      @@georgem2456 5 months after your question and not the guy you asked, but I love my C3, had it for 2 years, no tech issues, confortable crusiing on highways, cant complain about it and I still love looking at it! I have the 81 hp version. If you dont like confort oriented suspension you will probably be more happy in a fiesta but in 3rd gear this little car pulls and is fun for me to drive, drove in inthe mountains as well, no high speed cornering because the soft suspension makes you feel like in a boat but I geniunely had fun driving it! its not a fast car, or a cornering oriented car, but a confortable car, but in 3rd gear you get torque that lets you overtake stuff and I regularly cruised on highways and overtook whatever I needed to, benefits of its little weight

      Yet...I've just been out for a lengthy drive in a heavily used demo car (the Flair trim) with the 1.2 turbo 110ps 3 cylinder engine with the EAT6 auto transmission and it was fantastic! Incredibly smooth and very powerful with 205nm of torque at 1500rpm. It beats my Mk3 Skoda Fabia 1.2TSI 110ps, 175nm of torque at 1400rpm, with 7spd DSG auto, for smooth ride. But the two are quite closely competing. I like the look of the C3 too. It's not as boring as my Fabia. Suspension is on the soft side but my wife and I are liking that as it will make a change from my Skoda Fabia setup. After some careful research, reliability seems good with no intrinsic problems. Citroen have really raised their game over the last 6-7 years or so. So much so that we already have an appointment with the Citroen garage to do a deal on a new Flair.

I enjoy driving it very much every day. And the C3 will be even more comfortable! And look so great from the inside and the outside!

      While it may be true that French cars had great designs for decades, it was never actually done by the French themselves, but by Italian design studios like Pininfarina. The new-wave of French car design started with the Peugeot 206 and Citroen Xsara Picasso, but ever since then they seem to be in a deep identity crisis. Contemporary Citroens have an eye-catching branding style but the core design of their cars isn't any unique.

So , New C3 PureTech 82 petrol (SHINE version) cost 15,200 pound in UK , in Poland you can get one for 10,700 the only difference is that in Uk you get extra features like connected cam plus navi and alloy wheels where cost more less like 1200 pound ... still over 3k less . The first thing I noticed was that the airbumps on the door are not aligned with the air bump panel on the rear wing. It's the same on both sides of the car and on all of these models. Kevin Harris Yes I agree. If you pause the video at the 39 - 40 second mark, you can clearly see the rear airbump, where Ginny's hand is, does not align with the airbump on the door. If you look at similar videos for this car you'll see the same. If it doesn't bother some people or they can't see what I'm talking about; great! But personally it would bother me if I was to own one of these cars.

    • @ianburg9905
      @ianburg9905 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That car does have a slight misalignment of the airbumps, but not the panels. I'm just buying a brand new C3 with airbumps and all the cars I've looked at are perfect in this regard. So it's not something to worry about. Even if you did get one that did not align you can have it refitted under warranty. On the point about quality of the C3, I'm a car tech and I've been all over these new C3's. Qualtiy is better than any previous Citroen in my opinion. Citroen have really raised their game now on build, fit and finish. And my colleagues (techs) who work on them are very pleased with the way the cars are performing and are trouble free.

    Gran bella macchina , testata anche per qualche ora di seguito ; è molto
    bella , parecchio comoda e ha diversi accessori pratici e funzionali .
    .. ma da possessore non la consiglierei.
    È la mia prima citroën e ho il mod mk3 se non erro.
    Sono rimasto maluccio sul consumo (che se non si guida a bassi giri , come dice il pc di bordo , Beve come un matto) , ammortizzatori che credo siano il punto debole (non si comporta molto bene se non si è a bassi regimi e sono già a 2 spaventi mentre percorro una curva lievemente
    sconnessa, e non a 2000km/h), alcune fra le rifiniture : un esempio fra alcuni è la ruota di scorta che "balla" nel proprio alloggiamento , l'esile blocco di plastica si sgancia ad ogni dosso creando non poco rumore.
    Sono stato avvertito anche di una cinghia nel motore , probabilmente quella
    di
    distribuzione , descrittami da un meccanico come "moolto pericolosa se
    si rompesse , occhio !"...e non sto a dire cosa mi ha risposto quando
    gli ho chiesto se la cosa fosse frequente.
    Presa in sostituzione di una vecchia macchina è stato un buon aggiornamento per me, ma non mi ha colpito.
    Peccato.

    I want this vehicle with a CVT transmission and a small-size steering wheel from the new Peugeots. Oh, and a proper door handle please. It's a shame PSA can design such a good engine as the 1.2 unit but then butchers it with a horrible lineup of gearboxes.

    • @axnn1
      @axnn1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You want this with a CVT? Those are one of the worst transmission ever made. Constant failure rates and massive unreliability. Not to mention how if it breaks (or should i say when) it's needs to be replaced entirely which costs thousands. Horrible invention. You're way better off with a standard transmission or a manual.

