    I believe this scene was, if not entirely, almost entirely, based on an actual real-life Fire Brigade mistake of this kind.

    I know they were late but why couldn't 1 of them just walk a bit over to check if they wernt they and then certify roles not just were first

      Because the pump should charge the dry riser when they arrive doesn’t matter who is on scene, the pump ladder crew would automatically think that the Geoff did his job and ordered someone to charge the dry riser

      Ok, it's just that they were around the corner they could have checked and not jumped to conclusions

      I’m sure they would have heard the Pump book in attendance over the mainscheme radio. Having said that I think LFB were using button boxes at the time.

      ​@tigger1662003 they were only 1 problem. Geoff did book in attendance, so control and the pump ladder had no clue they were first on scene, and the PUMP should connect the dry riser as protocol
