Thanks for putting this up! I don't own a console so this is all I have. My only gripe is that there aren't any dialog scenes leading up to the cutscenes, so I'm just a little lost. I love how you did Yakuza 4, though! Even with the fast dialogue, it was great! Thank you!
Thank You am sorry if you were a little lost, yakuza 5 dialog scenes was a nightmire to do so i just focused on the main cutscenes with a little dialog scenes to hopefully fill in the gaps.
No it was because most of the time the dialogue was filler like you have to do a fetch quest,excetra so i skipped them cuz i got bored and kept the dialogue that pushed the story from my Point of view
Both Taiga Saejima in Yakuza 5 game and Takamura Mamoru in the anime Hajime no Ippo fight bears and share the same voice actor Rikiya Koyama. I think maybe it was a reference to the show.
The prison and hunting village sections are loosely based on a real life prison escape including the bear encounter and hiding out in a traditional hunting village for the winter.
Anyone else notice the card game they were playing after getting handed the keys to break out. Kinda funny seeing them playing 13 didn't realised till I played the remastered version of the game, being Vietnamese kinda cool to see it elsewhere.
I really like Yakuza game, but it to slow. Thanks, now I can focus on the main story. Without do 1.000 of side missions and tons of boring dialog reading.
SO MUCH IMPORTANT STUFF IS MISSING WTF. You did decently well on yk4 to put in dialogue (although you skim through it in seconds), but here you straight up skip A SHIT TON of important plot.
not really saejima arc was long and boring most of the time it's a set up to something important I just took out the set up plus when I uploaded this video I wasn't thinking of uploading it I was playing at my own pace and I skipped the prison dialogue because it was boring and fetch quest kinda thing, and finally, the story of yakuza 5 felt bloated the story by itself is around like 15 plus hours without skipping it and for my first playthrough it was BORING. except for Akiyama, Kiryu and Majima storyline So I kept in the cutscene that was relevant in my eyes.
@@LegionXMoose For the most part, the whole imagination stuff was unnecessary to the story, I agree. But you skipped the conversations between saejima kosaka and baba. Why baba was framed, why saejima got expelled and is being hunted and their reaction to the newspaper with majima's death and the plan to get saejima out of the picture
@@zack01598 it's been a long time I really don't remember what I took out but if I did then it was either I skipped the cutscene myself cuz like I said yakuza 5 overall story is slow pace AF or I forgot to include it in given the fact that recording the gameplay and just sitting there waiting for the plot to move forward it's just.... 15+ hours of waiting I think I including the major cutscene and either skipped the dialogue cutscene or just skimmed through them If the convo with baba, saejima with dialogue cutscene I skipped it thinking it wasn't important because of the bloatedness of the writing if it was high production cutscene then I forgot to put it in.

I didn't want to come off as mean, I was just suprised that something important was skipped. I love yakuza and I want people to have a coherent experience, ya know?
@@zack01598 Nah it's all good I've got thick skin but am glad at the end of the day it is time-consuming to do those type of video and doing real-life stuff and I understand as a yakuza fan myself before anyone knew what the game was, for me that best story narrative was yakuza 0 and 4 the rest was good but yakuza 5 my god it was too long when it could easily be a lot shorter and that is what I was trying to do, some like it some don't at the end of the day it's my perspective on the story.
Seijima looks like lee. I think he is Lee’s son and Majima is also his son. Also makato is Lee’s son and is related to Majima which is why majima didn’t follow makato he didn’t want to do the incest. Good man.
Saejima’s look in this game is what made Lee exist in Yakuza 0, despite 0 coming out after 5. Those two would also be close to age if Lee hadn’t (spoiler) died after that explosion

That would be good, it can focus on their past more but we know more of that past in yakuza 4 but its a nice idea
