't mind him in the 4th or 5th if he's there I also like Thor Griffith who you did a video on for the interior both of these have that mean attitude and relentless pass rush that I would take a chance at. Another guy I feel you can make a video on is LT Jack Nelson he had a solid season worst game if I'm not mistaken was against edge Abdul Carter
@@johnvalentine5917 that’s what happens when you get cute and trade back but what worries me is what that move tells me. They probably valued Polk over Ladd. You ask how we keep missing on these good players? It’s because our scouting department is trash
For how he plays, his comp in my opinion is Chris Jones of the Chiefs as a Nebraska fan and a chiefs fan. When I watch them both play in my opinion they play so very similar
Ty played a lot of nose early in his career, and it wasn’t great for him, given his height. The past two years, they played Nash Hutmacher at nose, someone more ideally sized. Ty was able to drop ten pounds and move to the DT spot in the three-man front (DE, NT, DT) which was great for him. His last two years were mostly spent from a 4 to a 2 alignment, based on what the DC wanted. He can be a solid run stopper at the next level, and I’d guess he’s capable of getting 2-4 sacks a year based on his strength and effort. Love the kid, he played his guts out on some of the WORST teams we’ve ever had here. It would be awesome to see him as a Day 2 pick, but I imagine he’ll be a fifth rounder since he’s limited as a rusher.
He’s really good and he’s not slept on. Last week i saw a video here on YT where a guy from … i think it was pff, was hosting jim nagy, and they were talking about the good d-linemen that will be at the sr bowl, especially against the run. At one point, the host said to nagy : « outside of the obvious guys like landon jackson and ty Robinson, there will be some good run defenders». He’s not slept on by anybody who has an in-depht knowledge of college football
Ty Robinson has such potential in the pro leauge. He's still learning but good lord he is such a disruptor at the line of skirmish. Any pro team would be silly not to go after him.
Ty and Nash would make a team that plays a 4-3 be able to consistently cause pressure even if they rush 4… I wish my niners would trade down and could draft both if possible.
Keep it 💯 with u pats stats he already look better than what we got at defensive tackle besides barmore , we need atleast 2 other tackles , no excuses for this patriots this year
Do the Pats do NOT need 2 Dlineman. They Play a 3-4 and with Barmore + White they have two top DLineman. Godchaux is having a down year but that can be due to new defensive coordinator trying to add their own flavor and wrinkles in addition to playcalling and personnel grouping. Like he said Ekuale and Pharms are both young guys on this roster with good upside as backups and spot players. They just picked up Jaquelin Roy who was a guy they worked out in202 or 23 draft. If they were to go for another dlineman it would need to be a guy to clog the middle with good lateral athleticism to shut down run lanes. What the Pats need 2nd most on defense is 3-4 pass rushing OLB. Yes 2nd most because the most glaring hole on defense is a better than average, meaning leaning good-->really good, CB. A guy opposite Gonzalez with size who is has good footwork and quickness. Jonathan Jones has gotten old really quickly and Marcus Jose, though good defender in the slot, is just too small to defense 90% NFL starting #2 WRs. As far as rush 3-4 OLBs you don't need to take one in first two rounds, guys like Brady Swinson-LSU, Patrick Payton-Florida St., Tyler Baron-Miami are all high upside pass rushers that will be available outside top 70 draft selections. That being said, I would love to take Mike Greene-Marshall or even Kyle Kennard-So. Carolina late day 2. That probably won't be case but NFL teams are sheep during the draft and any run on another position could push the aforementioned guys down a bit. Another role on defense that I would rank over Dlineman need is a good athletic middle backer to pair with and prepare to replace Bentley in two years. Marte Mapu, for me doesn't have LB acumen and is true "Big Safety" who also lacks ILB/MLB acumen and IQ diagnosing offensives schemes. (I guess he could learn that in 2 years but by then will he have been extened from his rookie contract expriring??) Bottom line, I like this guy he's depth piece that's a "nice to have" but not a need for 2025 - 2027 Patriots roster. If he's there in 4th and you got your CB2 with pass rushing OLB, go for it. but even then I rather get a Demontae Capehart or Darrel Jackson Jr, guys with higher ceiling as both run stopper and interior pass rush.
What is your obsession with Tipp Reimann? He's only a blocking TE! He'll catch passes only when Trey McBride is out with injury, but he, himself, is no Trey McBride!
His movements are "clunky", doesn't look agile, has a short stride. Looks like he's only a couple cheeseburgers away from being an offensive lineman, which might actually be a better position for him.
Honestly he could have filled a video full of his impact plays in games alone. He made so many plays, if nebraska back end was better he would have easily been rated best dt in college. I bet he could be a day 1 guy by the nfl draft.

I met him a lot after the games he was always happy to sign autos and always had a smile on his face definitely a fav of mine too

PFF is not the best until the combine and even some pro days.
Just commented same thing about lions
This is a detroit and dan campbell guy
you can tell this guy is a true winner, competitive, and plays with a relentless warrior spirit. Exactly what the Niners DNA is made of. Hope they draft him.
Thanks, man. I'm just now honing in on him. I love high motor big men. He does need to finish better, but that might be because of his high motor.
He just gets going and turns into a train. Sometimes that leads to him blasting past his target.
Love this dude. 49ers go get him
Perfect for my lions hopefully third with comp but probably 2
Patriots fans want to see a good LT, and WRs, a Hell of a lot more than a DT!

I really like jack nelson too
We should of had Brandon fiske how is the patriots keep missing players like that
@@tonystarks7722 I really wanted him or nt T'Vondre Sweat in the 2nd unfortunately we chose Polk who man I really improves next year
@@johnvalentine5917 I knowww I completely agree with you or at least just stayed and picked Ladd

I like this guy. He's freakishly strong and could add serious depth for the patriots defense.
Is he a 3 technique or nose?
He played some nose in his first two seasons and has played just about everything since then. Lots of versatility.
@patsstats Thank you 👍

Better comparison: Braden Fiske.
I think the Seahawks should go after him 😂

Far from. This guy can move. He's definitely not suited to be an O Lineman. Let him pass rush and let him eat.
Dang you must be a GM or college coach such incredible analysis
Yeah, he's definitely not fat at 311 pounds at 6'6". Solid, strong, athletic, tenacious. Just like Nash (The Polar Bear).
