I think there is something about Kenyans.. U guys your so loving... U and Janet rangi are a blessing to some of us...I pray when I come to America.. I'll also help Ugandans with such information
It's important to know also that the each bill is due on a specific date of the month, and if you don't pay, and you don't get a payment plan the company cuts your service of, or your insurance gets cancelled, or your electricity and phone gets turned off and there are costs to put them back on! These are very critical piece of information relating to bill payments in America. Also, as video suggests, each state has different costs of living and weather conditions! States like California, New York, Pennsylvania...have high cost of living, while states like Oklahoma, Iowa, Arkansas are have considerably lower costs of living. Some states like Pennsylvania have many taxes while star like Delaware have less taxes. Some states have extreme weather conditions like very cold and huge snow, like Minnesota does. Other states like Florida don't have winter. Some states have hurricanes and tornadoes every year, others don't. Think about those realities too as you dream about going to live or work on the US. They can be additional challenges to Africans coming from heavenly warm weather all year round. 😂
@@dianahnattabi758 Chicago and Boston have very cold winter weather and huge snow. Chicago is very windy, it's even nick named Windy City. Winds make the winter colder. Boston definitely has high cost of living and so is Chicago. Boston is laid out like European city and might give comfort to some Africans cos some African cities are designed after European style.
@@alphabilalkoroma5746 New Jersey generally has good weather, winters aren't extreme. Cost of living is reasonable. It borders New York City at some locations like Jersey City. So some people live in Jersey City and travel to work or do leisure in New York City and back. The closer to New York City the more likely life is a bit expensive, especially if you rent apartment. Job opportunities are good according to friends who live there. Like any other state they have their taxes and from little experience, they pump gas (petrol) for customers while in some other states like Pennsylvania customers have self service of gas into their own cars. New Jersey has great educational services and resources too. They have beaches for fun times too. Over all a great place in my general experience and knowledge.
Thank you Shiko for giving people hope. I have seen so many Kenyan in USA discouraging our people back home from coming here. US is the land of opportunities. It's depends on what you want and how you take it. Yes there are bills here and in Kenya too there is bills. But life is not hard as people portray. As long as you are not lazy and you are positive , you will make it. Don't listen to negative people......they will tell you how hard it is to live in USA and they are still here and they are not planning to go back to Kenya. Just think about it.
Thats true. I tell people when you hear someone has a ten storey apartment in Ruaka or Kitengela they have worked like crazy for 20+ yrs all while raising kids& going to school.
I think going back home also becomes hard for them coz they have nothing to fall back to. No investment so have nothing to start on. They left the kenya system( many) years ago and would be hard to fit in again, people will laugh and mock them.So they complain about how hard things are, they r already entangled by the system, and I believe as years passby they learn better and do betterbut when for their now, maybe actually things r not good for them.
Inawezekana, thank you for this information, though you did the video a long time ago, today i have learnt a lot through it, through you. Thank you my sister.
Me every time I click on Shiko's channel..."Hi friends".. "And here we say inawezekana". Randomly started watching Shiko and now am addicted. Can't miss a single video ❤❤❤❤. Lots of love from your hometown, limuru
Since I came across your page, I got hooked. You are too sincere and highly desirous of other people's happiness, growth and development. Thanks so much. When I get to US, I must look for you, to offer one on one gratitude. Keep the hope greener, through your excellent work.
America I'm coming through the mighty name above all,to permanently live, study, work and get be buried there after I die, home siji so help me God🙏🙏🙏.which state ever in Africa kids school freely for twelve years, work and get paid?
Thanks for your clear clarification shiko, I thumb up for your hosting guys they teach you how to fish out in USA. For really," among the flocks one can.... And save others." May God Bless you and gives more and more Subscribers🙏🙏🙏

On matters investments you can also buy government bonds in addition to your land, it’s very flexible and the return is good every 6 months you earn your interest. You don’t have to keep your money in a savings account buy bonds and tbills open a custody account or speak to your bank for this
Living in Souther California is very expensive....much more expensive than some other states. We have great weather most of the time. A good 1 bedroom apartment is at least $1,500. A mortgage of 3-4 bedrooms can be 3-4 thousand dolllars monthly. Then remember all the utilities, property taxes, earthquake n fire insurance, home owners insurance...etc. I am a single woman n must earn at least 8 k monthly to cover my expenses with my chn. Thank God, I was able to highly educate myself n provide for my family. I also send $ home to my country for my parents there
Thanks lovely lady so honest and true to your word. Much blessings for these free info your giving out. Both you and Betty are giving us such valuable info about life in the diaspora. Much credit for both you gals this openness has never been here before. Very much appreciated love you sana.
From me what I can say you are doing good job you two Shiku and BETTY AZ the information you are giving us is the information which many people can't give us it's only depending with the person thenkx sana for good job.
A credit card is given to you by banks or companies for you to spend money which you don't have but you repay monthly with a high interest. Eg the bank can give you a credit card with an amount of ksh100,000 This means you can go to the shops, buy whatever to that amount. End of the month you pay a % of the amount let's say they will deduct from your salary ksh10000. You are left with ksh90,000 but then they add a big interest on this balance. Here in S.A it can be 20% to 25% interest depending on your credit worthy. So you see, although your paying back, you can be trapped into debt coz of interest. One credit card will be fine to manage. The best thing is to pay more than what they deduct. Am not sure if you can do that in the U.S. When you pay back credit facilities without defaulting, it increases your credit score and worthiness and you become important for those who want to offer you good loans eg when u want to buy a car or a house. They check your records and see you are a good payer.
Such a wonderful content. Now Shiko tell us what it takes to own a home in terms of mortgage. The requirements, how much you pay as deposit and installments
