I am only 195 lbs and I am not that strong but there probably arent many body builders that have my power and probably none that have the same knock out power as me due to having zero skill set. Just like body builders can squat more than NBA players but can't dunk, and the few that can couldnt dunk over an NBA defender.
Skill and stamina is the most important thing when it comes to fighting. In human nature just like animal nature fighting should only be used in survival, only if necessary.
This is all a bunch of bro science except for the part of bodybuilders not knowing how to fight. Everyone else in the world who doesn’t train MMA also doesn’t know how to fight but bodybuilders do have the physical advantage over non fighters, and once bodybuilders train fighting they have advantages over skinny MMA fighters under their weight class.
Most of the "bodybuilders can't fight" takes are just mass compium for skinny fat non lifting guys who don't actually know how to fight either it makes them think their skinny fat untrained ass can match jacked dudes who lift heavy who also don't train for fighting. That being said not everybody has the potential to be an elite fighter; I boxed for 2 years & eventually quit cause I just figured that I was never going pro with all the competition.
@@The11thDimension91 Yeah being bigger and stronger is still advantage in a fight. Of course a trained fighter will beat up bigger guy who doesnt know how to fight but if the big guy actually knows how to fight and their fighting skill is evenly matched then the smaller guy is in trouble. There is a reason why there are weight classes in combat sports and there are some jacked fighters. Alistar Overeem and Brock Lesnar when they had match over 12 years ago they were absolute monsters. I doubt lower weight classes would stand chance against them. Ngannou is also pretty jacked and even Mike Tyson who is arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time was pretty jacked in his prime.
No even an untrained guy are better than body builders Bodybuilders just train muscles and being fragile and dont want to movewell because they think everything will kill their gains and lazy because theres a thing in bodybuilding called rest days they dont want to move because one move stress their musvles they think it will reduces gains But in untrained guy he doesnt care what happens goes in the bar helps his mom lift many weights doesnt care about his ego work job can movewell because he moves whenever he wants Probably a construction worker too and has better core strength because hes always in a work In addition bodybuilders are only guys who sits or lay in the bed editing his muscles and everything
Since hes a hobby fighter he goes to the gym 6 days a week in the morning and trains mma at night. A fighter aspiring to be pro shouldnt do that probably just strength training 2-3 times a week and fight 4-6 times a week
SPECIFICITY - not because you are a bodybuilder means you cannot FIGHT - if you train to box you will become better in boxing - very simple this is why the last point is very important
Ngl athletic training definitely made me much more loose (pause) and comfortable. I went into the air force basic training as one of the most muscular guys but ran the slowest time and was more winded than fat guys because I prioritized bodybuilding and was hella stiff.

And to make it your whole lifestyle is so cringe Whereas you learn so much about life when you fight. .
How do you think something like strongman training, which involves much more core stability and power, would compare to bodybuilding when it comes to fighting?
Except if you just enjoy being huge with muscles, there's absolutely no reason to be a bodybuilder on steroids Girls don't like it, you will have weak ahh core, no cardio, less chances of a long life, and way more
I agree. But there are expectations. Like Ngannou, Aspinall, and Rico Verhoeven they are pretty mobile and Aspinall has good speed. But they are very athletic so that’s why. Also Just speak calmly. It would be easier to understand you as well.
I've seen two bodybuilders fight once in the parking lot of an xsport when i was in high school. It was kinda like watching two kangaroos fight. They spent most of the it, flexing, then hugging, then swiping, then back to hugging, then some more flexing. It sounds funny in my mind, but when I think back, I just cringe.
You just need to go to a relatively popular MMA gym to see bodybuilders come in for a few weeks, die from exhaustion 15 minutes after the warmup is done. Weight is weight and the body, having to move that whole chunky mass of yours would it be fat or muscle, will get tired.
In terms of fighting ability, there's only two sets: Those who trained and know how to fight, and those who don't. Bodybuilders are just one of the top subsets of those who don't. A bodybuilder has a higher chance of winning in a fight vs an average person, and an even higher chance vs a couch potato.

