It's shocking considering how into "The Mask of Zorro" Fabien apparently is that he doesn't seem to realize that Zorro has been around since the 1910s! 😅It probably is about time for another revival (and it will inevitably happen) but, Zorro was basically already a franchise long before Antonio Banderas played him! In other words, there have been a lot of Zorro films, plus multiple TV series. Along with the Scarlet Pimpernel, Zorro has been cited as, literally, one of the main sources of inspiration for modern superheroes (specifically both Superman and Batman). EDIT: Just looked it up and, sure enough, new "Zorro" TV series already in the works... 😉(Knew it was about due, every 15-20 years or so and a new Zorro movie or TV series always has to be made)
