3:20 Completely agreed. Especially in this (very) budget class. There is no need of baby-sitting here (monitoring the battery level; exposing the watch to the light regularly and so on). And don't get me wrong, the solar-charging is a very cool thing and technology, especially in the capacitor-driven EcoDrive. If this negative display version is so legible (as an electricity bill on a full-moon light), I can only imagine how good is the positive display version one in this respect. Thank you for the good review!
I love solar, but nothing lasts forever. Each watch has it's pros/cons, and sometimes a simple battery operated quartz beats a solar watch just from it's almost maintenance-free operation. Resin/Acrylic crystals scratch easily but fortunately they also polish easily as long as the scratch isn't too deep. A lot of people use Polywatch to buff out shallow scratches. Great choice BTW.
I also bought both, but I hated the negative display. You had to look at it almost straight on and in plenty of light to see it; it sucked. I love the positive display. I sold the negative display the next day on Ebay.

In dual time, the main time should've been displayed on the top right corner but that can be overlooked for how good this one is. Wish they had used an Electroluminescent backlight.
Not sure if any of the "AE" models have EL light. Perhaps the amber light is a theme that Casio specifically keeps for the AE line. I have a fondness for this style because it reminds me of the light bulbs we used on the submarine for when we had to "go dark" for periscope operations at night time.

It would be tough. The lug width is not designed for aftermarket parts so you would most likely need to modify the watch in some way to get it to work.
Casio’s model numbers can be perplexing. Except for the AE1300 (Countdown/RefereeTimer), all the AExxxx (AE1000, 1100, 1200, 1400, 2000, 2100 & 3000) models are World Time watches, with mostly identical operations to the A500WA. This new AE1500 doesn’t seem have any connection to the other AE models.
I would say the only connection is the great price and backlight. I know there is an explanation of model number codes for G-Shocks but I have not seen one for regular Casio's. Would be very interested in seeing one.
Can you measure the bandwidth please? Is the case more grey than black? Casio advertised the positive display AE1500 with a black case and the negative display AE1500 with a grey case. But I cant see theres a difference on pictures.

In the beginning of this video you said that you were in Casio's warehouse. Then you said that the watch was sent to you. What gives?
Lol, I meant the watch came straight from the Casio warehouse.
😛 ¡Saludos!. ¡Excelente video!.
Good DISPLAY!
Yes I was very impressed with it.
Why in the fuck Is this watch so hard to find
Not sure. It was pretty easy for me. I bought one directly from the Casio website and another from Amazon. I am in the US though, not sure if it's more difficult in Europe or Asia.
It's a good watch and the price is super cheap.. just got mine today from Amazon
Casio ; best producer of money value watches.......
Wow! Size of digits does matter! 5600 is ridiculous in comparison .... 1500 is enough for me... you don't need radio accuracy, it's everywhere on internet, you don't need 1 cm squared micro solar panel and you don't need 200 m underwater ...100 m is just enough for swimming....
Lindo reloj
It's for boys or man
You had me at ten year battery, but it’s way too big….
I can see that. There's a whole bunch of smaller sized Casio's with 10 year batteries. Half of the fun is shopping around and finding the right style.