    • @profemeritus534
      @profemeritus534 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well my friend, you haven't driven a Subaru lately I assume, because their Lineartronic gearbox is a dream. I don't mind it breaking if they improve ride comfort - and they definitely do, it's a whole different level of automobilism.

    • @ianburg9905
      @ianburg9905 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@profemeritus534 As an ex-tech I can tell you CVT is not a good choice in most vehicles. They tend to have short lives compared to many other types of auto boxes. The Subaru you speak of is nice to drive but hugely expensive when the CVT goes south. I've replaced one for a customer and he needed to remortgage his house to pay for it. And I'm not joking. That original box lasted just 85,000 miles. Torque converter auto boxes are making a big comeback because they outlast most dual clutch and CVT transmissions. They are also smaller and lighter and very much mimick DSG driving smoothness. My C3 with the EAT6 auto box is pretty darn good especially with cruise control engaged. She drives herself really economically and smoothly.

    Building a car that is focused on comfortable seats and soft suspension isn’t really something associated with today’s driving. More like the 70s or 80s cars. Ford Fiesta much more fun to drive

    With the MirrorLink you will be able to use the SatNav on you smartphone.
    And why do reviewers constantly bitch about having to look at the screen to change the temperature. First of all it is extremely rarely you have to adjust the temperature. Second you should also bith about looking at the SatNav or changing radio station.

This lady doesn`t have what it needs ... seems that she learned a story or read from a teleprompter ... no feelings , no personal touch . It wasn`t enough that James presented all day long , now you sent another "pro" to do the reviews . The number of subscriebers is shrinking by the day - i wonder why ?!

    Worst...."car"....eeeever!! my parents bought one new, full option, changed it after 8500km.
    Despicable front seats, awful driving position, I'm 1,82m , mediocre inside quality at best,
    and above all that the engine stopped one morning at -13°C after they drove 5-6 km away from home...which I found very peculiar...they had to be towed and at the dealer they have been told that there is nothing wrong with the car, it just needs to stay in a warm place for a while...

    • @ianburg9905
      @ianburg9905 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not the car, it's you not being used to the super compliant ride the Citroen gives. And if you are not a smooth driver anyway, that will be amplified no doubt. I have the 6 speed automatic so that's not an issue for me but I also use a manual version to and it's great in my opinion. It has great seats especially over big distances. I often cover 4000 miles a month in mine and it's the most comfortable car I've owned. And I have had Mercedes, Audi, VW, Skoda cars over the last 30 years. I wonder what was wrong with the gear change on the one you drove. They are not normally sloppy but the lever does have slightly more travel than some other cars. It tends to fool people into thinking it's sloppy. It's not.

      @@tg1w well i mean i am disappointed with my citroen C3. I bought it in 2017 for commuting (home to work). The car made 21.000 km in asfalt and cobblestoned routes. In present time the car make some noises in front and the Citroen repair center told me to change suspension. It is absurd! A 3 years car can not need suspension replacement. I don't trust it quality. Who knows how many parts it will need to repair after changing the suspension. I am done. I am selling it.

    • @ianburg9905
      @ianburg9905 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oquefizhoje That's very strange. My 2018 car has 40,000 MILES on the clock and it has been driven very hard. No actual problems with the suspension (see further comment below), or any other part of the car. Everything good. Trust me, our roads are full of potholes and probably can't be much different to any roads you have. The one thing I would mention is that the front suspension bushes can make a creaking noise and light banging noise. I did have this at 10,000 miles. It was a reported issue on a few C3's and easily fixed. All it required was the bushes to be lubricated by my dealer. This was done under warranty and fixed the issue straight away. It took less than an hour. It's most likely what is causing your noise, not the fact the suspension is worn out. Your dealer is trying it on and trying to get money out of you for something that doesn't need doing. Suspension wearing out on a car with just 21,000kms on it is practically impossible these days. Citroen build them good and tough in the suspension department, and everywhere else. Tough little cars.

    • @oquefizhoje
      @oquefizhoje 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ianburg9905 Thank God... someone understand me. i am that precise sentation that the dealer did an imprecise diagnostic and didn't care about it. I was very frustrated and o sold my C3 and i bought the new Renault Captur. I did sent emails to the Citroen Portugal and to the factory, but no result. Citroen came out with this 50% discount to replace all the 4 weel suspension. I liked very much C3 but now i am happy for that issue since i will not need to contact Citroen never again.

      @ianburg9905 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oquefizhoje Glad you are happy with your Renault. Aside from different spring and damping rates, as far as I'm aware, the suspension is the same on the Capture as the C3. All the best for the future.

      no, the camera is constantly on and continously recording and deleting the content, keeping only 30secs before an impact do 1min after it in memo. or when you manually ask it to make a pic/video.