Skill and stamina is the most important thing when it comes to fighting. In human nature just like animal nature fighting should only be used in survival, only if necessary.
you must train combat if you want to fight
and that applies to everyone from bodybuilder to chess player
@@The11thDimension91exactly
No even an untrained guy are better than body builders
Bodybuilders just train muscles and being fragile and dont want to movewell because they think everything will kill their gains and lazy because theres a thing in bodybuilding called rest days they dont want to move because one move stress their musvles they think it will reduces gains
But in untrained guy he doesnt care what happens goes in the bar helps his mom lift many weights doesnt care about his ego work job can movewell because he moves whenever he wants
Probably a construction worker too and has better core strength because hes always in a work
In addition bodybuilders are only guys who sits or lay in the bed editing his muscles and everything
@@The11thDimension91 tbf to be an elite boxer you have to start very young, but for the purpose of learning how to punch you can start anytime

i know this is unrelated but how are hip thrusts functional outside the bedroom
@animerocks60 i see the clip of leon doing it but why would that help him in fighting or in other parts of life
Knee strikes
Martin how do you balance the gym with mma
Since hes a hobby fighter he goes to the gym 6 days a week in the morning and trains mma at night. A fighter aspiring to be pro shouldnt do that probably just strength training 2-3 times a week and fight 4-6 times a week
@@narutospersona426 but I can't do mma and gym on the same day I got school
SPECIFICITY - not because you are a bodybuilder means you cannot FIGHT - if you train to box you will become better in boxing - very simple
this is why the last point is very important
Ngl athletic training definitely made me much more loose (pause) and comfortable. I went into the air force basic training as one of the most muscular guys but ran the slowest time and was more winded than fat guys because I prioritized bodybuilding and was hella stiff.
Same thing happened to me in soccer, but then I started doing athletic bodybuilding and I was way faster than everyone else.
@@MartinRiosFitCan skipping be a good cardio ?

Please make a video about black genetics, are KFC people more aesthetic?
They do have better body genetics then Indians and East Asians. Though Northern Europeans tend to be bigger and stronger then them.

Your content is way too positive for people with "right" perception
Bodybuilding as a thing always disgusted me
Because most of then make it their whole personality
Yeah going to gym is cool and positive but it's nothing more than moving weights. And to make it your whole lifestyle is so cringe
Whereas you learn so much about life when you fight.
.
Spoken like a true teenager
martin can you do a video on knock knees where your knees when standing look slightly bent inwards, that would be great thanks
How do you think something like strongman training, which involves much more core stability and power, would compare to bodybuilding when it comes to fighting?
Except if you just enjoy being huge with muscles, there's absolutely no reason to be a bodybuilder on steroids
Girls don't like it, you will have weak ahh core, no cardio, less chances of a long life, and way more
Pereira whooping adesanya's ass never gets old. Rewatched it 10x
Why body builders need to fight?
Bodybuilding and martial arts are two different things i guess
From the heavy ego bodybuilders who claim they can woop ass
BBs muscles are full of water. The size just requires more energy as well.
I agree. But there are expectations. Like Ngannou, Aspinall, and Rico Verhoeven they are pretty mobile and Aspinall has good speed. But they are very athletic so that’s why. Also Just speak calmly. It would be easier to understand you as well.
I'm starting to detect an anti-bodybuilder bias here.
can you give us an mma fighter mobility video?
You are right on some things, but why calling body builders stupid? To each his own sport
To each his own sport indeed but these bodybuilders keep claiming they know how to fight
When you takked about thr runners it wasnt a good example because ine of them is like 5'6 and the other is 6' the reason is leg length difference.
Strength and skill
I've seen two bodybuilders fight once in the parking lot of an xsport when i was in high school. It was kinda like watching two kangaroos fight. They spent most of the it, flexing, then hugging, then swiping, then back to hugging, then some more flexing.
It sounds funny in my mind, but when I think back, I just cringe.
Its almost like we dont train for fighting 🤯
This is why Martin's PS5 is the strongest MMA fighter ever.
Damn a bodybuilder must have taken bros girl or something lol why the vitriol for bodybuilders?
bro is shouting for 11 Minutes straight
You just need to go to a relatively popular MMA gym to see bodybuilders come in for a few weeks, die from exhaustion 15 minutes after the warmup is done. Weight is weight and the body, having to move that whole chunky mass of yours would it be fat or muscle, will get tired.
Bro u should do more workout videos
Is that a PS5 behind you, Martin?
Yes

I love Martin Ríos ❤
Are shane nurmadirkadirk and khabib nurmadirkadirk related ? 🤔
Shane NALmadurkadurk
In terms of fighting ability, there's only two sets: Those who trained and know how to fight, and those who don't. Bodybuilders are just one of the top subsets of those who don't. A bodybuilder has a higher chance of winning in a fight vs an average person, and an even higher chance vs a couch potato.
Technique and stamina..... No stamina, you get hurt. No technique, you cannot hurt..... I do agree with you.....
I'm only 174 pounds like 5'10

How to program rotational exercises into a core routine?
Do one exercise after your workout. Don’t need to do crazy routines in my opinion if you are prioritizing ground based compound movements.

Does rotational power exersises make you have a blocky waist because it works the obliques?
no, it doesnt. even mariorios said this, also it is very important for mma/boxing because rotational power is where you get most power from
