Like the look of your setup. Great idea with the tarp but I'm not sure with modern fabrics whether or not tarp touching tent may let water go straight through? Anyway, looking forward to seeing your adventures 👍
Hi Phiĺ, Thanks for watching the video. The tarp only touches at the ridge pole, I will let you know how I get on with it. I assume you ride also? If not enjoy the camping and follow my channel to see where I end up. Ride Safely.
@@newburybiker8852 Yep I ride an old GS1200 but go much heavier with a two man tent and a hammock set up - lets me pitch up at a campsite or wild camp regardless of the terrain. Did two trips, Scotland and Norway last year in search of catching a sea trout. No joy so far!
@@phillambert8497 sounds like you have it all sorted. Im thinking of spending some time in Galloway. The Galoway cost looks a good place for camping and views must be great. May do befor the Midgies come out to eat me Have you been to Galoway ?
@@newburybiker8852 yep love By Alloway as a 1st night-there's the Raiders Road you can wild camp right on the river bank and has a tidy toilet block at Otter Pools ....why pay for a campsite? The midges can be fierce though - given up on more than one trip because of them😂
I know you didn't show it, but the pole is a pain to get into the eyelets, it could be an inch shorter, it'd make it a lot easier to insert, just my opinion. I've had mine for 2 years and the price shops are charging now is ridiculous lol. I got mine for £49. But it is a great tent. I use the ultralight DD tarp with mine, it gives a lot more coverage for cooking. Thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure ✌️ 🤙 🤟 Have a very happy new year 🎉
Hi Rich, Thanks for the comments. Yes the pole is tight in the ridge of the tent. Im trying to improve my video content and working on the editing of the footage. I did wonder if I should have tried to show that but thought I would show the part about letting off the adjustment rather that showing me struggling with it. Im not put off by this as the tent will fit in my soft panniers and is compact. I was a bit worried about how close the tent is when you are laid in the sleeping area on a sleeping padc and sleeping bag. But I have a 3 person Vango tent which is massive but it's 4.7kg. Love your scooter and the horn sounds just the job. I have subscribed to your channel. Keep an eye out for some kit reviews. Im also thinking of doing some back garden cooking videos untill the weather picks up. Ride safely. 🙂
@@newburybiker8852 I forgot to mention about the side of the inner hitting your face, I've got used to it, it's definitely not a tent for spending long periods of time in lol. Thanks for the sub, see you on your next upload 😀
there 7000 mil poles my mate yes lovely tent got mine 2 days ago and im camping in it now and were its got one guy line each side put another 2 on it one on each side so its got two on each side and nothings moving that baby i would be happy going in 50 mph winds in the oex bobcat 1 oh and its was raining hard all last night because this is the second night in it and thumbs up up to now
@@austieoutdoors9763 Hi, thanks for the suggestion on additional guides on the tent. Good bit of kit I must agree 👍. Ride safely as always (If you rude of course).
@@newburybiker8852 or then again it doesn,t really need guy lines because its a great tent and i went out in the tent that night for a camp and i was way too hot in it because it was the night it was 12 degrees 🥵😔

Thanks for the advise Phil. Looks like early May is the time for a visit. I will start planning for the trip. 🙂

Yes its definitely a sturdy compact tent. I love my bobcat 1 tent.
Looks like a good bit of kit, @lcedidi could do with one of these 🤣🤣
Thanks for your comments. It does look good, but not yet camped out with it. Im really excited about trying it out in anger.
Ride safely.
